Chapter 246: Pirate Swarm

Chapter 246: Pirate Swarm

"We didn’t say you could go." More pirates stepped in front of Kai and his crew as they tried to leave. There was a great number of purates surrounding the seven of them, a number that would normally terrify people.

"Look, I understand that you’re pirates, and I think that’s really fucking cool, by the way, but come on, just let me through. I don’t want any bloodshed. I just got this job, I’m really freaking excited for it, and spilling blood will spoil my mood." Kai raised his hands to show that he’s not a threat.

"What a coward. Big man piss his pants? Can’t even protect his women." A pirate mocked

Kai looked at the man like he was stupid. "There are like thirty of you guys around me, so who’s really the coward? Then again, it will take a lot more than you to deal with me."

"Penut, go tell the boss that this joker is looking for the lost city."

"On it!"

Kai frowned, but didn’t do anything about it. He welcomed conflict. It was a way for him to enjoy himself sometimes.

"Guards!" He shouted. "Help us!" The guards looked at Kai and his group, then turned away as if they didn’t see anything. "Useless bastards."

"Now, let’s try this again. Give us your ship, or we’ll fuck your women in front of yo-NNNGGHHH!" The pirate’s eyes widened, feeling a stabbing sensation in his chest.

He looked in front of him, seeing Kai standing there with a neutral expression, then he looked down, noticing that a hand was lodged deep into his chest.

"If there’s one thing I don’t mess around with, it’s my girls. Mentioning them just gave you a one-way ticket to hell. Now, repent." Kai split the man’s body apart like a piece of paper.

The other pirates didn’t even comprehend what happened. They were too stunned by Kai’s strength, not expecting him to be that strong.

"Amaya," Kai called out to her in a neutral tone. "Go."

"Yes!" Her body flickered from where she was standing, appearing behind a pirate and slashing his face into pieces.

"Can we have fun as well?" Gwen begged.

"Yeah, yeah. Just don’t overdo it. We don’t want to awaken the leviathan."

"You got it."

The rest of them went wild, killing all the pirates who tried to mess with them. Body parts were flying everywhere, blood sprayed all over the place, the sound of begging, crying, and pain could be heard all over the docks, and Kai just sat on the edge of the dock, splashing his legs in the water while his girls completely slaughtered everyone.

’Man, having badass women as your companions is the freaking best! I mean, look at them, they’re fucking great!’

"Holy shit! They’re killing them with ease!" Cornelia stood close to Kai as everything went down. She had drawn her sword, but she was clearly not needed by the others.

"Ha, yeah, they’re the best. Love them so much. You’ll be like them soon, too. Wait! Amaya! Don’t eat him!"

---

"Hahaha! That was fun!" Amaya kicked a body into the water while wiping blood off her face, which only smeared more blood on her face since her hands were bloody.

"It was okay. They weren’t that strong anyway." Gwen flicked an eyeball off her shoulder.

Sasha looked around to see if more of them were coming. "Do you think that was all of them? That penut guy did say he was going to get their captain."

"I wouldn’t worry about it. We can handle them anyway." Kyana fired her bow, and an arrow whipsed around her, headshotting a pirate who was trying to run away.

"Let’s get a move on." Kai summoned his ship, and they departed from the docks.

The sea was massive, and there was a lot of ground to cover...or water. Tons of ships were passing by, commercial, naval, and pirate. Kai made sure not to get in the way of any of them and simply searched for a sport where he could feel a ton of mana.

Why did he try to feel mana? He theorized that if the city was lost and no one for years could find it, then it had to be hidden. If it was hidden, then magic was involved. If magic were involved, then he should be able to sense the mana.

Kai even used his super vision to look deep into the sea to see if he could spot anything. But everything came up dry like a fish out of water.

"This doesn’t make any sense." He grumbled.

"This is a part of the reason why this job never leaves the board." Cornelia patted him on the back.

"I can get that, but you said there’s a leviathan under the sea, right?"

"Yeah. Everyone knows this. You can ask all of them. Hell, look at the sign over there." She pointed to a sign that read. ’Leviathan sleeping grounds. Stay quiet or be eaten. Your choice.’

"Do you think that the Leviathan could be a trick? One to keep the pirates at bay?" Gwen asked

Cornelia shook her head. "No, that wouldn’t make sense. It has been spotted by many people, and it attacks anyone. Pirates, civilian ships, and Navy ships. It can’t be a trick."

"Hmmm. Only one way to find out, then." Kai dove into the water.

"What the heck!" Cornelia ran over to stop Kai, but Sasha grabbed her arm.

"Just let him be. Don’t worry."

Kai’s gills activated as he swam deeper and deeper into the water. Even now, he still couldn’t see the creature that was meant to dwell under the sea. He mined some of the ore to draw its attention, and still nothing came.

’Maybe I’m too high.’ So, he swam deeper and deeper until he reached the sea floor. Still, he saw no creature.

’Shit! Is this a situation like before, where the fucking leviathan is this entire formation underwater?’ He looked around, checking to see if anything was out of the ordinary, but again, he spotted nothing. He even swam around the entire sea, looking everywhere but finding nothing.

’What the fuck!’ Whatever, I’ll go back up for now and tell them about what I learned and buy a skill that can help me find this lost city.’

Just as he was about to swim up, he felt vibrations from the surface pass against his body.

’What’s going on up there?’

The vibrations shook the sea, causing loose rocks to fall. But as they fell, something started shimmering into existence at the sea floor.

’Ha, haha, hahahaha! No fucking way! I got to tell the others!’
