Chapter 248: Under the Sea

Chapter 248: Under the Sea

"Kai!" Cornelia tried to catch him before he went overboard, but wasn’t able to reach him in time.

"I thought this ship had defenses!"

Sasha shrugged. "Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn’t. It’s bipolar. Anyway, he’ll be fine. We need to focus on everything out there." She pointed to the many ships that were being destroyed and the people fighting against the leviathan.

"Why would we go out there?" Nadya asked

"Why? Because everything out there is literally money! Look at all the valuables sinking into the sea! It’s a waste of their worth!"

Kyana rolled her eyes. "Dwarves. All they care about is drinking, smashing things with hammers, and money."

"Hey! I heard that!" Sasha grumbled.

"Good."

"While you two are arguing, it seems like the captain of that ship is coming at us after resurfacing." Gwen pointed to the pirate running on the water.

"I’LL FUCKING KILL ALL OF YOU!" He shouted.

"Let’s make this quick. I want to get out of here as soon as possible." Kyana notched an arrow, preparing to fire.

Beneath the water, Kai was getting tossed and turned by the Leviathan’s tentacle, slamming into rocks and the sea floor.

’Argh! Get off me! Tentacle play is only for hentai girls!’ He broke out of the Leviathan’s grasp, then grabbed its tentacle and spun the creature around, dragging it into the water and slamming it into the sea wall.

The Leviathan looked pissed, but then again, Kai couldn’t tell what expression the monster had since it had a lot of muscles in their face. The leviathan could simply be blinking, and its face would look as if it wanted to kill something.

"Get that expression off your face, you bitch! You’re the one who attacked me first!"

Apparently, the Leviathan didn’t like how Kai spoke to him because he was blasted out of the water.

"You’re coming with me!" He dragged the leviathan out of the water using telekinesis, and what the pirates and navy saw was two beings, Kai and the leviathan, flying out of the water like fish.

"W-What the hell?"

"Is that the Leviathan?"

"Who’s that guy?"

"What a crazy bastard."

Kai slammed into the monster, flying higher into the air.

"Don’t think that you’ll fuck with me and get away with it!" Flames erupted from his hands, blasting the monster in the chest.

The leviathan screeched in pain, ringing the ears of everyone down below. It charged a concentrated beam of mana, then wrapped Kai with its tentacles.

It looked as if the leviathan smirked as it prepared to kill Kai with its breath attack.

"The fuck is so funny?!" Just as the Leviathan blasted Kai, he fired back with a blast of mana from his own mouth.

The Leviathan’s beam was way larger than Kai’s own, but Kai was more powerful, so his own tore through the Leviathan’s beam and blasted it in the face.

"Ha! Fucking loser!" Once again, he broke out of the monster’s grasp and grabbed its tentacles.

"Gwen! Follow behind us! Ship, submarine mode!" Kai threw the leviathan back into the water and dragged it down to the sea floor.

"Come on, guys, let’s go!" Gwen crushed the neck of the pirate captain and threw him overboard, and prepared to follow Kai.

The ship transformed into a submarine, and Cornelia took the helm, following Kai as the vessel sank into the water.

"What the hell is this?!" Cornelia had no idea how the ship transformed or what a submarine was, but all she knew was that she needed to follow Kai.

Gwen looked around at the others to see if they had an answer. But judging by their reactions, she assumed they didn’t. "I don’t know! I’ve never seen anything like this before!"

"What did he call this thing? A submarine? This craftsmanship is better than the dwarves!" Sasha exclaimed.

"Now’s not the time to be gawking at how amazing this ship is! Cornelia to the left! To the left!" Kyana braced as they nearly ran into the sea wall as they tried to follow Kai.

Turning around, Kai saw them struggling to keep up, so he threw the Leviathan’s tentacles backward, forcing them to wrap around the submarine, then took off even faster, reaching the sea floor in a short amount of time.

"No, you beast, teleport back to where you came from!" He smirked, holding the leviathan down.

"ROAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!"

"I didn’t ask for the attitude!" He slammed the monster into the ground, then started to shock it with lightning magic.

"Teleport now! Or I’ll fry you alive!"

The Leviathan could feel Kai’s bloodlust. It knew it was weaker than him, so, wanting to survive, it teleported back to its home.

"Ahhhh! What the hell?!"

The leviathan didn’t teleport, but jumped through some sort of gateway. A multitude of colors swarmed them as they fell through what felt like a hole. Kai was twisting, turning, and bumping into the colorful lights that encompassed him, the monster, and the submarine.

"Are we in a wormhole?!" He theorized.

"Wherever we are, I hope this leads to the lost city!" Kai let go of the Leviathan, then flew back toward his ship, teleporting inside.

"Kai!" All of them hugged him, happy that he was okay.

"What’s going on?" Nadya looked out of the window. "Are we in a rainbow?"

"I think it’s a wormhole."

All of them turned to him. "What’s a wormhole?"

"It’s when two points in space meet, creating a pathway between them. Think of it as a door that leads to a room, the door frame being the wormhole." He explained

"So we’re in a doorn frame right now?" Amaya asked

"Yeah, and we’re about to see what’s on the other side."

The colorful lights started spinning faster and faster until they eventually spun so fast that the color turned white. All of them felt a tugging sensation on their bodies, like they were being pulled into something.

Then, just as they sped up, they instantly slowed down, and the light vanished. Once everything calmed down, all of them looked outside through the windows and were left awestruck.

"No way!"

"Is this the place?"

"It’s beautiful."

"Amazing!"

"Wow!"

"I can’t believe we made it!"

Kai was the only one without an audible reaction, and there was a reason for that.

’This place!’ He looked up, seeing a dome, one he recognized. ’This is the city I found on the Open Ocean floor!’
