Chapter 232: Silas’s Dark History-2

Chapter 232: Chapter 232: Silas’s Dark History-2

He glanced at Ivy, then cleared his throat and said in a more serious voice,

"In fact, there are many more incidents. But the one I still remember the most clearly is when a girl wanted to confess to you."

Ivy was taken aback; the curiosity in her heart piqued. "A girl?"

Ronak nodded with exaggerated seriousness.

"Yes. She wrote you a letter. But before she could give it, Silas found out. And what did he do? He marched right up to her, tore her letter in half, and told her that students should focus on their studies, not on nonsense like love."

Silas’s head dropped into his hands. His whole body screamed regret.

’Why is he saying this... I should never have let him live after that day.’

Ivy’s eyes widened in surprise as laughter rolled out of her throat.

"Silas, you did that? To a poor girl?"

Ronak slapped his knee, laughing so hard he almost fell.

"Yes! And the girl almost cried. She said she had liked her senior for years, that he was her childhood sweetheart, and she only wanted to confess to him. It turned out you weren’t even the one she liked. Someone had used you as an excuse to mess up with Silas!"

Silas groaned louder, his ears red. His heart was pulsing loudly under his chest. "Ronak..."

Tears formed at the corner of Ivy’s eyes as she heard about Silas’s strange antics. "So you tore up an innocent girl’s confession letter? Oh, Silas..."

Ronak chuckled again.

"That was one of the best incidents. He panicked so badly afterward that he kept apologizing to the girl for an entire week."

Ivy shook her head in disbelief, her smile wide. "Why would you even think a girl would confess to me?"

At that, both Silas and Ronak went silent. Their gazes flickered to each other. They knew the truth, but they would never say it aloud.

In their minds, the same thought passed.

’She had so many admirers back then... and she didn’t even realize it. Men, women... especially women.’

Silas had blocked many admirers back then purely because of the fear that Isla would become jealous and torture Ivy. Hence, he had seen firsthand... how much Ivy was appealing to the opposite gender.

Ronak quickly broke the silence.

"Anyway, there was another funny incident. Couple’s Day. Do you remember?"

Ivy nodded faintly. "Yes, I remember."

A bitter memory welled in her heart.

Ronak smirked.

"Well, Silas secretly sent you a set of clothes to wear that day, so the two of you would match. But the clothes ended up in Isla’s hands. And when Silas proudly came out wearing his half of the set... he saw Isla wearing the other half."

Silas’s face turned pale at the memory. His fists clenched at his side. The incident still made him boil with fury.

Only he knew just how close he was to slapping Isla that day.

Ronak burst into laughter.

"He ran back to his dorm like lightning and changed clothes immediately. But the rumor spread anyway. Everyone said he and Isla were a couple. He was furious. He found the guy who spread the rumor and beat him so badly the boy ended up crawling for a week."

Thud. Thud!

The rapid heartbeat-like sound of the hooves of a horse echoed in Ivy’s ears. "So... that was the truth?"

Her voice was laced with a rare trace of vulnerability. "I thought that he had finally given up on me. I didn’t talk to you for days because of that."

Silas turned toward her, his eyes filled with regret.

His lips parted as if he wanted to explain, but Ivy’s expression stopped him.

Her cheeks flushed, her heart aching but warm at the same time.

’So... the clothes were meant for me. All this time, I misunderstood him.’

Her gaze on him became passionate, almost shining. Silas’s ears burned.

He looked away, shy all of a sudden. ’Why is she looking at me like that? It feels... too much. Does she want me to kiss?’

For the first time, he thought maybe Ronak telling his "dark history" wasn’t so terrible after all.

But just as he began to relax, Ronak leaned forward, his grin wicked.

"There’s one more incident, though. One that spread through the entire dorm. The funniest of them all."

Silas’s heart stopped. His eyes widened in horror. His body stiffened like stone.

’No. Not that one. Anything but that.’

Silas looked at Ronak with horror as Ronak opened his mouth to speak.

"One time, I even caught him with your photo..."

Before he could finish, Silas leaped forward like lightning. His hands clamped tightly over Ronak’s mouth.

"Stop," Silas hissed, his blue eyes shone with a faint light, while panic shot through his chest.

Ronak blinked at him, but there was mischief in his eyes. He mumbled under Silas’s hand, trying to speak.

Silas’s heart pounded.

’Don’t say it. Don’t you dare say it. If you do, I’ll drag Drake out of his room myself.’

His gaze darkened with that threat. Ronak froze. He knew Silas meant every word.

But when his eyes flickered toward Ivy, his expression changed.

He looked as if he was saying, "Ivy’ll protect me. What can you do then?"

Silas’s jaw clenched. He lowered his head so only Ronak could hear him and whispered in a low voice filled with threat,

"Even if Ivy protects you, I’ll tell Darke about your tapes. Do you want Drake to find out you’re recording everything just in case he leaves you?"

Ronak’s eyes widened, and all his smugness vanished into thin air.

’No... not that. He can’t say that. If Drake ever found out, I would be done for. I can’t risk it.’

In an instant, Ronal turned as silent as a quail.

Seeing Ronak finally quiet, Silas slowly let go and stepped back. His heart was still pounding, pulsing like a drumbeat threatening to break free.

Ivy, however, had seen the whole thing.

"Silas, don’t stop him from telling the truth."
