Capítulo 1566: Chapter 1566: Excellent

Cherry thought for a moment, lifted the blanket, and began to get dressed too.

With one hand being inconvenient, she put on socks and pants without bothering to take off her pajamas as it wasted time. She simply wrapped a hooded cloak over them, covering from head to knee, then tossed her hair and ran out lightly.

As soon as Gavin Graves stepped into the car, Cherry slipped in right after him.

He looked surprised, and fearing he might chase her out, Cherry hurriedly shut the car door, locked it, turned her head, and buried it in his embrace. The whole motion was smooth and seamless.

“I want to go with you!”

Gavin asked, “How did you get here so fast?”

Cherry tilted her head and said, “I didn’t brush my teeth, wash my face, or comb my hair!”

Gavin chuckled, “Hmm, no wonder I see eye gunk.”

Cherry rubbed her face against his chest.

Gavin sighed, “Ah…”

When Gavin and Cherry arrived, Aria Jackson had already brought people there.

Ruth Frazer was sitting on the sofa, her face pale as paper, holding a cup of hot water, her body trembling uncontrollably as if greatly frightened.

Gavin noticed the glaring crimson marks on her wrists and ankles.

Aria walked over to Gavin and said, “Ruth said Moissanite suddenly returned last night. There are three servants at home, one on leave, and the remaining two were taken away by Moissanite. She wanted to stop him but Moissanite insisted on not listening. Worried she might call the police, he tied her up at home with ropes.”

Gavin took a distant look at Ruth and walked outside with Aria, conversing in a low voice, “Why did she ask me for help?”

“Her hands were tied behind her, making it hard to dial. The last call on her communication record was with you,” Aria answered.

Gavin took out a cigarette box, lit one, and silently took a puff, “Something’s wrong with this. According to her, the missing servants were taken by Moissanite. Wouldn’t these people fight back? There’s no sign of struggle or fighting in this house.”

Cherry interjected, “Maybe Moissanite has been parasitically cursed, and he’s covered in snake shadows; anyone who sees him gets sucked dry.”

“He couldn’t have dealt with two corpses by hand; either he transported them with a vehicle or buried them on the spot,” Aria glanced at Cherry, “The house has been searched, and people were sent to the mountains for a search. So far, there’s no news.”

“Oh no, you guys have to be careful,” Cherry said nervously, “That thing is terrifying. Once it touches a person’s skin, it clings! It parasitically grows inside the body, getting bigger and bigger!”

Aria calmly nodded in response, “Understood, I’ll report to the higher-ups, saying that we’ve discovered a dangerous bacterial strain. If it spreads after infection, there will be fatal risks. Everyone must wear protective suits during operations.”

Cherry gave her a thumbs up, “Excellent!”

Aria smiled.

Her subordinate ran over, “Boss, Ruth Frazer said Moissanite likes buying houses in remote wild places as personal art studios, but she’s not sure about the exact locations. She can only provide the address of the studio in town.”

Upon hearing this, Aria nodded, glanced at Gavin and Cherry, and asked with a smile, “Shall we go inside and chat?”

Gavin felt a bit disheartened, tossed the cigarette butt away, and walked inside with Cherry’s shoulder in his arm.

Ruth Frazer in the living room had regained a bit of composure. Seeing them enter, she stood up anxiously and said, “Officer Jackson, I really have no idea where he’s gone. He never carries his phone with him, and no one can get in touch. He once went into the mountains for three whole months without contacting me for a project!”

Aria calmly reassured her, “Don’t worry, calm down a bit, and tell us what you know first.”
