104- Flow of Time (1)

The moment the planet arrived at the Seventy Year of the Father God Calendar, the civilization became open to the information that was previously difficult to get.

Even the Qin Empire in the Heavensend Continent followed the global trend and also connected to the internet. That meant that the civilization was connected even deeper in terms of social patterns and also behavior, all of which changed with the internet.

Dian felt that the internet actually kind of resembled the vast Planet Master System, but without its complete function.

I see. There is some resemblance but the technology needed for the Planet Master System surpassed even the Ninth Rank in the Technology Tree.

Seeing the change on the surface and the numerous satellites orbiting around the planet, Dian was sure that the development speed of the civilization had reached its peak.

It meant that numerous discoveries or successful reverse-engineered items would be ready for commercialization if the military did not already possess something far better.

He knew for a fact that communication became easier for the people but it was excluding the Elves, the Undead and the Glings. It felt like two different worlds just by looking at the difference and that caused Dian to ponder.

“Should we let them follow through the step of the ruling civilization or just let them be?” Dian considered that but then realized that he was basically forcing them to suit his will.

“No, they have their own opportunity to develop. Just like the human and the dwarf who only used the Scientific Inheritance as a reference, I too should do the same. That’s something they would do if they were in my position.” Dian shook his head and rejected the notion.

He let the other races develop on their own. As long as they saw the development of the humans and the dwarves, they would be spurred into action and develop their own related Transcendent ability.

Additionally, the Ether caused the bodies of living beings to be rejuvenated and increased their lifespan drastically. It meant that the humans and dwarves that usually could live to their sixty now could live to two hundred just because they had the transcendent energy inside their bodies, extending the endpoint of the chromosomes without any side effects whatsoever.

Some scientists started to notice this and conducted several tests and discovered this fact. But they also worried about the condition of the wilderness since the transformation to civilization was this huge.

If it caused a drastic change to the civilization, it would surely cause a drastic change to the living beings in the wilderness too.

Now, they needed to send more people if they wanted to cross to the wilderness due to its increasing danger. They even hired some transcendents to escort them when they entered the wilderness to ensure safety.

Other than that, the harvest from foraging in the wilderness increased and caused some foraging rushes to the wilderness to gain access to the precious resources that had appeared.

Of course, there were some casualties during the rush but it did not hamper the enthusiasm from fading and increased it instead. Some who got the resources became stronger than before and that enticed the people further to search for precious resources that could be found in the wilderness.

Even the Elves and the Glings joined in the rush as the wilderness of the Heavensend Continent was the biggest on the globe.

Starting from that year, the hunt for resources commenced and spread to the entire civilization on the surface. But that also meant that they had to encounter the Sovereign Beast and the Nymph Thearch for the first time and caused additional casualties before declaring the territory of those strong entities a forbidden zone and spreading it not only to limited people but to the entire civilization, causing everyone to know about it on the internet.

That caused some people who were hidden to surface one by one, claiming that they knew about this but did not disclose it to the masses.

Of course, it was soon overwhelmed by the data of the resources gathered in the wilderness and they created an encyclopedia about it, a compilation of the precious resources they had gathered so far.

With that, even those with access to the internet could see various kinds of resources that could affect them in return. Even the method of processing the resources was written so that the efficacy of the resources was worth the effort.

This was done without taking an additional fee from the people so that they could recognize the resources and perhaps those people would be able to get one for themselves. But sadly, most of them were not going to be able to do that.

Furthermore, there was a registration for transcendent and so a census was done to record the number of people who had become transcendent. This was done with the agreement of every single government in the world, and the dawn of transcendent age began.

Now, everyone had to present their ID to be able to roam within the Safe Zone; otherwise, they would be taken to the education camp, where they would be inspected for their capabilities and assessed for potential threats.

This was done to prevent the potential destruction caused by transcendents since the case kept increasing each year. This was the solution to the problem. Since everyone could become a transcendent, then they needed to be watched over if they wanted a stable development.

That was why the security increased to make sure that everything would be fine and not spiral toward destruction.

“Other than that, there is one thing that we need to watch for.” Dian then summoned the others because the occasion called for it.

“Is it the time already?” Chikara was mumbling while looking at the screen panel.

“So you are wondering what happens when two Star Child connect with each other and observe them often?” Frie said while also looking at the event happening.

“That’s…isn’t that the thing when your race wants to form a more intimate relationship?” Ghylea asked with wonder but he knew the significance of the event.

“No wonder you called us here. You wanted to see what happens when they are connected through karma. Stronger reaction too from my side.” Leif said while understanding the issue.

Star Child was the mixture of the planet’s fortune and the civilization’s fate, forming a destiny seed infused into an individual. That was why they could change the direction of the development of the civilization as a whole.

They were also the game-changer during their existence and that was why Dian was looking forward to the change with the union of the two.

It was the day when everything changed for him. At least, that was what Tatsumi thought. He had returned to the Hinon Federation for an important occasion.

After a long time of knowing each other, he finally decided to take the step.

“Ah. My heart beat so fast that I could feel it pulsing through my head and legs.” Tatsumi murmured to himself as he felt the anticipation and could not help but feel that everything became a source of nervousness.

Even though he was entering his twenty-first year, Tatsumi still felt that he was not quite there in terms of being able to properly accommodate two people.

“But I have also grown some confidence since I can do some tasks for good payment if I just go to the wilderness. Other than that, I also invested in a new energy power plant for extra money. That should make my life easier, right?”

Tatsumi made sure that he could live by his own income since his strength grew steadily. He was a transcendent at the Ninth heavenstage of the Nothingness Realm with his body refined to the same height as his base power.

But that did not prevent him from getting nervous and perplexed. That was why there were others who accompanied him.

Those from the orphanage were there with him along with a familiar guest.

“You look fine, young man.” Miyamoto Mamoru said as his wrinkled face showed a smile.

“Thank you for the praise, sir.” Tatsumi smiled in return. After all, a smiling face should not be attacked and should be reciprocated.

“Although you are still shaking. You need to be more confident. How can you reassure those you care about if you are lacking in confidence?” Feng Mo said while looking at Tatsumi closer.

The young man she had watched from when he was just a baby had grown up to be able to accommodate two women in his life.

‘I am sure that he can handle it since this was all his idea. After all, in the past there were often men who had multiple women but it is not done in the present.’ Feng Mo thought while looking at Tatsumi’s face.

“I am preparing myself for this day. Everyone, please cheer me from this point onward, alright.” Tatsumi said as he looked at the ace of everyone from the orphanage.

“Brother, please treat them well.” Nene said while returning his gaze.

“I will.” Tatsumi said with his steel resolve.

“Don’t forget about us after this!” Chen Fei said.

Tatsumi rolled his eyes but he replied, “Of course not. You are all family to me. Something I need to take care and protect.”

“Congratulations on your wedding!” the loud voice of the rest of his family echoed out and Tatsumi finally relaxed a little.

“You all should go to your positions.” Tatsumi said while counting the time that was closing in. He could feel that the time was drawing closer and needed preparation.

“All right. But you need to be confident.” With that last encouragement, they finally left the room and let Tatsumi be with himself.

‘After all this time, this moment has arrived.’ Tatsumi thought.

‘Good for you. You have two beautiful wives for yourself.’ Kudungga teased.

‘You should imprint this moment into your memory. You have seen their attitude when realizing that they liked the same man, so please satisfy them.’ Goto added.

‘Take care of them like the most precious thing you have.’ Chi You mumbled but still let his comment come across him.

‘Yes.’

Tatsumi then got out of his designated room and went to the corridor where some people had gathered. One of them was actually Charlene’s parent and he was familiar with them.

“You are here.” They exclaimed as they soon saw his figure approaching.

“Ah, Father, Mother.” Tatsumi felt strange letting out that word since he was an orphan himself but this time, he had to.

“Please go to the main hall. There are enough seats and the procession will take place.” Tatsumi said. He was wearing something elegant for this moment but he felt slightly uncomfortable.

“We have seen our daughter and now we want to see you.” Both of them said while looking at him.

“What for? There is only me at this moment, and my family has gone to the main hall.” Tatsumi asked in confusion.

“We want to make sure that you are fine. There must be a storm inside your head even at this moment.”

Tatsumi went silent. What they said was correct. He still had a lot inside his mind which made things complicated. But he tried his best not to conceal things from those close to him.

“Just be yourself. Be the ones you are most comfortable with. Even with multiple wives, you should look composed at least.” Charlene’s Father said while laughing.

“Well, remember what he said.”

-

Without knowing that time had passed, Tatsumi was already at the forefront while looking at his brides.

Even from afar, he could see their small gestures and expressions. Both of them appeared and caused the guests to exclaim in excitement at seeing the two.

Both of them wore red robes and had their hair tied into a bun. Their hair color did not diminish the appearance of the two of them as they were accompanied by their family behind them.

Tatsumi was stunned by the display and could only stand tall in inaction. He was mesmerized by their appearance and could not help but drown in it.

His eyes glistened when he landed his gaze on their faces.

For the guests, however, two brides marrying one man was an uncommon sight so they waited with patience, waiting for the event to continue.

“The brides can go to the broom’s side.” A voice broke through the silence and allowed things to go uninterrupted.

Slowly but surely, the two walked closer and closer to Tatsumi while the people behind the two turned and took a seat that was prepared in advance.

The podium, on which he stood along with the official who was there to facilitate the event, was the center of attention.

Then the two were right before him, just within an arm’s reach. Tatsumi gulped as his eyes now focused on the two of them.

“You look good in those clothes.” Tatsumi whispered, which was heard.

“Well, this is actually something of the past. But I want to wear it since it suits the occasion and I got permission to wear.” Ame said while standing near him.

“This looks good on me. Thank you for introducing me to one.” Charlene said to Ame before facing him.

“What about this that you like?” she whispered.

“I like the colors but there is one pressing issue.” Tatsumi said at a fast pace.

“Ahem.” The official coughed to signal that the process needed to continue.

“Sorry, please continue.” Tatsumi put his hand behind his head as he ended the conversation and focused on the event.

“We have been in the presence of an unusual groom with two brides. Well, unusual for people in the current age, but in the past, it often happened. But we are here to witness the connection that maybe, perhaps, could bring the person involved to a greater height.

“Please stand alongside each other.”

Tatsumi stood in the middle while Charlene took his right side and Ame had to take his left. After seeing that, the official declared something important.

“We need the groom and brides to utter oaths that have to be remembered when considering things in their relationship.”

Tatsumi remembered that this was the most important part of the wedding ceremony.

The guests were also saying that they should be done with the oaths. Seeing that his family was looking his way with expectation, Tatsumi focused on getting things right.

“I utter oaths that connect me with my others who stood beside me. I will do my best to not only maintain but also create a relationship that can last as long as I can.” Tatsumi opened his mouth and said this.

It meant that not even death was going to stop him from having a connection with his beloved. But he could not guarantee that they would respond in kind.

‘I hope that when that happens, they can still feel my presence.’ Tatsumi thought with a bit of sorrow.

‘Don’t be sad on this joyous day.’ Chi You commented.

“I will also look for a way for me and my spouses to share our problems, our happiness, our sorrow, our circumstances. There will be no secret that will cause a problem in our relationship.

“I will take care of them to the best of my ability, financially, emotionally, physically and many more. Let this be the oath that will be carried away without hypocrisy!” Tatsumi said this out loud.

Then Charlene and Ame said something similar as they were the brides and needed some change in their oaths.

The official had a happy and satisfied look while nodding.

“After the mouthful of oaths, the groom may kiss the brides. Oh, which one will you choose first?”

Tatsumi felt that it was kind of a tease that was a bit dangerous. But if he went with what he thought, then there was a possibility that both brides had to kiss each other, too.

With a sigh, Tatsumi just went with the idea so that there would be no first and second. He loved both of them and did not want to slight them in the smallest way possible.

That was what he thought but surprisingly, it went smoothly and surprised even the official.

Basically, Tatsumi, Charlene and Ame went in and kissed each other at the same time, forming a triangle.

“Hmm…” Ame and Charlene covered their mouths while Tatsumi grinned.

“Whoa!” The stunt caused the guests to exclaim in surprise. They did not expect that to be pulled out.

“There are many things I want to say but it is not part of the oath. But let’s save it for later and let the guests enjoy the food and beverages.” Tatsumi said to everyone in a loud voice.

“For the guests, please enjoy yourself in the available foods and beverages. I can say that it will be to your satisfaction.” The official said before stepping down from the podium.

Dian and the other four watched the event and felt the change in the destiny seed that was inside the Star Child.

It felt like a rock that was thrown into the still pond, causing waves after waves to appear and affect the area. The change even affected the trajectory of the civilization going forward from this point in time.

“It is strengthened.” Dian watched the whole thing and could conclude that.

“The proximity between the Star Child is so close that it can change the potential future. If the waves are this big, I can already imagine the change to be big with them at the center of it.” Frie, who was analyzing the change, was surprised and anticipation welled up.

“It is rare for the Star Child to connect with each other at this rank but to think they can even cause a wave in the established fate means that their part of change will be just as great.” Leif said while looking at the bashful Tatsumi while Ame and Charlene beside him were content, grabbing his hands.
