Chapter 1582: Chapter 1582: Let Me Set Up a Stall

Mr. Ghost Hayes perked up and rang the doorbell.

There was a square electronic screen above the doorbell. After a moment, the servant’s face appeared and asked him, "Who are you looking for?"

Mr. Ghost Hayes cleared his throat, "I have important business with Mr. Graves."

"My master is not home."

Mr. Ghost Hayes was stunned, "Not home? Where did he go?"

The servant frowned, looking displeased, "Is my master’s whereabouts any of your business?"

With that, the electronic screen went dark, and the servant ignored him further.

Mr. Ghost Hayes was dumbfounded. This isn’t right! Didn’t Gavin Graves just get out of the hospital? Where could he have gone?!!

...

On Mist Glow Mountain, worshippers came and went at White Cloud Temple, praying for blessings.

In the backyard, there was a large vegetable garden, lush and thriving. Next to the garden was a big vat, deeply entrenched in the mud over the years, with its surface covered in moss.

A black cat rubbed its whiskers and mouth against the vat’s wall, its tail swaying gently, looking quite content.

Clarity the taoist priest carried two buckets of water along the field ridges, the yoke heavy but his steps light, not spilling a drop from the buckets.

He set down the buckets, picked up one, and poured the water into the vat. The mountain spring water was clear and bright. As the water trickled, he said, "Fate’s gathering and parting are natural occurrences, Mr. Graves, why must you persist?"

Gavin Graves replied, "She said she wanted to care for this cat for a lifetime. Now that she’s no longer here, I’ll fulfill her wish."

Clarity the taoist priest sighed, looking at the black cat, "Want to go back?"

"Meow~~" the black cat meowed softly.

The taoist priest chuckled, "Then you should go."

Gavin Graves crouched down, picked up the black cat, gently stroking its head, feeling his heart gradually calm...

In the peaceful mountain, free from worldly concerns, Gavin Graves didn’t return immediately.

He stayed in the White Cloud Temple, living as a layman—attending morning lectures, eating vegetarian meals, fetching water to irrigate the fields, every word and deed being part of his practice.

While Gavin sought inner peace in the mountains, the outside world was abuzz with rumors that the family head of the Graves Family was going to become a taoist priest due to grieving the loss of his beloved wife!

Cherry saw this news and almost spat out the tofu brain in her mouth!

"Are you crazy?!" she couldn’t help but comment, "So handsome, and he’s going to be a priest? Isn’t that a waste of talent?"

"Cherry, what are you talking about?" Mr. Augustus, busy in the kitchen, asked.

"It’s nothing!" Cherry thought for a while, then went to the kitchen with her tofu brain, "Dad, I think we should change the name of our signature dish!"

Mr. Augustus worked while laughing, "Change it to what?"

"Augustus Tofu Brain should be changed to Augustus Tofu Pudding, how about that?"

"Well, they’re quite similar..."

"They’re very different! One’s like a bloody brain, and the other’s a beautiful little flower. Even the smell and taste are different!"

Mrs. Augustus, sitting on a stool picking beans, couldn’t help but laugh, "You, child, that’s disgusting. What brain are you talking about."

Mr. Augustus chuckled, "After all, it’s just one word, changing it is easy. If Cherry wants to change it, then let’s change it."

Cherry was delighted and added, "Let’s add a slogan too—organic soybeans, green and healthy!"

Mrs. Augustus laughed and said, "Our beans are regular soybeans, not organic ones."

"People can’t tell the difference anyway," Cherry said indifferently.

"How could that do? Wouldn’t that be deceiving?" Mr. Augustus shook his head disapprovingly, "Cherry, in business, honesty is the foundation."

Cherry nodded nonchalantly, "Oh, then we won’t add that, just change the sign!"

Then she happily returned to her room.

The couple exchanged smiles, then continued with their work.

The next day, they went about their stall as usual. Many college students woke up late, so their early morning stall could stay open until ten.

A little after nine, the couple was preparing to close the stall when they saw Cherry running towards them from a distance, carrying a plastic bucket in one hand and a small stool under her arm—

"Dad! Mom! Wait for me! Let me set up a stall!"
