Chapter 1282: Chapter 1253: Survival Training
Minor world, Academy of Paradise in Black Stone City.
Li Chen was standing opposite the old headmaster, looking at Wang Qiu, his expression was very calm.
“Who exactly are you?” Wang Qiu couldn’t help but ask this question.
Upon hearing the headmaster’s words, Li Chen couldn’t help but ponder for a moment, then swiftly replied, “Let’s put it this way, I am a person with advanced educational ideas.”
The old headmaster rolled his eyes, finding it hard to make sense of this man who seemingly appeared from nowhere.
At first, Wang Qiu was merely impressed by Li Chen’s strength and wanted him to teach the students something.
But as time passed, he merely had the students train their physical strength.
Yet the final result took him by surprise.
He was aware of the conflict between Class Five and Class Seven; after all, as the headmaster of Academy of Paradise and also an earth-level expert, he could clearly detect any commotion in the academy.
However, in this small clash, the students from Class Seven unexpectedly managed to beat up the students from Class Five, leaving them bruised and battered.
Though this didn’t necessarily mean that the students of Class Seven had improved significantly, from all angles, it seemed that Li Chen’s unconventional educational method had some effect?
The structure of the minor world differs from that of the main world; here, humanity is not mainstream.
Thus, being an earth-level expert as well as the headmaster of a Human Race academy, he carries burdens that others don’t.
These students are whom he considers the future of the Human Race.
“Are you really planning to take them for outdoor training?” Though he had already asked several times, he couldn’t help but ask once more.
Li Chen calmly nodded: “This is not just my decision, but a decision made together with the students. Moreover, I believe that growing to be a strong individual cannot be achieved solely by painstaking training and learning in the academy.”
“To ordinary people, martial artists are strong, but strong individuals are not necessarily martial artists.” Li Chen said indifferently, “They are all martial artists now, but what I aim to do is to train them into strong individuals!”
Wang Qiu’s eyes flickered, hearing something unusual in Li Chen’s words.
“Alright! I agree!”
Seeing Wang Qiu agree, Li Chen smiled and nodded, “Thank you, headmaster. I’ll discuss with those youngsters and then prepare to head out. This journey won’t be long, but it also won’t be short. These youngsters have a lot of potential, but to become strong, they must endure hardships.”
“Since you have this information, I agree to it. I only have one request, I hope these youngsters can return safely, without missing arms or legs.”
“Don’t worry, headmaster!” Li Chen nodded vigorously.
Leaving the headmaster’s office, Li Chen returned to the classroom and immediately delivered this news to the students of Class Seven.
Upon hearing Li Chen’s news, the students jumped up happily.
Though they occasionally went out privately, it was always in hiding, but it was the first time they went out openly accompanied by the teacher for training.
“Alright, since everything is ready, everyone go back today and have a good rest. We depart tomorrow!” Li Chen clapped his hands and said.
“Yes!” The group of students answered in unison.
Early the next day, Li Chen led the group of students out of Black Stone City to the wilderness to begin their training.
Following his old habit, Li Chen prepared quite a lot of things before leaving, carrying a large pack on his back.
Many students were curious about what Li Chen had in his pack, but Li Chen didn’t explain anything.
Li Chen didn’t say anything because what he brought had nothing to do with the students.
About ten miles from Black Stone City lay a forest. Li Weisi and they initially encountered Li Chen there.
This time, Li Chen didn’t plan to go too far; that forest would be a good place for training.
However, his destination was not where he initially appeared, but deeper into the forest.
Although venturing deeper into the forest might encounter stronger demon beasts, Li Chen believed that without putting pressure on these youngsters, they would not be able to grow.
“Teacher Li, is this the place?” A student couldn’t help but ask upon entering the forest.
“Of course not, your training location is deeper within the forest.” Li Chen smiled and responded.
Li Chen enlarged his perception and discovered, in the distance, the existence of a valley.
And around the valley, there were already many wild beasts and even demon beasts.
“Here is your training location.” Having arrived at the valley, Li Chen turned his head and said to the group of students behind him.
“Here?” One student curiously looked around, but found nothing but plants in the valley.
“Teacher Li, this isn’t a good place for camping.”
Li Chen extended his finger and firmly knocked on the student’s head: “I’m bringing you here not for camping. What follows is true wilderness survival training.”
“Wilderness survival training?”
“Exactly.” Li Chen smiled and nodded, “Now, hand over all the food you brought; you may keep your water. However, during the next month, you’ll have to figure out the food aspect yourselves.”
Upon hearing Li Chen’s words, the group of students were dumbfounded.
But eventually, they obediently handed over all the food they brought with them to Li Chen, while some private stashes were overlooked.
He felt he was quite empathetic, but the group of students looked at him with an expression of clenched teeth.
In such a desolate place with nothing provided, asking them to survive for a month was practically asking for their lives!
“Hmm, here are some dried foods, enough for three days, but after three days, if you can’t find any food, you’ll go hungry.” Li Chen took out some jerky and such from his backpack and handed them to the group of students.
“Alright, it’s getting late, everyone should think carefully. The next month is entirely up to you guys.” Li Chen smiled, waved at the group with his backpack full of items, and prepared to leave.
For some unknown reason, Li Chen, when he came out, still carried the cane, although it seemed shorter for some reason.
Now, he leaned on the cane, carrying a heap of stuff, slowly disappearing from the students’ view.
For the first time, the group of students felt that a certain teacher’s departing figure was so infuriating.
