Chapter 1589: Chapter 1589: College Student Blaire Davis
“The landlord suddenly wants to sell the house, but it’s okay, the landlord has already transferred the compensation to my account.” Sonny picked up a large flower pot with a money tree growing in it, struggling to move it inside.
Cherry and Mrs. Augustus walked out of the room and saw that nearly human-height money tree. Cherry’s eyes lit up, “Ahhh~ It’s so beautiful!”
Sonny wiped his sweat, “There’s also ivy, elephant ears, and arrowroot at home. If you like, I can bring them all over. It’s inconvenient to put them in the car when moving.”
“Sure, sure! Bring them all over!” Cherry replied without hesitation.
Mr. Augustus felt it wasn’t right and said, “Let me move it, this thing is heavy.”
Getting free stuff from someone, how could you have the nerve to make them do the hard work too?
Sonny scratched his head shyly and looked at Cherry, “Why don’t you come to my house and take a look? I’m about to move soon, and there’s too much stuff to fit in the car. If you like it, I’ll give it all to you.”
Cherry let out a cheer and happily ran next door.
The Augustus parents were embarrassed and apologized to their neighbor, “We can’t just take your things for free. You work hard to earn money too…”
“No worries, Uncle and Auntie, don’t be formal with me. They’re not worth much, as long as Cherry is happy!” the young guy replied, blushing.
Cherry moved all the flowers and plants from next door to her balcony, temporarily creating a little garden, and also got a beautiful floor lamp for free.
Didn’t spend a penny, felt great.
The next day, Sonny indeed moved away.
Movers were coming in and out, and Sonny stood at the elevator hesitantly, saying to Cherry, “Even though I’m moving out… I’ll often miss you, Cherry, will you… will you miss me?”
“I will.” Cherry nodded affirmatively, her tone incredibly sincere, “You’ve been so good to me, of course I’ll miss you!”
Sonny couldn’t help but blush, “Then… let’s keep in touch.”
Cherry nodded, “Sure!”
After sending Sonny off, Cherry went home and received a message from Blaire Davis—asking her out for coffee in the afternoon and reminding her that the weather might change, so she should wear more layers.
Cherry enjoyed it immensely.
The feeling of being loved is really nice!
“Really strange, I just heard the other two families on this floor are moving out too.” The parents were chatting about something odd at home, “Could someone be maliciously hoarding houses to manipulate the market?”
Mrs. Augustus was worried, “Oh dear, would the house we’re living in be sold too?”
“If they really want to sell the house, with so much stuff at home, moving would be a hassle.”
“Why not call the landlord and ask? If they’re really going to sell, we can prepare in advance.”
Listening to her parents’ discussion, Cherry felt a bit uneasy, as if there was something strange about this…
Hopefully, she was just overthinking it.
…
In the afternoon, Cherry put on a pretty dress, got all dolled up, and went out for her date.
She lived next to the college, with many coffee shops nearby, convenient for college students to date, with a great atmosphere—a place filled with youthful and restless hearts.
She absolutely loved this place!
Blaire Davis arrived half an hour early.
He was a tall and slender young man in his junior year, excellent in both character and academics, sunny and cheerful. His smile seemed to dispel all the gloom in a girl’s heart, incredibly healing.
“Cherry, you’re a good girl…” The boy blushed as he began to speak.
Cherry thought: Yes, I am.
“In my heart, you’re beautiful, pure, kind, and very filial. I’ve never met a girl as good as you…”
Cherry rested her chin in her hand, enchanted: Yeah, I’m just that good.
“Ever since I met you, I can’t help but think about you every day. My feelings are like this poem, ‘Upon entering the door of longing, you know the pain of it, longing long is endless, longing short never ceases.'”
Cherry silently smiled. What is this with thinking of dying, couldn’t he pick a luckier poem?
“Blaire!” a woman’s angry shout suddenly came from the cafe entrance!
A young girl marched angrily towards them, her eyes red, “Why do you still want to see her? She’s really a tea-drinking b***h!”
