Chapter 212: It Never Fails to Bewitch a Woman

Chapter 212: It Never Fails to Bewitch a Woman

Hilla gritted her teeth and finally squeezed out some tears. "Yes, you got it," the director said immediately.

"Look at him as if you love and him and didn’t want him to go. Then smile a little."

"Don’t smile like that. You looked like you were about to eat someone. Smile gently."

The director got so frustrated. Hilla got everything it takes to be a good actress, and she did well in the previous shooting. But why her smile looked so sinister?

Hilla bit her lips and looked at the director, "I can’t smile."

She just wanted to beat up someone.

The director thought to himself, ’You have to smile no matter how you really feel. She looked like she was looking at her enemy, not her lover.’

"Director, let me talk to her."

Carlie saw that Hilla was reluctant to smile. It seemed like she didn’t like Stanley.

Something might have happened in the last shoot that made Hilla mad at Stanley.

Carlie couldn’t help but sneak a peek at Stanley. However, he looked normal and did show any malicious intent to Hilla.

He didn’t seem to be interested in Hilla at all.

Hilla was very beautiful, in fact, she was eye-catching. So if Stanley did something to Hilla, it would normal reaction for a man.

However, Hilla didn’t seem like someone who would keep quiet if anything happened to her.

"Sure. But hurry up. This is the last scene for today."

It was not too late and the filming was going pretty well, so they wouldn’t mind using a newbie and would love to teach her.

Carlie nodded and walked to Hilla.

In fact, Hilla had already made up her mind when she heard that they were finishing shooting. So when Carlie walked over she didn’t need to hear her talk. She replied, "You don’t have to say it. I understand. I will try my best."

Not far away, the man couldn’t help but look at her pretty face. But he quickly hid his emotions.

He quietly let the makeup artist tidy up his clothes and style his hair.

The director was relieved when Carlie came back. It was so tiring to work with an unprofessional actress. They had to be in the good mood to shoot.

It had always been the actors catering to the producers and directors. When did a director have to try to add more scenes for an actress and take care of her life?

As expected, Hilla’s acting got better, but her eyes still looked cold.

In the end, the director had no choice but to give Hilla’s eyes a close-up when she was in the right mood.

Her eyes looked much better when those young boys were not around. They finally got the shot after a few tries.

"That’s a wrap," the director yelled. Hilla immediately got up from the ground and walked away from the setting. She didn’t even bother cleaning the blood from her body.

She had to get out of here as soon as possible!

"Where are you going? Look at you, just take a shower and change your clothes first!"

In fact, her body didn’t get dirty. There was only a trace of blood at the corner of her mouth, and some blood on her costume. She didn’t get any blood on her body.

"It’s okay. I’ll just change my clothes later."

Hilla took the clothes from Carlie’s assistant and hurried into the dressing room.

When Hilla came out of the dressing room, she saw Stanley standing outside the door.

He leaned against the wall with his slender legs crossed, his head was slightly lowered, and a strand of hair fell on his face. He looked exceptionally handsome.

As expected, the young actor was very charming. Hilla washed her hands and passed him with her head lowered.

"Wait for a second!"

Hilla stopped and look at him.

"You are Hilla?"

Hilla blinked her eyes. Did it have anything to do with you?

Seeing that she still did not speak, Stanley walked over and blocked her way out, trapping her between his arms and the wall. "You don’t know me?"

There were probably very few people in this country who did not know him. Hilla frowned. "Do I have to know you?"

Stanley didn’t expect that she really didn’t know him. He looked at the expression on her face and found that she didn’t lie about it.

So there were people in the country that didn’t know him. And that person just had intimate interactions with him.

"Can you get out of my way? I have to go home."

Hilla’s face darkened. Don’t assume she would forget what he said to her in the

afternoon just because he had a handsome face.

She remembered clearly. She could be very petty sometimes.

"My, my name is Stanley..."

"Can you move away?"

Hilla interrupted him with a frown, "I’m in a hurry to go home. Can you stop being so annoying?"

Annoying?

Stanley thought that he was hearing things. It was always the other way around. The woman always followed him around. This was the first time that he approached a woman, but he got rejected?

He was in show business for so long, but he lost words at that moment.

He was about to say something else, but Hilla pushed him away and left without looking back.

She didn’t even look back!

Hilla was over the moon when she thought about the fact that she would never need to come back to this set again. She even rejected when Carlie asked her to take her RV.

She drove here herself.

However, she was there for a long time and she was really tired and hungry. When she finally got her bag, her phone was already out of battery.

Bruce must be worried about her.

Could he be standing next to the hawthorn tree in front of her house and feed the mosquitoes again? She couldn’t help but laugh thinking about it.

She drove very fast. The neon lights on the street flashed past her window, and there were many pedestrians on both sides of the street.

There would always be a lot of people taking a stroll outside on the night of a summer day.

Most of the people smiled and looked peaceful. That’s when they feel most satisfied with their life.

Hilla drove to the underground garage of the Lakeshore Center. She looked around and didn’t find Bruce, so she planned to go upstairs.

"Hilla, we live in the same neighborhood. What a coincidence!"

Hilla looked for the source of the sound and found Stanley. It seemed like he didn’t live here and that he came here on purpose.

Hilla glanced at him and said with a cold smile, "What a coincidence. If my husband knew that you came to pick me up, he would kill you."

...

Hilla’s words were so ruthless that Stanley didn’t believe her at all.

A tender smile appeared on his exquisite face, which had never failed to bewitch a woman.

However, Hilla couldn’t help but roll her eyes and thought, "How dare you flirt with me? When Bruce comes down and sees you, you will be doomed."

"Is it a joke? I mean you no ill. I just think that you act well and we can be friends. We are all in showbiz. Maybe I can help you in the future."

Stanley thought he was very straightforward and Hilla couldn’t fail to understand his meaning.

He was an actor of some renown. He had got the chance to act with Carlie, which further proved his skill. If Hilla wanted to make a name, she could be his screen lover...

Hilla glanced at Stanley indifferently. He was eye-catching even in sunglasses. Many neighbors had recognized him and took pictures of him.

Hilla distanced herself from Stanley and said coldly, "Thank you for your praise. Sorry, I don’t want to make friends and I am not an actress."

She was a designer and she was going to win awards!

Having said that, Hilla turned around and entered the building. This time, she made sure that Stanley had not followed her before entered the elevator.

Seeing that he seemed to have stood outside for a while and then left, Hilla heaved a sigh of relief.

When she returned home and opened the door, Hilla was pulled into the room by a force.

The next second, the door slammed behind her with a huge sound, and she was pressed against the door.

Bruce’s burning breath puffed on her. He was obviously very angry. The room was dark.

He didn’t turn on the lights?

Hilla was stunned. The next second, Bruce sensed her distraction and kissed her even more fiercely.

He bit on her soft lip and left a bloody wound. Hilla cried out, "It hurts!"

Bruce stopped for a moment. But soon he resumed his forceful kiss.

However, he was gentler and did not hurt her this time.

It was a long, affectionate kiss. Hilla subconsciously grabbed the cloth on his chest.

Feeling his coldness, she asked, "Are you angry?"

Her voice was a little hoarse but her tone was innocent.

She did not have a good day. She had been forced to act in a drama.

If she had known it would be like this, she would not have gone to put up the makeup and costume.

She had just calmed Bruce down last night. Today he got angry again.

Bruce stopped kissing and turned on the light.

Hilla looked up at Bruce’s gloomy face and she knew tonight won’t be easy for her.

She couldn’t help but wail in her heart. If they went on like this, she was afraid that she wouldn’t be able to get out of bed.

"I know you are angry, but I do have a reason today. My cell phone has run out of battery."

Hilla explained eagerly. She took out her phone as proof.

"I didn’t do that on purpose this time. I knew that you would wait for me at home. I had gone nowhere but to visit Carlie. She was busy with a new drama so we delayed."

Hilla dared not tell him that she had played a prostitute.

Otherwise, Bruce might prevent the drama from being released.

She knew that Bruce could do such a thing.

She was not an actress and it wouldn’t influence her. But the director and the whole team had put in a lot of effort.

Bruce seemed to calm down a little but his face was still sullen.

Hilla’s hands remained on Bruce’s chest and she stroke him tenderly, "It’s too noisy in the filming site. I couldn’t hear the call and didn’t notice that my phone was out of battery. But I rushed home immediately after I was done. I know that you must be very worried and waiting for me to go home.

"I know I am wrong. It was also my fault last time. I admit it. But you can’t be angry with me. I haven’t eaten for a day. I’m starving now."

Hearing her confession, Bruce wasn’t that angry anymore. When he heard that she had not eaten for a day, he frowned with concern.

"They don’t provide meals?"

"The food there is disgusting. I want to eat roasted chicken."

Hilla pulled his clothes and looked at him piteously.

The subtext was that she wanted him to take her to eat something delicious, maybe roasted chicken.

Bruce did not like roasted chicken, because the restaurants were usually crowded and noisy and the smell of roasted food was very heavy.

"Are we going or not? Yes, or no?"

Hilla pulled him harder. Bruce found it hard to refuse her.

He always had a soft spot for Hilla. Now she looked at him with puppy eyes.

After a while, Bruce reluctantly said, "Okay."

"Yeah, you are the best! I knew that you love me the most."

The flattery Hilla had learned from Margaret seemed to work well on Bruce.

Bruce took the car key and gave a hand to her.

Hilla leaped with joy and placed her hand in Bruce’s palm. The next second, her little hand was wrapped by his warmth.

Hilla jumped forward like a child.

"I’m so hungry that my stomach’s rumbling."

Hilla walked beside him, chirping like a bird.

As if Bruce would forgive her as long as she put herself pitifully.

Bruce saw through her tricks. He listened to her patiently.

"It’s very exhausting to help in the filming site."

Hilla suddenly thought of something and quickly changed the topic, "I will never do others such a favor again."

"Honey, how about we go to the same restaurant beside our alma mater?"

Bruce was satisfied that she called him "honey". But he did not show it. Only that his lips curled up and he said, "Alright."

When they arrived, Hilla jumped out of the car impatiently and rush to the door. She was afraid that if she keeps talking, she might let the cat out of the bag.

But she halted at the door.

Why? The smell made her want to vomit!
