Chapter 446: Phantom of the Seal

Chapter 446: Phantom of the Seal

"Greninja, Spiral Aura Sphere!" John called out as he threw the Pokeball.

Greninja burst from the Pokeball in a flash of light, gathering pale blue energy in its hands. Its gaze locked onto the massive seal stone as it immediately launched its attack!

The aura power quickly condensed and compressed from light blue to deep azure, the spiraling Aura Sphere descending from above to bombard the black seal stone.

Sizzle...

The massive black seal stone proved remarkably resilient even after thousands of years. In John’s original plan, this attack should have shattered it completely. Instead, it was like watching a grinding wheel at full power, slowly wearing away at the stone’s surface.

When the Spiral Aura Sphere finally dissipated against the seal stone, the actual results surprised John again. Far from creating a huge hole in the massive stone, the attack had merely left a white scratch mark.

The effect was pathetic.

"Try Fire-type, Electric-type, and Rock-type Pokemon," Damian suggested.

John pulled out three more Pokeballs, releasing Blaziken, Zeraora, and Tyranitar onto the battlefield.

"Blaze Kick!"

"Plasma Fists!"

"Rock Slide!"

Blaziken sprinted forward at high speed, leaping several meters from the seal stone before delivering a devastating aerial kick combined with Force Palm technique.

Lightning condensed around Zeraora’s fists as it bounded high, delivering a thunderous aerial punch!

Smashing through darkness with pure electricity!

"TYRANITAR!"

Tyranitar bellowed with arms spread wide, using its power to manipulate rock from within to destroy the seal stone from the inside.

Three forces, two external, one internal, worked in perfect coordination.

The surface of the massive pitch-black seal stone finally began showing cracks!

It was hard to imagine just how incredibly durable this seal stone had been thousands of years ago. The stone itself was probably a rare treasure.

"Again!" John commanded. "Greninja, you too!"

The four Pokemon attacked in unison, maintaining their relentless assault.

A minute later, the massive seal stone finally shattered under Greninja’s final Spiral Aura Sphere.

The moment the seal stone crumbled, pure Ghost-type energy erupted like a fountain, raining down from above into the cave like spectral droplets.

"This pure Ghost-type energy might actually benefit Pokemon if they could absorb it," John mused, watching the dark energy fill the sky.

"Be careful, something’s coming out!" Damian warned John and Harrison in a low voice.

Suddenly, two golden orbs rose from the black fountain of energy.

The fountain twisted and writhed through the air, taking various shapes before finally forming into a serpentine dragon approximately 20 meters long, the two golden orbs serving as its eyes!

"R-Rayquaza?!"

All three trainers stared in unison, eyes wide with shock.

"AHHH!" Harrison screamed like he’d seen a ghost. "I’m done for! I’m only in my early thirties and I’m already having hallucinations, I’m actually seeing Rayquaza here!"

Damian frowned deeply. It wasn’t just him seeing it, Harrison saw it too, which meant this wasn’t an optical illusion. "Impossible! The last recorded Rayquaza sighting was three years ago. This seal stone has existed for over two thousand years, and there’s only one Rayquaza in the world."

"Could it be Rayquaza’s offspring?" Harrison suggested weakly.

For legendary Pokemon, especially Rayquaza, which ranked among the most powerful even among legendaries, human understanding was still far too limited. Damian honestly didn’t know if such a thing was possible.

"Maybe..."

"No! This is just an illusion," John’s voice cut through their speculation, completely certain.

Damian and Harrison couldn’t help but stare at him.

"Leave this to me, I’ll capture it." Without explaining further, John stepped forward, positioning himself in front of the other two.

He recalled Greninja, Blaziken, and Zeraora to their Pokeballs, leaving only Tyranitar on the battlefield.

"Tyranitar, Snarl!" John commanded, simultaneously revealing the Key Stone on his wrist.

Multicolored light connected John and Tyranitar to each other.

When the rainbow light surrounding Tyranitar collapsed, it had completed its MEGA evolution.

ROAAAAAR!

Mega Tyranitar, now even more massive and ferocious-looking, spread its arms and bellowed, the grimacing pattern on its chest appearing even more menacing!

Gray Dark-type energy spread outward like sound waves from Mega Tyranitar’s roar.

The ’Rayquaza’ writhed its massive body in the air, then suddenly blazed with light, transforming into a brilliant, dazzling arrow that pierced through the gray sound waves, shooting directly at Mega Tyranitar.

If John wasn’t mistaken, this should be Rayquaza’s signature move, Dragon Ascent!

"Pretty convincing," John commented without a trace of fear, pulling a Dark-type Z-Crystal from his pocket and pressing it onto his Z-Ring.

"Tyranitar, Z-Move: Black Hole Eclipse!"

ROOOOOAAR!

Gray energy emanated from John’s body and merged with Mega Tyranitar, its roar shaking the entire cave.

Within its maw, the gray energy condensed into deep darkness, and a massive black hole appeared in the blink of an eye, attempting to suck everything around it into its depths!

After launching Dragon Ascent, the ’Rayquaza’ had no time to brake and was pulled by the black hole’s power, plunging directly into the void.

BOOM!

An explosion immediately followed.

Both ’Rayquaza’ and Mega Tyranitar were blown backward.

Mega Tyranitar leaned forward and dug its sharp claws into the black ground to brake, slowing its backward momentum. Meanwhile, ’Rayquaza’ slammed directly into the cave wall, its twenty-meter dragon body dissolving like smoke.

In its place stood a two-meter-tall, upright-walking fox. Its body was snow-white with hair tips as bright red as blood.

The only unchanged feature was its golden, majestic, and noble eyes.

Faint air currents swirled around its body’s surface, clearly not an ordinary specimen!

"Just as I suspected," John said with a slight smile. "I guessed correctly."

He recognized the Pokemon before him. This was Zoroark in its Hisuian Region form. Like ordinary Zoroark, it possessed the ability to create illusions, but its typing was completely different. Rather than pure Dark-type, Hisui Zoroark was uniquely Normal/Ghost-type, making Dark-type moves its only weakness.

"Perfect timing. I was just thinking I needed a Zoroark, and here you are!"
