Chapter 1178: Chapter 604: Traitor
“Whether it is or not, it won’t be long before it becomes clear. You just need to be ready.” Malcolm said calmly:
“Give them a little more time. If they still do not show up, then directly smash the Chaos Core and begin indiscriminate cleansing of the Chaotic Star Gap.”
The few people nodded, and orders were issued one after another.
As the agreed time passed, Anduin and others still did not show up, naturally causing speculation from the interstellar media outside.
Many believed that Anduin and others were likely scared.
Azure Dragon was unwilling to make a move, and they had no means to resist.
Meanwhile, on the other side of the interstellar space, in the Desolate Starry Universe, a large number of life forms gathered there, all emitting high-energy radiation.
“The allied forces of the Three Great Civilizations have arrived, but it seems that Anduin and others have yet to appear.”
Spiritual fluctuations echoed around, with many people looking at their intelligence terminals, constantly monitoring the situation at the Chaos Core.
The interstellar media invited by the Three Great Civilizations were temporarily unable to leak information, yet some people used beyond-horizon methods to spy from afar, always able to detect some clues.
“Ha… They’re definitely not going to appear. This time, I’m afraid Lord Azure Dragon has no tricks left.” Someone gloated.
Gusta, however, scolded, “Lord Azure Dragon has his own ideas, what we need now is to find the four missing X Level life forms!”
The look on everyone’s faces was inexplicable. Actually, most people acknowledged Azure Dragon’s strength and its contribution to the High-level Life Form Union, gaining quite a bit of favor.
But after all, it’s the allied forces of the Three Great Civilizations. Even if they want to help, there’s nothing they can do.
Gusta stood in the void, seemingly unconcerned with the Chaotic Star Gap, spiritual fluctuations spreading outward,
“Based on Clarkson’s activity path, and the search paths of Bolso and the others, the most likely area for an anomaly is right here.”
“We’ve searched almost everywhere, and there’s nothing in this area.” Sener said, feeling inevitable disappointment, wondering if the guess was wrong, and Azure Dragon wasn’t secretly up to something?
“Nico…” Gusta suddenly summoned someone.
“Lord Gusta…” A life form in armor flew over, clearly not an X Level life form.
“Are you sure Clarkson won’t vanish anywhere else?” Gusta inquired.
Nico quickly replied, “Lord Clarkson discovered that there was another hidden aspect to his grandson’s death and searched each of the four communication cut-off points one by one. This is also where Lord Clarkson’s communication disappeared.”
On the other side, Anatoli had already raised his hand, with a large number of distorted symbols flooding into the void in front of him, then condensing into a virtual screen before everyone, to conduct a reversal.
“…No anomalies.” Anatoli frowned.
Simple time reversal is easily influenced by various factors.
However, as long as there’s a segment of time that cannot be reverted, it indicates an anomaly here.
He searched for a year but found nothing unusual.
He hinted, “Either nothing happened here, or there’s an existence more powerful than me that erased everything.”
Gusta frowned slightly; this matter seemed to be much more troublesome than he had imagined, and although the operation was leveraging the situation, the primary goal was to target Azure Dragon.
But one thing he didn’t get wrong was that these three individuals were dispatched by him.
If he couldn’t provide an explanation, and someone brought it up later, it would be troublesome, and it would likely be difficult for him to delegate people again.
Everyone couldn’t help but look at each other, with nearly forty people present, all of whom were X Level life forms. Surely, they couldn’t fail to find even the tiniest clue, right?
“Perhaps I could give it a try…” A spiritual fluctuation came from the rear.
Gusta looked over, surprised, “Lord Igor…”
This guy was an active X Level life form in the Star Alliance, running a not-too-large force, usually keeping a low profile, with little interaction with others, and not very noticeable.
Igor was naturally the Navigator. He floated over with a calm expression, “I have a superpower that can track a target’s activity path based on their information state, and perhaps find clues.”
Upon hearing this, Gusta didn’t show any excitement but reminded instead, “These people are all X Level life forms, who should usually suppress themselves while active.”
Igor gave a mysterious smile, “Has chairman not heard, no life form can completely suppress their information state. Wherever one passes, the universe will remember.”
Anatoli looked on in surprise.
“Oh…” Gusta was a bit surprised too and called Nico over again, asking him to find some of Clarkson’s usual possessions.
Soon, Nico gathered numerous items, and many people surrounded Igor, frowning at the cluttered mess before them.
They didn’t find a hint of information state in them.
However, Igor picked through the assortment and eventually took out a metal ring.
“There’s still some residue on this.”
All eyes gathered, big eyes staring at small ones, full of doubt. Was there really an information state on this?
Igor asked Nico, “Is this something Clarkson frequently touched?”
Nico was astonished, “How did you know, this was a gift from Lord Clarkson’s first wife, often carried with him, and it’s just because of leaving in a hurry this time that he didn’t bring it.”
Everyone’s faces changed involuntarily. This guy seemed to be onto something.
Following this, Igor held the ring, life energy surged, and a liquefied silver energy exuded from his skin, then poured into the void.
