Chapter 890 - 833: Treatment

Chapter 890: Chapter 833: Treatment

When he drove Ding Lei back to the doorstep of her home, Liu Hun looked at the old neighborhood in front of him and felt somewhat pensive.

This neighborhood was like a slum, with piles of garbage everywhere, and the air was filled with a pungent odor; for a deputy director to live in such conditions, one could only imagine how dire the situation was.

However, this was within Liu Hun’s expectations, so it didn’t surprise him much.

"Chairman Liu, I really have to thank you for what happened today. If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have known what to do," Ding Lei noticed Liu Hun’s slightly furrowed brows and spoke with some embarrassment.

Whether man or woman, everyone likes to save face in front of outsiders, and Ding Lei was no exception.

Given her family’s poverty, she felt somewhat embarrassed.

"If you’re sincerely thankful, you could invite us in for a cup of tea," Liu Hun smiled, speaking nonchalantly.

"If Chairman Liu doesn’t mind, of course," Ding Lei said with a bitter smile.

With Uncle Yun by her side and being in her own home, she naturally wasn’t worried about Liu Hun misbehaving. Besides, as the former chairman of Tianhe Company, Ding Lei didn’t think that Liu Hun took a fancy to her at first sight.

Ding Lei’s home was on the fourth floor, and the three of them quickly entered her home.

"Dad, Mom." As soon as Ding Lei walked into the room, she called out upon seeing an ordinary middle-aged couple.

"Leilei is back, huh? Is this the tall and handsome boyfriend you mentioned last time? Although he’s not quite tall and handsome, he looks pretty good. Quickly let your boyfriend come in and sit, why are you hesitating?" Ding Lei’s mother, upon seeing Liu Hun behind Ding Lei, lit up with excitement.

After their daughter graduated from college, she hadn’t had a boyfriend for two years, which made her parents anxious. The last time they pressed Ding Lei about it, she casually made up a lie, not expecting her parents to now mistake Liu Hun for her boyfriend.

"Mom, Liu Chairman and I aren’t what you think," Ding Lei’s face turned slightly red, her eyes glancing nervously at Liu Hun.

Seeing that Liu Hun’s expression hadn’t changed, she secretly breathed a sigh of relief; yet, she felt a tinge of disappointment in her eyes the next moment.

Both men and women are attracted to excellence, there’s no doubt about it. While Liu Hun might not be tall and handsome, he was kind-hearted and exceptionally capable, and such a man could easily win a girl’s heart.

"Aunt, Uncle, hello. I think there’s a misunderstanding. My name is Liu Hun. I happened to see a guy named Zheng Lei bullying Miss Ding on the street, so I stepped in to teach him a lesson. I thought for Miss Ding’s safety, I’d send her back home safely," Liu Hun explained.

"What? That guy Zheng Lei harassed you again?" Upon hearing Liu Hun’s words, Ding’s mother showed a flash of anger in her eyes.

"Mom, I’m fine..." Ding Lei’s face turned pale hearing her mother bring up the incident again.

If she hadn’t encountered Liu Hun tonight, she might not have been able to maintain her dignity.

"I saw that guy forcibly drag Miss Ding into a car, so I couldn’t stand the behavior and stepped in. I hope I didn’t cause any trouble for Uncle and Aunt," Liu Hun said humbly.

Hearing this, Ding’s mother’s face grew darker, and even Ding Wen, who hadn’t spoken yet, looked grim.

At the police station, despite how Zheng Wuming bullied him, Ding Wen could ignore it, but he would never allow his daughter to be defiled by Zheng Lei.

"Old thing, you tolerate Zheng Wuming’s bullying enough, but now his son is picking on our daughter. How long do you plan to endure this?" Ding’s mother broke into tears while hugging Ding Lei, feeling heartbroken for her daughter.

Ding Wen’s face turned dark green as his wife scolded him, but he didn’t say anything.

He had reached the position of deputy director entirely through his own abilities, but in this society, without a backing, Ding Wen might have maxed out his potential at this level.

Zheng Wuming, however, had the support behind him, so Ding Wen naturally wouldn’t dare offend him easily.

"I understand this issue now. Let’s let the guests come in and sit for a while." Ding Wen suppressed his anger and spoke softly to Liu Hun and Uncle Yun.

"Uncle, I didn’t mean anything special by bringing Miss Ding back. It’s just earlier that I noticed Miss Ding seemed to walk a bit peculiarly. I wanted to ask if she has that comprehensive muscle twitch condition? I’m just a humble doctor, but I believe I should not stand by when seeing someone in need," Liu Hun said calmly, seeing his purpose reached.

"How do you know about that? Wait, you said your name is Liu Hun? The former chairman of Tianhe Company and the one known as the Divine Doctor in the medical community?" Ding Wen paused for a moment upon hearing Liu Hun’s name, then showed a look of shock.

Seeing Ding Wen’s reaction, Liu Hun nodded with a smile.

His actions weren’t out of sheer goodwill; Ding Lei indeed had this condition, and since he had wronged her before, treating her illness would serve as compensation.

"Although this disease doesn’t seem to have severe consequences, in a few years, Miss Ding’s legs might face paralysis," Liu Hun said truthfully.

Understanding his daughter’s condition deeply, Ding Wen had visited many hospitals, but all pointed to no cure.

"Liu..." Ding Wen looked at Liu Hun with excitement, lost for a moment on how to address him.

"Uncle, just call me Liu Hun. I’m no longer the chairman of Tianhe Company now. Since we’ve gotten acquainted, there’s no need for such courtesy," Liu Hun smiled.

"Alright, Liu Hun, if you can cure Leilei’s legs, I’ll agree to anything you ask, even if it costs my old life," Ding Wen said, his face glowing with anticipation.

"Uncle, that’s too formal of you," Liu Hun paused, turned to Uncle Yun, and said, "Uncle Yun, could you please go to the car and fetch my silver needles?"

"Yes, young master," Uncle Yun nodded and then headed downstairs.

Yun Bo had just left when Ding Wen immediately invited Liu Hun in to sit down, welcoming him warmly.

"Uncle, there’s no need for such trouble. I should first treat Miss Ding. After all, it’s already so late, and I don’t want to disturb your rest," Liu Hun said with a smile.

"Alright, alright, alright." Hearing this, Ding Wen readily agreed.

As long as his daughter’s legs were healed, his life would be much easier, and even quitting his job wouldn’t matter so much.

In the past, he worked hard and humbled himself just for this job, to meet more people and find a way to heal his daughter’s legs.

Now that Liu Hun was here to help, he no longer had to worry.

Ring ring...

Just as Liu Hun was about to treat Ding Lei, Ding Wen’s phone rang. Seeing the caller ID, Ding Wen’s expression changed slightly, and he went straight to the balcony to answer the call.

"Leilei, stay here and let Liu Hun treat you. Your mom and I will go buy something." After taking the call, Ding Wen instructed Ding Lei.

Ding Lei didn’t think much of it and nodded.

As the parents left, Liu Hun nodded to Yun Bo beside him.

Then, Yun Bo followed the parents downstairs.

One could easily guess that Zheng Lei and his group came to stir up trouble, given that Liu Hun had extorted a hundred thousand from Zheng Lei earlier. Zheng Lei wouldn’t let it go easily.

Now by letting Ding Wen experience some hardship, it would be much easier to persuade him later; however, to be on the safe side, Liu Hun asked Yun Bo to follow them down.

If Zheng Lei acted rashly and beat Ding Wen half to death, his plan would be ruined.

"Miss Ding, first, I need to massage you to disperse the blood in your thighs before I can proceed with the acupuncture," Liu Hun squatted in front of Ding Lei, calmly speaking to her while gazing at her long, fair legs.

"No... no problem..." Hearing Liu Hun’s words made Ding Lei blush slightly.

After all, a girl’s legs being touched by a man is somewhat awkward.

Seeing Ding Lei agree, Liu Hun’s hands directly landed on Ding Lei’s thighs, gently exploring.

Feeling the smooth skin and taut muscles, Liu Hun couldn’t help but feel a stirring in his heart, lamenting to himself, "It’s been so long since I’ve touched a woman, now even treating someone makes me feel a bit strange..."

Although Liu Hun somewhat missed Yao Yu, he knew that Yao Yu hadn’t graduated yet, and her presence here wouldn’t be safe.

"Chairman Liu..." While Liu Hun was lost in thought, his hands inadvertently moved towards the root of Ding Lei’s thighs.

Ding Lei’s body trembled slightly, lowering her head, she didn’t dare to look directly at Liu Hun and softly reminded him.

Hearing her, Liu Hun snapped back to reality and noticed Ding Lei’s exquisite face, full of blush, looking extremely alluring.

"Now I finally understand why Zheng Lei went to such lengths," Liu Hun teased Ding Lei, unfazed by his slip-up.

"I..." Ding Lei raised her head, wanting to say something, but seeing Liu Hun’s expression turn serious, she hesitated and ultimately couldn’t speak.

Even though Liu Hun’s hands were exploring her thighs, she could see in his eyes that they weren’t filled with any disrespect.

"Is it because he’s not interested or am I not attractive enough?" Although Ding Lei didn’t feel discomfort with Liu Hun’s attitude, she was a bit disappointed.

A man was exploring her thighs, yet felt nothing—this, to her, was a kind of blow.

"Next, I may need to massage your thigh root a bit, and I hope Miss Ding doesn’t mind since I am a doctor," after massaging Ding Lei’s thighs, Liu Hun raised his head, awkwardly addressing Ding Lei.

"Mhm." Hearing this, Ding Lei blushed again, gently closing her eyes, her demeanor as if waiting for Liu Hun’s favor.

Seeing Ding Lei’s posture, Liu Hun couldn’t help but have a few black lines appear across his forehead, inwardly smiling wryly, "My dear lady, don’t you realize how tempting you look right now? I’ve been trying hard to control myself..."

Thinking this, but his large hand continued without hesitation, lightly landing on the root of Ding Lei’s thigh.

After a few massages, Ding Lei suddenly let out a small sound, and her legs clamped down on Liu Hun’s hand.

"I... I..." Ding Lei opened her eyes, looking at Liu Hun, unsure of how to explain.

Under Liu Hun’s massage, her body actually felt something, which was incredibly embarrassing.

At that moment, Ding Lei wished for a hole to crawl into.

"It’s human nature, after all, such things happen to both men and women. Next, I’ll give you acupuncture, which may cause slight pain. I hope you can bear with it," Liu Hun withdrew his hands, unfazed.

It wasn’t that Liu Hun didn’t want to continue taking advantage, but that if he continued, alone with a woman in this setting, he feared getting carried away.
