Chapter 546 Persuasion

A smile bloomed on my face when I heard his words. "Perhaps you're right, but... my stance remains the same..."

"If you're willing to follow me, I can resolve the injuries you have, and even help you advance further," I said. "From now on, you will fight only for yourselves!"

"If you're unwilling, that's fine too. We don't have to be friends, but we absolutely cannot be enemies," I said with a smile. "If you decide to lay a hand on anyone close to me, I will not hesitate to eliminate you!"

"Do you think you're still in a position to say such things?" Number Two looked at me.

I chuckled, stood up, and brushed the dirt off myself. "I've said all I have to say!"

Seeing me stand up, Number Two's pupils constricted. "How is this possible? After being poisoned for so long, you should be completely devoid of strength by now..."

"That's only true for ordinary people. It has no effect on me," I said slowly. "Consider my words carefully..."

Number Two gritted his teeth, pulled out a dagger, and lunged at me.

Seeing him make a move, I didn't hesitate. I grabbed his wrist in return and, with a slight exertion of force, threw him to the ground. The dagger was also taken from him.

"By the way, I'll tell you something..." I said, looking at Number Two. "Number Three has been following me all along. Number Five was beaten soundly by me, left battered and on the brink of death, but I spared his life. And he never managed to touch me!"

Number Two was stunned. "That's impossible! I know Number Five's strength very well!"

I smiled, toyed with the dagger for a moment, then casually threw it. The dagger instantly pierced through three trees as thick as a person's embrace, and then embedded itself into another tree trunk, disappearing from sight.

Having done this, I left without looking back.

Number Two stood in the distance, unable to recover for a long time. What I had just done, though it appeared simple, was far from it. It required more than just brute strength. Based on my understanding of them, even if their strength were amplified fivefold, they would never achieve what I had just accomplished.

Keeping these individuals around could very well be a dangerous proposition for me. It wasn't a danger to myself, but a significant risk to my entire camp, to the people under my command. However, I honestly found myself wanting to keep them by my side. I could sense they had much more potential to be unlocked, and if they could be utilized by me, it would be like adding wings to a tiger.

I also needed to consider other aspects. For instance, how to help them detoxify, how to help them improve their strength... These were all things that required exploration.

Regardless, one thing was certain: Number Three could be won over...

Seeing me return, Lin Chun rushed forward. "Lu Ge, are you alright?"

"Don't worry, I'm perfectly fine..." I said with a smile, then turned my gaze towards Number Three, who was diligently trying to deal with the venison. "The person I met was Number Two..."

"Oh, oh..." Number Three nodded. "Why didn't he come? I have plenty of venison, I could share some with him..."

"I've already shared," I said with a smile. "Let's rest here for a bit, then we'll head to the other side..."

I clearly remembered that only three ships had come in our direction previously. Now, Number Three, Number Five, and Number Two had all been accounted for. Only Number Four and Number One remained. I wasn't sure about their strength, but I would have to meet them eventually.

Furthermore, something had been confirmed: using Vishi's method to create these individuals did not affect their intellect or other cognitive abilities. The reason Number Three was the way he was wasn't due to Vishi; otherwise, Number Two and Number Five should have been the same.

"They don't want to come with us?" Number Three asked.

"They have their own matters to attend to..." I said with a smile. "Let's go, we'll check out another area!"

"Okay!" Number Three nodded.

A few more days passed, and we had already moved to another location. Counting the time, it had been nearly half a month since we set out. I had no idea how things were going back at the camp. In a place like this, without a phone or any radio communication, there was no way to get timely updates.

However, based on the current situation, the greatest threat undoubtedly came from these five individuals. Three had been found so far. Although only one was willing to follow us, I believed the other two wouldn't dare make any rash moves. This would significantly reduce the danger to the camp.

The next step was to find the remaining two. Whether they would be willing to cooperate with me would depend on the circumstances...
