While all of that was happening on the Cerulean Planet, Dian was looking at the system panel of the flora and fauna on his planet.
“They are starting to get used to the Ether in the atmosphere.” Dian commented as he saw the previous animal in observation grow slightly bigger and have more vitality. The same was happening to the plants on the planet.
Frie was currently the one who observed the Ether effect on the Cerulean Planet.
“Master, currently, the entire biome has experienced total internal transformation. Because of the Sacred Trees, the Ether in the air became more concentrated and it seeped into the sea and the ground.” She said to Dian.
“Total!?” Dian was surprised at the speed which the transformation occurred. He had not expected this to come fast.
“Correct. The Ether has permeated the entire surface of the Cerulean Planet and now it starts to go deeper, possibly reaching the core of the planet itself.” Frie explained further.
“Additionally…” Ghylea was the one who spoke next and he was delaying saying more for a surprise. Dian had expected Ghylea to do that since he assigned Ghylea to watch over the egg-shaped thing in the Undead Secret Realm.
“…the Planet Spirit has revealed itself!”
The four of them were surprised and then became elated.
“Yes! Finally, after all that hard work, this happened.” Dian said while sitting on his throne. He had his fist raised in the air due to the excitement.
Planet Spirit was the manifestation of the planet’s spirituality. It had the purest form of the planet’s life and its prosperity depended on it.
At this moment, the five moved to the Undead Secret Realm where the Planet Spirit resided.
“It has gained form!” Leif exclaimed.
In front of the five was a long-haired female humanoid. It had multiple limbs protruding from her back, while a small hammer was grabbed by one of her hands, while half of her face was actually just her skeletal bones, while the rest was the face of a human.
It had long ears just like the Elves and a bit of muscle on its body. She was the Planet Spirit and currently, her closed eyes were fluttering.
Then the moment she opened her eyes, a multicolored light came from her eyes and radiated through the Undead Secret Realm.
The Planet Spirit then received the memory of the planet up until the current moment. She felt five forms around her and realized that they were her master. Especially strong was the one in front of her.
Dian floated in front of her and decided to stay still. He felt that she started to recognize those around her.
After processing all the information she had received from the entire planet, the Planet Spirit widened her eyes and then formed a green robe that covered her body.
“Master!” the Planet Spirit kneeled in the air as she perceived five sources that indicated that she was created from their fragment of existence.
“No need for all that.” Dian said while helping the Planet Spirit to stand up. Despite floating in the space, they could still do things like sitting, kneeling and even lying down as if the ground existed below them.
“This is a rare occasion. What should I do?” Chikara asked while having ideas about how things went.
“Please identify the strongest being at the sea.” Frie then commanded the Planet Spirit to do something that any Planet Master could do.
“It is the Kleos who had a complete internal change due to the Ether entering the seawater. Most of them are still in the process of completing their change but this one already roams the sea for strengthening itself.” The Planet Spirit answered with a detail.
“Then about the overall situation of the Cerulean Planet?” Leif asked.
This was done so that they could ensure the Planet Spirit received proper information and was aware of the necessary details regarding her own planet.
“Currently, the planet is thriving with living beings and resources. The shielding atmosphere also works to sustain life on the planet. The Ether causes some trends in the atmosphere, and also seeps into the planet’s mantle. The transformation caused by the Ether is underway.” The Planet Spirit replied with important information.
“What about the civilization on the planet?” Ghylea asked.
“The three races are working as usual. The addition of the Gling and the Elves caused the dynamic in the Heavensend Continent to change. Currently, the continent is under a temporary peace due to the effects of post post-Star Battle and the races are in recovery progress.”
Dian had an idea and decided to ask the Planet Spirit about it.
“How many Star Child can the planet bear?” he asked this question because he wanted to have a gauge in how much the civilization’s fortune and the planet needed to bear a Star Child.
“The planet can hold three Star Child. With the increasing Ether, the diameter of a planet and the richness of resources, it is possible to increase the number.” The Planet Spirit replied.
“Thank you for entertaining us in a simple test of your grasp of knowledge.” Dian said while nodding his head.
“Hm.” The Planet Spirit was proud to be able to process and relay all the information needed by the Planet Master.
“Now you need to watch over the planet and tell us if you feel anything, no matter what!” Frie was giving the Planet Spirit a warning.
All of them knew that the fragment of existence they had was on the Planet Spirit so they were not reacting to her appearance.
“Yes!” The Planet Spirit saluted them respectfully.
“Now that the matter of the Planet Spirit is solved, let’s go see something that will get you interested.” Dian said while looking at one of the system panels that displayed something in the starry sky.
“Master, is it actually that?” The Planet Spirit could also sense what was happening around her.
Then the six of them shifted place and now appeared outside the atmosphere of the Cerulean Planet and in front of something.
In front of them was actually an asteroid that was detached from the large one that went to the violet sun. The detached one approached the Cerulean Planet at high speed.
“Ah, that can be a problem.” Chikara commented and thought about the ones that once landed on her planet.
“Depending on its size, it can either add a small amount of resources or cause a disaster to the surface of the planet.” Leif analyzed the size of the asteroid that was already being pulled by the gravity of the planet, slowly causing friction to the asteroid.
It became a meteor that came to smash into the surface. But Dian knew that it was actually a small matter. The size was only enough to raze a five-kilometer-diameter forest. Some observatory on the Cerulean Planet was already noticing the meteor and knew where it would land.
“But that asteroid carries some strange thing!” Frie frowned since she could feel something from the core of the asteroid.
“That’s something for us to determine, isn’t it?” Leif also looked at the asteroid that went into the planet.
Dian focused his gaze on the meteor that fell on his planet. The outer structure was clearly just some strong bedrock but the inside was something else.
What is it that causes such a change inside? As far as I know, this can be part of the Scientific Inheritance from a ruin somewhere. Dian thought along those lines.
There were two classifications regarding what someone or something left behind. If it was related to the Technological Tree, it was called Scientific Inheritance. It was a lost technology that the former Planet Master or something beyond the Universe Field had created but abandoned and was not used after a certain time.
If it was a Transcendent Tree-related, it was called Transcendent Heritage. It was the remnant of the internal world or universe of the higher transcendent rank that had disappeared or outright died. There were numerous treasures or resources stored there that could aid some transcendent to make a robust foundation, increase their strength, or reach a higher rank.
Both Scientific Inheritance and Transcendent Heritage were important points for any Planet Master to remember and use. It was what could change the way the civilization under the Planet Master in speed of development, or increase the knowledge they had in their Technology/Transcendent Tree.
“Are you saying that thing in its core is part of some Scientific Inheritance or Transcendent Heritage?” Chikara was visibly surprised while the Planet Spirit only looked at the meteor.
“I am not sure either.” Dian explained his current thought. It was true that something was definitely in the core of the asteroid but he could not determine what exactly it was.
Then the meteor created a crater after it hit the ground, causing a small earthquake, dust flying upward and the razed ground near the crater.
Then Dian was surprised to see something on his personal system panel. From the Message list, there was a new notification.
Message List? It must be from Tritis. But why did she send a message at this time? Dian sensed that the timing was no coincidence since it came at the same time as the asteroid.
The asteroid landed in the Comberth Continent in its wilderness area remaining which did not have any population.
[Tritis: I have sent you something that can help your Technology and Transcendent Tree. I know that you walked both and wished you luck. There are both Scientific Inheritance and Transcendent Heritage in my package. Please receive it at your leisure!]
Seeing the message, Dian realized that this was a kind of support that Tritis had promised. It was a bit heavy on Dian’s heart since these came out of nowhere but he realized that the threat of the Outer Being was always present and never zero.
Even if there were Ten Venerables to hold the frontline, there would be occasional slip-ups and that possibility was what made Dian have to prepare for any eventuality.
“Don’t worry, everyone. This is something that Tritis probably sent to us.” Dian finally decided to tell the other the truth.
“Wow, being sent resources from the Venerables. That sounds nice.” Chikara commented cheerfully without even thinking much.
“Those should be safe, right?” Ghylea asked for certainty.
“Should be?” Dian said, a bit uncertain. Even he did not know exactly the Scientific Inheritance and Transcendent Heritage that he had received.
“Well, we need someone to fetch them!” Leif said and everyone nodded. The Planet Spirit kept looking at the site of the meteorite and did not shift her gaze at all.
Dian had to inform someone else to retrieve the thing inside the meteorite and he did that to the relevant people who had witnessed the asteroid landing in the wilderness, to urge them to check. With the Nafs helping him, it became easier to send people after it.
“It’s done. We need to see what kind of things those are.” Dian said while the time on the Cerulean Planet passed.
The nearest place to the crash site was actually the Thebes Independence Kingdom so Rao sent the Transcendent Army to fetch the core of the asteroid to them. But the other powers also wanted to do some studying on that rock that fell from heaven.
Fortunately, the Transcendent Army was successful in securing the site first and then sent some scientists to probe the asteroid and its contents. But the other powers insisted that they also needed to participate.
Only after the delegation from Hinon Federation came to mediate did things calm down. Since they were under the same federation, they might as well do it together.
But as expected from the Scientific Inheritance and Transcendent Heritage sent from Tritis, it needed some time to decipher its content and its use.
Dian and the others then shifted to the Planet Spirit that they had brought. She suddenly went silent, and Dian realized that she was analyzing the Scientific Inheritance and the Transcendent Heritage for its value in the Technology and Transcendent Tree.
“Master, I am trying to analyze the value of the core of the asteroid that has fallen.” The Planet Spirit said before returning to her calm and unspoken self.
Dian then quickly saw the Technology Tree as well as the Transcendent Tree and realized that it was quickly progressing toward the higher end of their respective place.
For the Technology Tree, it had reached the higher end of the T2 segment and it quickly progressed due to multiple factors. Dian thought that the Hinon Federation sent the data to the Hinon Science Institute and Charlene was the one who caused it.
For the Transcendent Tree, it had also reached the higher end of the T1 segment. At least for both, it increased in a way that Dian did not expect.
Days passed in the Cerulean Planet and Dian could see the progress of the Technology Tree and Transcendent Tree increasing and even created a new entry for him to see. Although it was filled with question marks, it was there for Dian to see.
“Well, that’s progress.” Dian closed the system panel and closed his eyes for a moment. He needed to become stronger, yes, but getting help meant that he had bound himself for a favor.
Furthermore, the result of the help was big enough that it could change the civilizations as a whole. Dian did not know the extent of the change but it would soon occur and he needed to make sure that his Core Race was prepared for that.
Then he shifted his perspective to the depth of the sea, where the Planet Spirit had mentioned that the strongest Kleos was roaming in the sea. The civilization often called it Ceres Ocean so Dian treated it the same.
He let the humans name things since it would be better than him thinking for one and got rejected.
Dian looked at the magnificent figure of the Kleos who hunted its food. It could be said that this particular Kleos was the undisputed Sea Sovereign. There was no stronger being in the sea than it and Dian learned that the Kleos had used Ether to do some internal change.
Its organs were increasing in function as the longevity of the Kleos dramatically increased due to the rejuvenating effect of the Ether.
“The rest of the marine life has also transformed. The result is even something I would not expect. I will wait to see the result myself.” Dian was spirited the moment he felt the marine life flourished and prospered.
Then Dian changed his place to the land where the Rex inhabited. He realized that the strongest in the land was the Rex that was on the Heavensend Continent. Dian was faced with the Rex that had utilized Ether to help it hunt and strengthen itself.
He also felt that the flora and fauna of the land were also increasing and prospering. They also evolved due to the effect of the Ether in the air and saturated them.
“As a Planet Master who has to wield both Technology and Transcendent Tree, this is a necessary step.” Dian murmured when he saw the rich colors of the plants under the big trees and knew that introducing a transcendent energy that was compatible with all life was paramount to creating new resources.
There was also a vine that could move just like animals. It was actually a carnivorous plant as it hunted small animals by using its sharp, pointed end to thrust and using its body to entangle its prey.
“The rate of change has increased. There are so many exotic flora and fauna now that the Ether has spread to the entire surface of the planet.”
Dian watched all of that and wondered what kind of result it would produce. But the disadvantage of doing this was that the wilderness became more of a dangerous territory, and for the civilization to reclaim it would cost extra.
But that was for the distant future. Despite the flora and fauna becoming stronger, the people who formed the civilization were also becoming stronger through this, so it evened out.
Then Dian returned to the Planet Master’s space and saw the overview of the Cerulean Planet.
Now that the internal issue has been solved, the only issue I have is the external issue. Dian thought while looking outside the planet.
There were many things outside the planet. Other planets, asteroids, comets, the violet sun in the distance and many more. Dian also knew that sending something to the other Planet Master was different than exchanging specialty products through the Forum.
“I wonder if one day I can do the same.” Dian said while thinking about a potential future where he could also do that.
Now, all he needed to do was wait for time to pass. He also delegated some of the tasks to the other four.
Leif watched over the progress of the technology development and the Dwarves.
Ghylea watched over the Undead Secret Realm and the related transcendent as well as the undead.
Chikara watched over the Gling and the ecosystem.
Frie watched over the Elves as well as the entire planet that was affected by Ether.
Dian watched over everything else that the other four did not cover. Currently, he was watching someone who had researched the mind aspect of the human.
“If I am not wrong, he has touched the foundational aspect of the human mind. It just needs a bit more discovery and the right push to properly unravel the secret of the human mind.” Dian looked closely at the man and wished him well.
That person already had an idea about the human mind but further research needed something that could directly affect the physical realm.
I also want to know what kind of power the Nine Psyche-Locks have over the Transcendent Tree.
