Chapter 53: Bone Creatures

Chapter 53: Chapter 53: Bone Creatures

" Let me go Freya, let me kill this ugly beast" A man with a long grey dirty beard was being held back by a beautiful woman with blonde hair and long pointy ears from throwing a gold spear at a tiny pond.

" Calm your anger my king, he’s merely a child who doesn’t even know you truly exist." The man calmed down and looked up. From the clouds descended a giant bolt of lightning that hit the ground faster than light.

" Welcome home my child, how goes the situation on the front lines." " Greetings Allfather" replied a giant man with toned muscles carrying a giant hammer.

" The situation is not looking good, their numbers are increasing, I’m afraid..." " I know child, Ragnarok is on the horizon, it will not be long now."

The old man’s spear turned into a wooden stick. "Grow faster child without fate, the world is running out of time." he whispered while looking at the small pond, through it one can see a tiny drake. Similar conversation were happening across the divine realm as each pantheon prepared for the final war.

-----------------------------------------------------------

When Ved opened his eyes he found himself at the edge of the mountain range. The hippo and frog were next to him and around them were thousands upon thousands of beasts.

Spiritual beasts stood together and demonic beasts were all over the place. At first he thought they were going to fight each other then he saw a space rift in the distance.

When he saw this widening space rift he felt an overwhelming sense of disgust and hate rise inside him as if whatever lurked behind the dark rift was his greatest enemy.

’ Oh my, it seems the war is still going on. To think this old man can still have the chance to reenact the glory of my ancestors, what an honour.’ The old frog stood upright and his aura rose. Some of the beasts especially the powerful ones like the deer turned to look at him.

However he wasn’t about to involve himself in things he didn’t understand, just as he was about to turn and run, the space rift shattered like glass.

Thousands upon thousands of creatures covered in white bones some made from bones poured out. Amongst them there were also those with grey bones who gave a more dangerous aura.

Most were rank 1 and 2 but there were still dozens if not hundreds of rank 3 creatures. The moment they appeared the feeling of disgust grew.

But he felt something else, desire, his body told him there was something inside these creature that would be greatly beneficial to him.

He was really torn, whether to fight or run? He couldn’t make up his mind but before he could come to a decision the fight had already started.

The demonic beasts were the first to attack, they lunged at the white bone creatures like an avalanche. Ved sighed, deep down he knew he had to kill these things.

Something deep inside him told him they were a virus to the whole world and if not eliminated they might lead to the end of everything.

He lunged alongside the others, his giant body rammed the creatures front line like a bulldozer sending bone fragments flying like bullets. He slapped out and sent a giant shockwave that cleared everything dozens of metres before him.

A two metres large creature with weirdly bent hind legs attacked him from the side, it binded his arm with the two bone tentacles on it back and tried to bite him with it wolf skull like face.

However this was merely a rank 2, nowhere near enough to hurt him. He ripped the tentacles off and backhanded it shattering it skull.

He heard a sound of shattering bones and when he turned to look he saw hundreds of these things shattering like glass whenever a wave passed through them.

The hippo’s attack seemed to be even more effective than him. Every second that passed dozens to hundreds of them died. Another impressive one was the deer.

It appeared to have evolved to rank 4 since the last time he saw it and it had grown much more powerful. It ran around the battlefield and everywhere it passed grass and vines grew.

The grass turned into sharp blades and cut the bone creatures apart while the vines binded and crushed them. Then there was the old frog wich had proven to be the most powerful.

Even ved didn’t fully understand his power even when looking at him. The old frog took a step and the ground seemed to shrink below it, wherever it passed space bent and everything around it was turned to dust. These three were the only rank 4 around.

However the fight was not as easy for everybody else, the golden eagle who was a subordinate of the deer was entangled with a rank 3 grey bone winged rat.

The rat was not any weaker than the eagle and infact it body appeared to be stronger and the eagle was losing. Ved decided to help it but just before he could attack the rat he was forced to jumped back and dodge.

Something landed where he was, the stone shattered picking up a cloud of dust. When the dust cleared what appeared was a feline creature covered in white bone armour.

It had three long bone whip tails on it back. The creature gave him the same feeling as a rank 3 beast with an earth grade bloodline so he was not worried about it.

He activated herculean strength and flash, his stamina dropped then his body flickered and disappeared. He appeared infront of the bone cat faster than an eye can blink and slapped it across the face.

A shockwave blasted out and killed everything around them. The cat was sent flying like a missile, Ved was certain that attack killed it.

Just as he turned around the cat stood up, the bone armour on it face was cracked and pieces of it were falling off, through the wound a black acidic blood dripped to the ground and burnt through stone.

Ved frowned, he knew how powerful his body is, in terms of body strength alone he was stronger than any rank 3 he had ever met, not to mention when using his will as well.

For this thing to survive his attack with such a small wound, it bone armour must be incredibly strong. Then he turned his attention towards the grey ones, they gave him the same feeling as those with sky grade bloodlines which meant they were even stronger than this one.

He knew he needed to end his quickly and go help the others, just as he was about to attack he heard a familiar excited squirk. He looked up and from the sky descended a car sized stone hammer with lighting flickering over it, behind the hammer was a tiny white figure with an overly excited look on her face grinning at him.

Ved grinned back.
