Chapter 1632: Chapter 1632: Pregnant, 5 weeks

Putting on his coat, Jesse Rowan walked straight to the Cheney Family’s garage.

His red Ferrari was parked next to Sylvan Cheney’s black Rolls Royce, making it extremely eye-catching.

He changed cars almost as often as he changed women, with many styles and models collected at home, yet never sticking to one.

This Ferrari was recently acquired at a car show after catching his eye.

The car’s engine roared loudly and soon vanished into the curtains of rain. The raindrops pattered on the car windows as the wipers swung tirelessly.

The splash of red stood out in the traffic, drawing attention.

Jesse Rowan’s expression was fiercely grim, a rare sight of such chilling gaze in his eyes, resembling a wolf.

With both hands gripping the steering wheel tightly, the car drove all the way to the hospital.

Landon Central Hospital, Obstetrics and Gynecology Department.

Joan Harry wore a white mask, her eyes showing a gleam of panic and nervousness, her face unmistakably pale.

Her long eyelashes trembled incessantly, and her hand holding the report sheet shook, trembling non-stop.

Inside the department, there were only her and the female doctor.

“Doctor…” Her voice shook terribly, her body icy cold, blood flowing backward, her heart seemed to have stopped beating, suddenly devoid of warmth, “Doctor… am I really pregnant?”

Her hands clutching the report and the doctor’s white coat as though holding onto a lifeline.

Her hat was pressed low, the mask covering half of her face.

The female doctor glanced at her and nodded: “Yes, you’re pregnant, five weeks.”

That single “yes” made Joan Harry’s heart plunge into an abyss, and her vision suddenly spun, she nearly lost control of herself.

Her hands and feet turned icy cold.

Her mind instantly whirl, her vision only saw the doctor’s white coat swaying, her hands still clutching the doctor tightly, knuckles pallid, eyes filled with even more terrified expressions.

So cold, chilled to the bone.

“Doctor… is it true?” Joan Harry couldn’t believe it, inquiring further.

The female doctor adjusted her glasses, turned and stared at her face for a moment, nodded earnestly and solemnly: “It’s true.”

She had seen many pregnant women, and nine out of ten with expressions like Joan Harry’s didn’t want the child.

The female doctor glanced down at Joan Harry’s medical record: “24 years old? Working?”

“Yes…” Joan Harry hadn’t yet recovered from the panic, her pupils unfocused, her eyes showing a blank expression.

Fear and anxiety spread throughout her body, leaving her feeling as if she were in a frozen prison.

Five weeks.

These days, she had constantly felt that her body was unusual.

She had never been one to sleep in, but lately, she was incredibly lethargic in the morning, refusing to get out of bed.

This morning, she even vomited up her breakfast.

Afraid to consider the possibility of pregnancy, but she still snuck to the hospital.

Unexpectedly, she was indeed pregnant.

Her shoulders were trembling.

“You’re quite healthy overall, just a bit anemic, a little attention there should be enough.” The female doctor remained neutral, saying nothing further.

However, Joan Harry’s complexion was terrible, extremely poor.

How could this happen, how could she be pregnant.

Which time was it?

She couldn’t remember.

Anytime she didn’t have her period, Jesse Rowan would want her, occasionally once, or several times a day.

Nine times out of ten he would use protection, but sometimes he got too excited and didn’t take precautions, and she forgot about it afterward.

She truly could not recall.

Joan Harry lowered her head, retracting one hand as she pinched the palm of her other hand.

How could she be so careless, so reckless.
