Soon, Alius raised his hand, placed it on his chin, and spoke with a bit of laugh.
"Haha! Calm down. I will tell you what I know from the information I have been gathering during the last few hundred years. I first heard of their organization name during the year around 9400 EC (Easica Calender). It was the time I managed to stepped into second-tier mage and started to establish a small magic academy on my own."
"At that time, the Light Church's influence was much less in the south due to some internal struggles and our academy didn't have any enemies. With my strength, I somehow managed to create three new kingdoms and made the three family members as Royals. But after some time, I started to notice some people are gathering information about our past. Coincidentally, I once caught a person during my journey to search for a potion ingredient and found out he was casting an unknown type of magic."
"At that time, I didn't know anything about necromancy and started asking all the three family elders. But no one knew much because of their short of lifespan. The ones who knew about the necromancy knowledge had already died during the destruction of the Bidora Empire. So, I thought of researching on my own and soon stumbled upon a page of Novak's diary. Alas, I didn't even understand a single word at that time."
"After some time, I even asked many other friends from the north but couldn't able to find anything. When I was searching for clues about the past, I once bumped into a guy named Nezad and learned a little about the history of the Bidora Empire. But he didn't answer many of my questions. He told me that he would only give the answers after I promise him to join their organization. That son of a bitch also stole that single script of Novak's dairy, few artifacts, and escaped at the end of that meeting. Later only did I find out that he had already planned that meeting and made me lose some precious treasures." Alius said with a clenching fist. Everyone could tell Alius was angry when thinking about that meeting.
"Teacher, did you meet him again?" Ovia asked while folding her long black hair in curiosity.
"Yeah, that happened after I ranked up to third-tier mage. At that time, I also knew many other necromancers are hiding in the dark like Nezad and plotting something big. I think the big invasion happened around the year 9700 EC. At that time, a few third-tier necromancers led a large scale undead army and invaded the southern part of this continent, leading to countless massacres. I and the leader of the Rath institute allied together and faced that invasion."
"It was a tough battle. Countless warriors and even all second-tier mages lost their life. At that time, except Idus, all of you didn't even born yet. We were completely outnumbered and was about to lose hope. Thankfully, the Elven Kingdom and the Holy Church extended their arms and helped us. With their help, I personally killed Nezad and ended that undead invasion." Alius stopped for a second as he turned his head towards Abium's direction and continued.
"If not for this kid's information now, I would be still clueless about Nezad's revival."
'But how did Headmaster Alius know the Abyssal language?' Abium furrowed his brows and soon shook his head. He knew that if he asked too many questions, it would only incur more suspicions.
'Moreover, I still have many opportunities to ask about those in the future.' Abium muttered to himself and soon shifted his gaze toward everyone.
Meanwhile, everyone went silent after hearing Alius's explanation and started pondering.
"What are we going to do about the current situation? From the information, I think Nezad and others are planning to invade our territory for a reason, right? Teacher, do you remember anyone who attacked the royal castle around that time?" Tabitha continued to ask while leaning back against the wooden chair. She found it more and more interesting about the history behind the royal family and the necromancers' organization.
"Ugh, I don't remember clearly due to the long history," Alius said and soon shifted his gaze towards Idus before asking. "What about you, Idus?"
"Teacher, I think someone did infiltrate into the treasury but never came back. At that time, Mage Michael was the one who was responsible for protecting the Royal Family." Idus said solemnly.
"Michael, huh? It's been more than 450 years since he died." Alius shook his head and soon asked.
"Idus, whose idea is this Grand Nobles' Gathering?"
"Its Prince Huggin's idea, Teacher. He said that he wanted to talk to all those high-class nobles and end the conflict between the royal family and the other two dukes." Idus said with a bitter smile.
"That kid is too naive." There was a trace of disappointment in Alius's voice.
Meanwhile, Abium suddenly felt something odd about Crown Prince's reckless idea.
'From what I know, Crown Prince is not a naive brat but somewhat clever one like Raollet. But why did he arrange this Gathering? What shocked me earlier was that Prince Huggin actually changed the date like the Fate Divinity Holder mentioned. Does that mean he is already under the influence of that hooded Fate Divinity Holder?' He creased his brows and felt that he was missing some crucial information. But soon, he shook that thought and started listening to Alius's speech.
"Okay, let's change our actual plan for the Gathering. Tabitha, Zivior, and Anne will be the ones responsible for protecting those mortals." Alius said and shifted his gaze towards Abium, and then continued,
"Kid, you will be the one who monitors the enemy's group. Your mission is to go along with that second-tier necromancer and find out their original goal. Even if they somehow managed to fool that guardian's eyes and entered into treasury, stay close to them and never reveal your identity. Don't worry; Ubius will come after you once you entered the royal treasury."
"What about Idus and others?" Ubius asked with a frown as he noticed others were left out.
"They have to accompany me. If the enemy leader is a third-tier necromancer, then he will definitely come after me to stop me from interfering with their plan. I might need other's help." Alius said grimly, which made everyone realize that their Teacher's condition was not good. Although they were curious about his health condition, their minds were preoccupied with a different thought.
