Chikara looked sad when the Queen was killed. She felt like her world had turned into a gloomy landscape with black colored heaven and thunderclouds lingering, often letting out thunder incessantly.
The shock and distress she felt at that moment were great but in the end, this result was within expectation. The defeat was inevitable and she had just made one last stand; that was all.
“Looks like this is it.” Frie was having a hard time accepting the result for a certain reason. But now that the winner was decided, there was no need to even ask it since there would be an explanation, if she were still exist by then.
“Now, we just need to face whatever he is giving.” Chikara then turned her head and looked at Dian and his group while he approached the two of them.
“We all need to settle the people below on my planet.” Dian opened his mouth, relaying the importance of doing what he said.
“What are you doing?” Chikara was actually surprised to see that Dian did not do that.
By that, she meant that Dian did not just devour her existence. That was more beneficial since he could get all the insight and knowledge the defeated Planet Master had.
The First and Second Rank Star Battle was cruel in that fashion; often than not, the winner would just do that. It offered more knowledge as well as extra energy points to use.
That was why seeing Dian did not even do that made Chikara surprised and confused.
“I need your help. Don’t you see that I am trying to incorporate all the defeated races to become my Acquired Race?” Dian stated.
“Is that so?” Frie asked with doubt in her face.
“Come on. We need to do this since the Star Battle has ended. Time is limited so get going!” Leif was the one who spoke and he gestured with his limbs to go quickly to do what was suggested.
Chikara and Frie looked at each other before they looked at the three and nodded in agreement.
-
The Elves were shocked by the views that they had seen. To think that the Queen of the Gling Swarm was defeated was unthinkable to them. But reality proved that the thing they saw was real.
The Glings were thrown into disarray and chaos. But after a minute, they soon calmed down and stayed their ground.
The three races, on the other hand, were cheering for Long Wu for his victory. They also realized that they had won the Star Battle by winning that, ending the ongoing conflict.
But just because the source of the conflict was gone meant that the resentment from both sides could subside.
“Orders from the Headquarters and General Wazowski, a strict evacuation process is underway. I repeat, the evacuation process is underway starting from this moment!”
Long Wu realized that he was on the peak of the mountain and he could look around when he received an order from his walkie-talkie. The rest of the transcendent group and the Second Division also received the orders from their communication devices.
He also realized that the blow exchanged with the Queen inside the sphere was enough to flatten the mountain he stood on so he was grateful for the arrangement. There was movement from both sides but they still had difficulty trusting each other.
But they were concerned about their former enemies, so Long Wu looked around and saw that the Glings became a bit chaotic before returning to calm.
‘They have appointed a new Queen?’ Long Wu concluded this quickly because he knew that only a Queen could make the Glings orderly. But he was not sure about the exact process so he went to the depths of the Hive first.
Long Wu felt that the former Queen must be having a backup plan in case she was killed and he believed that she would do such things. The Contaminated Soil made things a bit difficult for Long Wu but it was just an inconvenience.
He reached the depth of the Hive and the entire defensive structure of the Hive did not even attack him.
‘It seems that the new Queen realized what was going on. How quick and convenient for me.’ Long Wu then walked to the throne room, where a small being was there.
Long Wu saw the miniature Queen sitting on the throne; some things connected her to the Hive and they locked gaze.
“You’ve won.” The small and cute voice of the miniature Queen sounded.
“Yes. But now is the time for migration to my world. Your planet will likely not be able to sustain you and that is why we are planning to evacuate everyone here. After all, this is standard procedure for post-Star Battle.” Long Wu explained his purpose there.
“Furthermore, I need you to contact the Elves about this. I know that you knew their language and the way they speak so please, do this as me owing you a favor.” Long Wu even slightly lowered his position for the newly ascended Queen.
The new Queen blinked her eyes before she remembered from the memories given to her that it was indeed the case.
“But I need you to be by my side.” The new Queen said, despite the fact that she had inherited the former Queen’s memory, she had no direct experience in dealing with someone like Long Wu but it did not prevent her from understanding that her race had lost.
“So that the Elves will follow me to your planet. As for the things like structure or Sacred Trees, I believe that your god will be able to handle that, correct?”
Long Wu listened and realized that the new Queen had gained the former Queen’s memory but acted differently.
Long Wu then said, “Fine, I will follow you. As for the things that cannot be carried, my god will be able to handle it like before. That is what I believe.”
Then they emerged from the Hive, having to manage things for the evacuation. It was convenient since most of the combat-ready Elves were there, which made it easier to convey things.
For a few hours, Long Wu followed the Queen’s entourage to the Elf King to give him the news and also the evacuation notice.
The Cerulean Defense Force became the one who needed to give way to the Elves. As for the Glings, the only things important to them were the Queen and the Hive. Anything else was disposable.
So the evacuation began. The new Queen also received the directive of Chikara while the Elf King received Frie’s instruction to go to the Rift. The Elves were used to this since they were the defeated ones before.
But they wanted to see how the Glings would evacuate and did not expect that only the Queen would follow them through the Rift.
The Planet Masters were busy with the process. Dian had to store the Hive and tucked it in the temporary inventory for the Star Battle along with the eleven Sacred Trees. All personnel, including the scientists, were retreating into the Rift along with the evacuation order.
The Second Division’s mission changed from battle to escort. Despite being former enemies, the Elves were surprisingly cooperative. The transcendent group and the Second Division would be the last batch to leave the planet they were on.
After transporting the Elves from the other settlements before the Sacred Trees disappeared, everyone moved toward the Rift.
Some people felt the gazes from the others and that made them uncomfortable. Their battle had ended but it did not mean the resentment faded. But all that happened was a staring contest.
The evacuation process was difficult because the Second Division moved at a pace similar to the Elves. It was slower since the Elves swelled in numbers and there were also the children and the elderly.
After a week, the last group finally sorted itself on the Rift. They walked through it as if it were a line that divided the old world and the new one.
The Second Division members let out a sigh of relief. Their movement was smooth and their supplies were enough to sustain them. They were also surprised that the Elves could sustain themselves with the Ether in their bodies but it was something natural.
Long Wu was beside the new Queen and knew that the sign of the planet’s destruction was becoming apparent. It was only held by some sort of power holding back for their sake.
“Let’s finish this and start your new life.” Long Wu said to the new Queen.
She nodded in agreement. She knew that the Hive was just behind the Rift, in the new world that was placed by humanity’s god.
Then Long Wu saw the Queen step forward and her presence disappeared from his senses. The wind blew harshly as if prompting him to leave the place as soon as possible.
Long Wu saw that everyone except himself was on the other side of the Rift. After one last glance at the surroundings which had changed from how they looked the first time he came, he stepped into the Rift.
“That took longer than I expected.” Dian had already arranged the Sacred Tree to be placed in the Heavensend Continent since the wilderness was large enough. But he did not expect that the evacuation process would take longer.
But soon he understood. Moving a large group from one place to another took time and resources. He was just glad that everyone was cooperating despite being at each other’s throats previously.
“Now, I need to announce some things lest someone keep worrying.” Dian turned around to see Chikara and Frie standing side-by-side. It was because of Chikara’s expression that Dian had to do this.
“I only need you to work for me. I know that the Planet Master System is binding you two to me, and I have power over your life and death but in my place, everyone needs to contribute. I won’t humiliate you if you do your assigned task properly.
“Besides, you two have already received the biggest reality humiliation possible so I won’t do it. But you need to work on your race and also to what I order. Do you two understand?”
Dian looked at the two, waiting for their answer.
“You…won’t humiliate me after all that?” Chikara seemed adamant on this and Dian noticed this point.
“What would that gain me? Pride? Higher status? No!” Dian shook his head while chuckling.
“I need entities that are loyal and can work for me. Not devouring you two is actually me accomplishing such a thing. Don’t mistake this for unconditional kindness.” Dian clarified.
“Then what should we do? You must have done some division of labor to the two, correct?” Frie asked while looking at Leif and Ghylea.
“Just listen first. Then decide whether the assigned task is suitable for you or not.” Ghylea said.
Frie frowned but did not raise another question.
“Then…”
After Dian had assigned tasks to the two newly arrivals, he checked the system announcements and panel.
[The Star Battle of the second rank has concluded]
[Congratulations to the Planet Master, winning the Star Battle]
[Settlement is in progress…]
[Settlement complete! The loser will be at the mercy and discretion of the winner.]
[You have obtained 30000 energy points]
[Warning! The winner’s planet is assimilating the loser’s planet. Please utilize your control as a Planet Master so that your planet will not fall into chaos!]
This time, he was ready for the moment the announcement appeared. Leif and Ghylea were in charge of stabilizing the Cerulean Planet’s condition since the assimilation process would devour the loser’s planet to be the nourishment for the winner.
With that, the size of his planet increased once more.
[Planet Size: 7500 km in diameter]
The landmass was slightly increasing but the sea area increased even more. There was even a small archipelago in the place where it was just seawater, rising above the sea level, and even became something as large as the two continents.
Comberth Continent, Heavensend Continent and the archipelago formed a triangle with the ocean in the middle of them. Dian who had the perspective of the entire planet visible, could see this and felt that his planet became more prosperous and bigger, which meant a bigger living space for all the living beings as well as a higher resource count.
He had tasked Chikara to tend to her race in the wilderness while Frie ordered the Elves to settle in the forested area where Dian had placed the eleven Sacred Trees there, a bit far from the Qin Empire.
There were multiple races in the Heavensend Continent and it was the biggest landmass than the Comberth Continent.
That was why Dian settled the two races there so that they would be able to use the land effectively.
Both areas of land on the two continents had increased by quite a large amount. This caused the coastal areas to be raised in elevation and become more inland. The new coastal area was formed one kilometer forward and that caused a new land to appear.
Dian saw that the planet was stabilizing since Leif and Ghylea were doing their job properly, while he also realized that the planet’s spirit was about to awaken.
[Planet Spirit’s awakening: 99.9%]
Dian then called everyone to his Planet Master’s Space.
“I call everyone here to give you some important news,” Dian said before he continued, “these two have not infused the fragment of their existence to the spirit of the planet yet and the planet’s spirit is about to awaken.”
Hearing this, Chikara’s eyes twitched while Frie’s eyes widened upon realizing that Dian was attempting to awaken the spirit of his home planet at Second Rank.
“You did not tell us about this.” Chikara flatly said.
Of course, both of them knew what this signified. They did not expect that a Planet Master dared to try this, especially since they could see the perpetrator.
“I meant to tell you sooner but there was a pressing matter.” Dian smiled apologetically while leading them all to the Undead Secret Realm, above the Undead Pool.
Chikara and Frie looked at the egg-shaped, multicolored thing hovering above the Undead Pool. They felt unpleasant about the current place but they understood the importance of giving a fragment of their existence to the spirit.
So they manifested, Frie looked like a wooden living being while Chikara looked like the combination of several Glings. They hovered above the Undead Pool and then gave a fragment of their existence. A line formed between them and the egg-shaped thing.
And just like that, the two felt the spirit took some of their characteristics to meld into its own.
“Oh, it is done.” Dian looked at the egg-shaped thing and realized that the progress for its awakening had finally been completed.
But he could see that the spirit clearly did not change. He was sure that the spirit was now awake but it could not move from its position.
“That felt good!” Chikara spoke up.
“So this is what you feel when connecting with the spirit of the planet.” Frie blinked and tried to remember the sensation.
“Well, let’s move to the more pleasant place.” Dian brought them to the sky above his planet, where the views were nice and they could oversee what was below them.
They all looked at Dian, waiting for his next words.
“Welcome to my pirate ship!” Dian said enthusiastically. Chikara and Frie did not get the joke but Leif snorted while Ghylea chuckled.
“What does that mean?” Seeing that the other two knew something related to what Dian had said, Chikara was not pleased and asked.
“It means that you are on his side and it is hard to get off.” Leif said.
“Is that the thing within your civilization?” Frie asked Dian.
Dian nodded and whistled.
“Well, you are tense so I need something to make you two calm down. Treat this as your welcome party or something.” Dian explained his purpose for doing what he did.
“Should I thank you?” Chikara said with a small grumble but Dian could see that she became more comfortable.
“No need for that. We can spend time getting to know each other while our civilizations interact and connect with each other. We have plenty of time.” Dian smiled.
“Are you trying to climb to the peak?” Frie asked something a bit more personal and that caused Leif and Ghylea to look at her with caution.
“Who doesn’t want to be the one who could overlook the entire Universe Field?” Dian said before he added.
“I actually want to surpass the Ten Venerables but I don’t know whether that is possible or not. To be exact, I want to surpass Ninth Rank Planet Master.”
This caused a small exclamation since Dian now explicitly told them his vision for the future. Even Chikara was surprised and Frie was shocked.
For them, to be able to pass the Second Rank Planet Master was already good enough but the entity they perceived said that he wanted to even surpass the Ten Venerables.
Was he ignorant of how hard it was to climb higher?
Or was he simply that optimistic?
All they could see right now was someone who dreams big. But whether he could achieve it was another matter.
“I will support you.” Leif said with a heavy voice. Now that he had heard what Dian wanted to do, Leif knew that it was better to support him.
“I figured you’d say that. It’s going to cost you extra to work me so much.” Ghylea said.
“Haha, you two are saying that but I know you care about your race.” Dian laughed a bit and he also let Chikara and Frie join in on their conversation.
But after this, Dian had something important he had to do. It was regarding his Auxiliary Ability Card.
