Chapter 216: The luxury of a bag.
Sunshine normally followed the advice of the system, but for once she did not want to do so. She really wanted to see that bag.
"I choose the bag." she said with firmness in her voice.
[As you wish.]
The bag appeared before Sunshine and she snatched it up quickly, perusing it with her eyes. It was semicircular in shape and small enough to be carried in one palm. The color was somewhere between blue and purple with a shadow of green, shimmering like an iridescent pearl.
The system started explaining the bag to her before she could ask.
[The LuluPod. It is a luxury, highly sought after luxurious bag crafted by the highly sought after telepathic master repairman of Alvar. It has many extraordinary functions outside of its beauty.
It changed hues to match the outfit of its owner. It can store anything from a pair of earrings, an identification document to a table. In some cases, a car or an entire spaceship.]
"Say what now?" She loudly exclaimed. "That is..." she shook her head. "How is that possible?" That was like saying a plane could fit in a handbag and that was impossible. It could not be done even if the plane was broken into pieces.
[The LuluPod has a special dimensional compartment folding core which gives it a bottomless space. If you are thinking of purchasing one, I advise you not to do so. There are two hundred LuluPods in existence and all were acquired at an exorbitant amount of money. 800,000 galactacoins or one million gold bars and in some cases, even more.]
Sunshine’s eyes bulged. The bag was even more expensive that the weather under suit! It slipped out of her hand and fell on the table.
[And there are no LuluPod scraps that were thrown out which you can repair and own your own LuluPod.] It shared.
Sunshine had thought about asking the question. But on hearing what the system said, she wiped the side of her mouth and laughed.
Who knew she would drool over a bag someday? This was embarrassing. "Who says I want it? I am a repairman with a vast space like this. I can store cars in here. As long as I keep upgrading the space, I will be able to store planes as well. In fact, I have three helicopters in here. Who needs a LuluPod?"
She flipped her hair back and huffed like she had been engaged in a verbal fight with the system.
[The trouble with this LuluPod has been shared by the owner. It has a minor glitch that is preventing it from syncing with the color of owner’s outfits.]
"What is the solution?" She asked, picking up the bag.
[Just touch the reset option on the panel that is on the bottom of the bag.]
Sunshine lifted the bag, looked at the panel and waved her hand, following the directions being given and shown on the virtual screen.
She tapped it twice and it came to life, like an electronic door lock. There were some numbers, a lock option and a reset option.
Sunshine tapped reset and the bag instantly pulsed back to life. The hues that were originally stuck on red started moving like waves, showing off their different patterns. The bag disappeared from her hands, which only happened when the system was certain that a repair had been successful.
She was left in shock. "That’s it? Fifteen thousand gold coins for that!!! This was like taking candy from a baby. It was very unsatisfactory; I did not do anything at all. I did not even learn the secrets of the bag!!! System bring it back here."
[Congratulations host for repairing an original repairman creation, The LuluPod. System reward:18 merit coins and 5 raddiX detox capsules that instantly neutralizes all kinds of poisons.]
She was still mad about the bag and the lazy client who could have fixed the problem on his or her own. Her temper flared even more when she noticed that she had made only one point!!
Why hadn’t the system told her that it was a job worth one point only?
Sunshine took a deep breath as she thought about the price of the bag and wondered who owned it. As she took another breath, she decided to let go of all things LuluPod. At least she had seen the bag, which was her initial goal.
"System, let me see the capsules."
The capsules appeared on the table, and she picked up the box. "Can it cure all poisons?" She asked.
There were many poisons during the apocalypse, anything could become poisonous but the only poison she worried about was the radiation that was emitted by the mist.
"Even radiation?"
[Yes host.]
Blinking rapidly, Sunshine let out a mild triumphant laugh. This was a benefit which was as good as the points she had not earned. If only she can get her hands on thousands of such pills, then they would walk sideways in the mist without fear.
"System can I buy more of these pills?" She asked, her voice hopeful
[Yes of course. A pill costs about 886 gold coins]
"886!?" Sunshine’s brows almost launched off her face. "I mean I understand that they are valuable but 886 coins. Is there another way?"
[You could always make them yourself.]
Sunshine was thinking the exact same thing, she nodded aggressively. "System show me a list of the ingredients, Dr. Sing will be excited about this."
The system displayed the ingredient list and grams to make a pill.
1. Star borne dust 1.5gms
2. Heaven moss 3gms
3. Levias marrow extract 2.2gms
4. Phimma bloom petals 1gm
Sunshine was not familiar with any of those things. It was like reading alien language. But she was sure that she could use her connections in the mall and Bjorn to get the ingredients.
"Can I buy them in the repairman mall?" she asked.
[These are rare ingredients. The first two, you can easily get with some effort and my help maybe even Bjorn but the last two...I am afraid they will be troublesome. You may have to find them yourself.]
A wince came from her lips. "Where? Tell me."
[In other worlds, the Levias marrow extract you will extract from giant fish called Spikers from the Levias Sea. It is a dangerous task that can cost one their life.]
"Wait! Levias sea. Is it the same one which had the speaker that was acting out?"
[Yes host, that Levias Sea. The Phimma bloom petals thrive in the Clawp nation. They naturally filter radiation to become harmless energy.]
Sunshine was already pacing back and forth. "When can I go? Can I go now?" She paused her eyes moved to the wristwatch. "I mean not now, I have to pick my kids. You know what I mean system."
[You can go but it will cost you an arm and leg. Clawp is not on the list of worlds you can access right now. Be patient, the doors will open with time.]
Sunshine thought deeply and decided to take the systems advice. "Alright then."
She left the space and returned to the living room. She saw something on the couch and nearly screamed out of fright.
