Chapter 400: A Gift For You

Chapter 400: Chapter 400: A Gift For You

When Railer asked about the money, Kane thought Railer didn’t have any to spend. So Kane gave him his account password and told him to use it freely.

Kane never expected Railer to take his tens of thousands of dollars and earn millions by investing in stocks.

Since Chantelle paid for Kane’s daily expenses and computer equipment, she didn’t give him much pocket money. He rarely spent, so he had saved nearly a hundred thousand dollars.

Now tens of thousands had turned into millions, and Kane was overjoyed.

Railer shook his head helplessly at Kane’s happy expression, then ordered three glasses of chocolate milk and three slices of strawberry cake.

"He’s so slow. Why hasn’t he come yet?" Kane sat on the sofa, swinging his legs. He stared at the door while sipping his milk, leaving little bubbles on his lips that made him look cute.

Railer pulled out a tissue to wipe Kane’s mouth. Before he could finish, Kane suddenly waved excitedly toward the door.

Railer turned and saw a man in a black hoodie, jeans, and a mask walking toward them. His head was lowered, and he didn’t look like someone eager to meet them.

Kane was too excited and ran over to pull the man toward their table.

The man stopped in front of the table. He glanced at the chocolate milk and strawberry cakes, then covered his face and sighed helplessly.

"Are you really ’The King of Mountains’ ?" He stared at Kane in disbelief.

Railer instinctively pulled Kane behind him and fixed his eyes on the man. "Are you ’The Big Monster’ ?" he asked.

The man looked completely stunned. He staggered slightly before sitting down across from them, then asked Railer, "Who are you?"

"I’m The King," Railer said with a shrug.

The man took off his mask, revealing a bearded face. His eyes were clear, not the eyes of a vicious person.

He couldn’t believe the people he had wanted to meet were just two children sitting across from him, looking identical. All of this started because he had cracked Kane’s defense system. Kane then tracked him relentlessly for days and finally hacked into his computer. Kane had wiped everything clean. Not only was the data destroyed, but Kane also planted a Trojan horse.

Now, every time he turned his computer on or off, it forced him to sing a song.

He was nearly driven crazy by it, but his skills were no match for Kane’s. He failed to remove the Trojan horse, so he had no choice but to endure it.

Railer was even more ruthless. He had set a trap that froze all the man’s funds and left him nearly one million in debt. What shocked the man most was that Railer did it so cleanly there were no traces at all. He had asked several professionals to investigate, but none of them found anything. They only told him he had run into an expert, so he had no choice but to accept his bad luck.

The man had planned to give up, but Kane and Railer added him on Instagram first. They asked why he worked for Trenton. The man explained that he was just a technical hacker. He didn’t know Trenton and had only done it for money.

Later, Kane and Railer dug into his background and decided to forgive him, since he really hadn’t known. After that, they started exchanging technical knowledge with him.

The more they talked, the more excited he became. He felt he had finally met real experts.

He admired them deeply. Kane could be called the world’s top hacker, and Railer could be called the world’s top financier.

So the three of them created a chat group and talked excitedly.

Today they had asked him to meet, and he was so excited that he washed his face and cut his hair before heading out to see the experts. But who would have thought the experts were two five-year-old boys?

He still couldn’t believe it, especially when he saw Kane sipping milk while Railer awkwardly wiped his mouth. The sight made it even harder for him to accept.

How could these children really be the experts?

"I ordered you your own chocolate milk. Why are you staring at mine?" Kane said, scooping up a spoonful of cake and popping it into his mouth. He squinted his eyes in delight at how good it tasted.

The man took the chance to ask Kane several professional computer questions, and Kane answered them easily while eating, without the slightest hesitation. It was clear he hadn’t memorized them beforehand.

"How about I show you?" Kane said when he noticed the man still looked doubtful. He pulled a small computer from his bag.

The man’s eye twitched when he saw the miniature computer covered with a cartoon sticker.

Ten minutes later, the man slumped on the sofa in defeat. I’ve only been at home fora few years. Has the world become this magical? Are all kids geniuses now?

"Okay, now that we’ve confirmed who we are, let’s get to business," Railer said, cutting off the man’s urge to keep asking questions.

Kane nodded in agreement and waved for the man to hurry up and eat so they could clear the table.

The man looked at the strawberry cake and sighed again before finishing the slices in a few bites and washing them down with a big gulp of chocolate milk.

Damn, I haven’t had milk in almost ten years. I drink soda every day. Now suddenly I’m thinking of Mom. I want to cry!

"Is it so tasty that you’re crying?" Kane asked, watching him carefully. Then he called the waiter to bring another glass of chocolate milk.

The man wiped his face without saying much. Silently, he turned on the computer and got to work.

Half an hour later, Kane stretched and said, "It’s finally finished!"

Railer smiled too, while the man stared at them in disbelief. "You really gave me this three million?" he asked.

He had just made three million in half an hour. He had been a hacker for years, but this was the first time he had ever earned that much at once.

The most unbelievable part was that Kane and Railer had guided him through the whole process. He only played a supporting role. It felt incredible.

"It’s a gift for you. We’ll work together again if there’s a chance." Kane waved generously. He didn’t actually have three million, but he didn’t care.
