Chapter 177: He Saw Her with Another Man in Her Dream

Chapter 177: He Saw Her with Another Man in Her Dream

Yvonne Taylor also had a dream after her death.

In the dream, Zachary was unconscious for seven days and nights.

He didn’t wake up until the middle of the night on the eighth day.

When he woke up, he held a funeral and fan farewell ceremony for her.

On the day of the farewell ceremony, it was gloomy and rainy all over the city. But the whole of Times Square was filled with people who had come to say goodbye to her.

It was a dream, but the heartache was real.

She also dreamed that Zachary later adopted a child named Pearl Leinster...

He lived his whole life without a wife, and finally died at the age of 78...

When she woke up, Yvonne felt like being overwhelmed by seawater, so depressive that she couldn’t say anything.

She opened her eyes suddenly, and her face was still covered with an oxygen mask.

Subconsciously, she looked around and saw the sun shining brightly outside the

window, and greenery gently swaying in the breeze...

"So I came back...?"

There was a moment of sluggishness in her head.

She remembered the dream she’d just had, and suddenly she could hardly breathe.

She knew that it wasn’t a dream.

That was the way the mind demon was telling her that this was Zachary lived the rest of his life without her.

Just then, she felt someone’s hand move on the side of the bed.

It turned out that it was now morning, and Zachary had stayed here for another night in this life. Being aware of her movement, he woke up.

For a year, he had watched over her like this night after night, afraid that she couldn’t see him when she woke up.

Under the oxygen mask, Yvonne looked at this Zachary.

The same face, the same person.

But he’s also pined away a lot in the past year.

Her tears flowed down from her face - Zachary opened his eyes and saw her looking at him with tears silently.

He froze for a moment, thinking he was dreaming and couldn’t believe it.

The man re- closed his eyes for a moment and opened them again to see even more raging tears from her.

"Zachary..." It’s been a year since she’s spoken, and her voice function has deteriorated a bit. It sounded hoarse and hard.

Zachary was stunned for a moment, then gripped her hand hard.

"Yvonne, Yvonne...? Is that you?"

"Hmm... Hmm..." she couldn’t speak, and could only keep making sounds.

Zachary’s eyes were wet. He had been looking forward to this moment for the past year, more than three hundred days and nights.

Now was the moment, and he couldn’t believe it.

He rang the nurse’s bell with trembling. And for a moment, he was even about to cry.

The nurse and doctor came and gave Yvonne a complete and careful set of examinations.

Yvonne was very quiet and cooperative the whole time.

The test results soon came out, and the doctor joyfully said, "Mr. and Mrs. Leinster, congratulations.

"Mrs. Leinster is gradually recovering, and there are no after-effects.

"The body weakness is due to staying in bed for a long time, especially the legs. They just need some rehabs."

"Sure." Zachary took note of all of them very carefully.

"Congratulations...," the doctor was also happy for them.

"Yeah, it’s a blessing that you’re recovering so well." The nurse said.

Zachary was in such a joy and immediately called the maid at home.

"Please bring Angela and Daniel to the hospital.

"Well, tell them that mommy is awake..."

It was supposed to be a happy ending.

But Yvonne’s heart was hollow.

The doctor said her recovery was a blessing, but only she knew the truth.

The reason she had managed to come back was that another Zachary was being tortured in another world.

...

Everyone was so happy, yet there was a shade of sadness mixed with smile on her face.

Zachary noticed Yvonne’s difference, but didn’t know what was happening, all but assuming that she was in a complicated mood because of this year’s coma.

She would feel better when she saw the kids.

In fact, Yvonne did feel better after seeing her adorable children.

When Yvonne saw Daniel and Angela being carried into the ward, her heart was filled with joy.

She had twins, the older brother and the younger sister. They were exactly one-year-old, could barely walk or talk. But they were old enough to call their mom and dad.

At that moment, two little babies were wearing two identical styles of sibling outfits, one pink and one blue, sucking their fingers and staring at the woman in the hospital bed with big, innocent eyes.

The next second, the two little babies have both smiled, waving two little hands, crawling towards Yvonne, "Ma Ma... Ma Ma..."

"Hug, hug!" Angela smiled like a sunflower and fawning in a lovely way.

It could easily tell that Zachary had taken great care of the two children.

Yvonne heard them calling mom, the gloom in her heart was completely swept

away, and she deeply embraced the two children into her arms...

Night.

In the evening, the two little ones went back to the Lord Villa for dinner.

Although Yvonne was eager to stay with them all the time, the doctor said that her current physical condition still required more rest and she could not be discharged from the hospital right away. And she could use the rehab treatment at the hospital’s rehabilitation center.

The children had gone back, but Zachary was definitely here to stay with her.

As the closest person to Yvonne, he certainly sensed something different about her.

The most intuitive feeling was that she wasn’t as close to him as she used to be, but he didn’t think too much about that.

After all, she had been in a coma for a year, and it was justifiable so even if she was distant from him.

And what was more important for her right now was to get well. So he just dutifully took care of her and waited on her, and didn’t say too much about it.

Eventually, it was Yvonne who couldn’t hold it anymore.

Before bedtime, when the lights dimmed and she lay in the man’s arms, she decided to talk to him.

"Zachary, are you asleep?"

"Not yet. Is there anything you would like to say?"

Even though it was hard to start, Yvonne wanted to give it a try.

"Zachary, have you ever read the book?"

"What book?"

"Nine Cloud Dreams," said Yvonne, "It’s so popular that each student in Karovia has got one.

"The main character was a disciple of a certain Master, but was relegated to mortality for molesting eight goddesses.

"In the mortal world, he married all of them and lived a life of glory and prosperity.

"In his later years, he learned that life was like a dream and wealth didn’t last forever. And he eventually returned to a religious life with the eight goddesses."

This novel was about a story pointing out that everything in life was unreal, and she thought that Zachary would better understand her situation from this book.

...

"I’ve read it when I was a kid. What’s wrong?" Zachary said.

"I don’t know what to say. It feels like a dream.

"This year, I had a long, long dream... just like the one written in Nine Cloud Dreams, and it was as if I had gone to another world and experienced another life. But when I came back, everything was no longer there."

Zachary said, "Whatever happens, we’ll face it together.

"You can say anything you want, to me. And if you don’t know where to start, you can wait until you’re ready. I’ll wait for you."

...

"But I know in my heart that those were real, and they all happened." Yvonne didn’t put it straightforward.

Zachary listened yet not fully understood, but he still held her a little tighter. The two of them lay together on the bed with the stars twinkling outside the window.

"But I still don’t know how to say this."

Was she going to tell Zachary that she had returned to the world before she was reborn?

She’s married to another Zachary Leinster in another world? Was she sad now because she can’t let go of the other Zachary?

Not to mention whether he would believe such a ridiculous thing, and even if he did, it would just make more trouble.

"I’m sorry. I think I might not be ready."

"It’s okay." Zachary wrapped his arm around her, "If you haven’t quite figured out what to say, you can hold off for now.

"Just wait till the day when you want to tell me. It’s never too late."

"Really?" Yvonne raised her eyes, with her crystal eyes looking at the man.

"Yes, you’re right."

He kissed her on her head, "When have I ever lied to you..."

This night was the best night of sleep Zachary had ever had.

He hadn’t slept well in the year she’d been in a coma.

Now that she was awake, he felt great relief.

This night, Zachary also had a dream.

In the dream, he saw Yvonne.

Only, that Yvonne, however, was not quite the same as he remembered.

In the dream, Yvonne was a world-famous diva. She used her music to impress the world, and she created her time which couldn’t be surpassed in the next fifty years.

And it was as if he saw her in the arms of another man!

But when he angrily walked in to see who the man was, he couldn’t get a good look

at the man’s face...

Just then, Zachary woke up.

He suddenly opened his eyes to find the sun shining brightly in the room, and it was already the next day.

And those were just dreams he had.

Once he realized that it was just a dream and that Yvonne was not with another man, Zachary’s mood was much better.

And then he wanted to kiss and hug the woman beside him.

Only to find that nobody was there!

Zachary suddenly changed his face.

"Yvonne Taylor?"

He called for her, only to find that she was no longer in the ward.

Rehabilitation Center.

After Zachary arrived at the hospital’s rehabilitation center, his handsome face turned green when he heard Yvonne’s familiar voice inside.

"Ah, no, it hurts-

"Don’t, don’t do that. It’s so.... Ah, ah-"

Yvonne Taylor!

What the...

The man pushed the door in with a black, furious face and yelled, "Yvonne Taylor-"

The woman was startled by the voice, and then the two people’s eyes met. And Zachary’s anger dissipated.

Just inside the room, a giant multi-stance intelligent rehabilitation training robot was there.

And the woman was on top of the robot for rehabilitation of lower limbs.

So those sounds just now.... weren’t Yvonne doing something indescribable, but

rehabbing!

Yvonne has been in bed for a year and has not regained full sensation in her legs, and now she still has to be assisted in getting out of bed and walking.

Rehab was all about doing scientific movements and exercises so that she could get back to walking normally sooner.

Soon, however, Zachary’s face changed again.

Because the guy who was rehabbing Yvonne turned out to be a guy, and a very young guy!

And the way he was looking at Yvonne was starkly not innocent!
