Chapter 98: Sleep Over night
Andria’s POV
"What about what we were discussing concerning Mel suddenly joining us in class today, before Miss Linda came in?" I asked, twisting my hair in my hands.
"Well, it’s not much of a story other than she refused the idea of them embarking on a violent protest to free Tracy, and they decided that she can’t sit close to them since she didn’t seem like she was for them," Liara explained, raising her eyebrow.
"So what now? You spit our plan to her?" I asked her with a wide eye, confused as to why she answered me nonchalantly if this wasn’t a serious issue.
"Calm down, Ari, it’s not such a big deal. Besides, I made sure not to tell her, but even if I did, you actually came up with another plan, so that covers it," Liara replied calmly, and I didn’t bother to push any further.
"The fume in the chemistry lab could have been a good opportunity for them to carry out the protest plan, but somehow, most of us started to realize that it wasn’t a good Idea, that in fact, we never even wanted to support Tracy.
Something about that fume brought us to our senses," Michela chipped in.
The plan actually worked, I mentally screamed in excitement, before even thinking of what to say to Michaela.
Was it even okay to tell her that she was under a vampire-compelling spell that Tracy had cast on them for her to win the election?
But some things are better left unsaid.
Liara winked at me, and Becca smiled. The day was already getting dark, so we figured it was time to head back to our dorms.
"I’ll be leaving now. Tomorrow we will take our campaign even more seriously since the election is next week and the week has almost run out," I said, moving towards the door.
"Get well soon, Becca. Sorry for causing your current predicament. I really didn’t know it would be this bad."
"It was all for the best, besides I feel so much better, I might be discharged by tomorrow. I’ve got Arlo here with me," she said placing her hands on Arlo’s.
Arlo looked lost in thought. Since Becca was taken to the sick bay Arlo hasn’t been himself, I haven’t seen him so serious about anything like he is now.
I admired their mate bond.
"Ari, you never got back to me concerning my proposal for you to move in with me," Liara said, pouting her lips.
"Yeah Ari this proposal is long overdue," Becca asked with a bewildered expression. "What’s keeping you from going Ari?, her place is so beautiful, If I were in your shoes I’ll be at her place without a send thought."
They both chuckled and it left me wondering what was funny about Becca’s statement.
"Maybe that’s why I’m not you, meanwhile I can see you are really getting better now enough to speak well, I’m so happy for you," I said, meeting Becca’s gaze with a smile.
Then I turned to Liara, "Lia, was that why you are suddenly mingling with another she-wolf?, Do you aim to replace me if I don’t comply?" I chuckled.
"No...In fact yes, I aim to replace you, the moment you say no," Liara said, snapping her fingers dramatically.
"Ouch, that hurts," I drawled sarcastically, massaging my chest in an exaggerated manner.
"Ari," Liara screamed my name and we both burst out laughing including Becca.
"Arlo, what’s wrong? You don’t look so Good," I said, walking closer to Arlo. And as if my words brought him back to the room, he looked up me with a startled expression.
"I was wondering how miserable I would have been If Becca had left my side," Arlo blurted out and burst out in tears.
"It’s ok, I’m right here," Becca said, rubbing his hands that were still in her hands.
"She is good, look at her," Michaela added.
And since when did Michaela start chipping into a conversation she wasn’t called into, she is fast clainming her spot as our friend, I think I would learn to love her.
Arlo wiped his tears and a smile tugged at his lips.
"Yes, more like it. You should be happy, we are trying to lighten up the mood here before we leave," Liara said, "And Aria you would come with me, won’t you?"
"L..I..A," I stretched her name, hoping she gets the memo, but she only popped her eyes more that she resembled a cute puppy.
"Please, we would have a sleep over night with my new friend Michaela," she persuaded.
"You three are going to have a sleep over night without me and you didn’t even have the decency to discuss it outside my sick room," Becca grumbled, a slight frown grazing her forehead.
"When you get better I promise to organize another sleep over," Liara announced, and Becca nodded in agreement, a smile escaping her lips.
"Well I agree to have a sleep over night with you and Michaela only if we get to study all through the night," I spoke up and I watched Liara’s excitement fade.
"Ari, why are you such a kill joy," Liara exclaimed, frustration written all over her face. If she could beat me up, she would for spoiling a beautiful night plan she already had in mind.
"Well that’s my condition," I stated firmly, not bothering to look at her face because I was sure she was about to give me the puppy eyes.
"Ok, we will read through out the night," Liara agreed.
"Then that seals it," I said extending my hands to her for a handshake and she reluctantly took it.
"You three have a lovely study sleep over night," Becca scoffed and Arlo burst out laughing. It was so good to see him laugh again.
We walked out of room 47 after saying our goodbyes.
"I’m sure your friend is much better now," A voice called out from behind me and turned around just to stand face to face with the beautiful elderly woman from earlier today.
