ALL NOVELS' LIST | Chapter List: The Last Commander of the Red Alert XXX-----XXX-----XXX-----XXX Some astute individuals, based on the prec
Some astute individuals, based on the preceding events, had already guessed what this truth was.
Yes, they were all dead!
Their current bodies were merely being manipulated by some unknown entity, making them believe they were still alive!
Most importantly, the organization mentioned in the novel is called the "Star Exploration Hall"!
And in this world of theirs, there is also a "Star Exploration Hall." This revelation sparked widespread discussions among many people. Some of them began to feel that the story in the novel was eerily similar to their reality. Could this be the truth of their world?
Were they all a group of deceased individuals?
The book was not yet completed, but this information was enough to fuel endless debates. What was even more astonishing was that the author of this book was none other than a member of the Star Exploration Hall!
At the end of the latest chapter of this book, a few lines were written.
"The story of this book is based on real events."This statement set the internet ablaze, with everyone discussing the events from the novel. The deeper they delved, the more they felt that this world had many strange aspects.
Suddenly, some people began to experience a jumbling of their memories. They felt that there was someone else in their memories, someone who was different from the person they saw now!
This phenomenon was widespread, and initially, those affected only shared their experiences on the internet. Gradually, many others realized that they too were facing the same situation.
It wasn't until one post reached the top: "I am the daughter of a wealthy family. My father has always been good to me. However, after reading 'The Truth of the World,' I suddenly realized that there is another father in my memories, and that father is completely different from the one in my family! I was initially terrified, but then I remembered the plot in the novel. If someone violates the rules set by this unknown entity in the world, they will be abandoned by the world, and another person will replace the one who disappears!"
"That person is not my father; my father has already disappeared!"
"Can someone tell me what I should do?"
Many people below shared their reactions, experiencing the same confusion in their memories.
After this book appeared, the entire world was in chaos.
People who had their existence erased were not limited to the Ninth Star alone; many others were wiped out as well due to various rule violations, and a completely new person took their place.
This resulted in many people experiencing memory confusion.
Imagine having parents right in front of you, but your memories tell you that your parents don't look like this. Isn't that terrifying?
In the Star Exploration Hall, an elder looked at Yun Ru with a complex expression and asked, "Can this really draw it out?"
"Although I fabricated this story, it shouldn't be too different from reality. Do you think, under normal circumstances, there would be any power that could make all of you appear to be living again in this manner?" Yun Ru countered.
The elder was also a scientist, and he couldn't possibly believe in such bizarre powers unless it was under deliberate control.
"Are you hoping to force it to reveal itself this way?" he inquired.
"While this world possesses a self-correcting power, when there are too many glitches around, the corrections can't keep up. Look," Yun Ru pointed to a place, which happened to be a city. Chaos reigned in the city as people screamed and ran through the streets. Some were urgently calling out to those in front of them.
Finally, with a sharp crack, the sky shattered. The entire world plunged into darkness, a pitch-blackness where one couldn't even see their own hand in front of their face, and all surrounding sounds disappeared.
No one knew how long it lasted, but then a bright light appeared, and everyone instinctively looked up at it.
Strangely enough, even though Yun Ru and the others were inside a mountain, they could still see that bright light when they looked up.
"Why do you want to know the truth when the truth is so cruel?" a very gentle female voice resonated in everyone's ears.
The elder raised his head and shouted loudly, "Is it you who brought us back to life? Who are you? We've been dead for a long time. Dead people shouldn't continue to exist like this!"
The elder's voice reached everyone's ears as well, leaving them bewildered by what they heard.
We're dead?
What is this old man talking about? We're living perfectly fine!
But these people found that they couldn't utter a word.
In the entire world, only a few people could speak.
"Technically, I haven't resurrected you; I've merely placed a fragment of your consciousness in this realm between dream and reality. This way, you can still feel alive. I believe this is the best way for you. Why pursue the truth when you could have continued to live happily? Humans are inherently curious about the truth of everything."
This time, it wasn't the elder speaking, but Yun Ru.
"Outsider, you haven't violated the rules here, and I won't harm you. Those outsiders who did are already being punished. This place is the final refuge for these remnants of souls. I hope you won't disrupt their happiness."
"Happiness? Is it defined by you or by them?" Yun Ru chuckled softly.
"If living after death means dwelling in a fabricated world, who would consider that happiness? If you truly believed they were happy, why do you constantly use your power to correct the errors in this world? Because you know very well that this world offers no real happiness!"
"I don't know why you created such a world in the first place. Among us humans, there's a saying: 'No profit, no early rising.' If it's not for gain, would you be willing to waste so much time and power constructing such an immense world?"
"Let's dispense with beating around the bush. Reveal your true form, and let's have a face-to-face conversation!"
