Chapter 1300: 1271: The Elf Queen's Counterattack Plan

Chapter 1300: Chapter 1271: The Elf Queen’s Counterattack Plan

Li Chen sat there chatting with Cherie, from when they first met until Li Chen had to leave.

It seemed there was an endless stream of words between them, and being with Cherie always made Li Chen feel as if a significant burden had been lifted from his shoulders.

This simple girl always had a way of making people feel that way.

It wasn’t until Odelia came to summon him that Li Chen stood up to leave.

“The Queen said she wants to see you.”

“Alright.” Li Chen nodded and looked at Cherie by his side: “I’ll head over first, then.”

“Okay.” Cherie also stood up. She was now the physician of the Elf Race, and since the Elf Race was in a time of war, injured elves were frequently brought in, making Cherie quite busy.

It was only because of Li Chen’s appearance that she managed to carve out some time to meet with him.

Still beneath the giant tree, it seemed that no matter the location change, the massive Tree of Life maintained its original appearance. Beneath the giant tree still stood a palace.

And that palace was the sleeping palace of the Elf Queen Patricia.

When meeting Patricia again, a strange sensation rose in Li Chen’s heart.

This very childlike Elf Queen seemed even more like a kid. When Li Chen entered, Patricia was squatting by a bouquet of flowers in the palace, carefully observing a little bug moving on the leaves.

It was as though some profound meaning was hidden in this little bug’s body.

Li Chen did not know what profound meaning the bug might contain, so he said nothing and quietly watched Patricia.

And Patricia quietly observed the little bug.

After a while, Patricia finally stood up, and when she saw Li Chen, she looked a bit surprised.

“You’re here?”

Hearing Patricia’s words, Li Chen couldn’t help but feel a bit speechless: “I’ve been here for a while.”

Patricia blushed: “Um… I was just…”

“I didn’t see anything,” Li Chen said, covering his forehead.

“Alright, alright.” Patricia took small steps to Li Chen: “Not noticing you come in was my fault, but you didn’t see anything just now!”

“I understand.” Li Chen replied with a wry smile.

“Odelia already told me why you came back, but since you’re already here, you should help out, right? After all, the Demon Clan threatens not just our Elf Race; your Human Race is also one of their prime enemies.”

In truth, Li Chen wanted to say that these matters had nothing to do with him, but seeing Patricia’s serious expression, he swallowed his words.

To him, many of the issues in the minor world indeed had little to do with him.

But as a member of the Human Race and being in the minor world, if the Demon Clan did occupy the whole minor world, he might also become one of their targets. So in these matters, he couldn’t completely stand by.

“What should I do?” Li Chen asked directly.

“Let me first explain the current situation to you.” Patricia looked at Li Chen, somewhat oddly: “Odelia said you’ve become stronger, but I didn’t expect you to become this much stronger. There probably aren’t many as strong as you in this entire minor world now.”

Li Chen said nothing and shook his head with a bitter smile.

Seeing Li Chen had no intention of explaining, Patricia didn’t press the issue, instead, she took out a map from her person.

“The Demon Clan is positioned at the furthest west part of the minor world. However, since some races have gradually been siding with the Demon Clan, their territory is no longer limited to just the western area.”

“And not long ago, the Demon Clan declared war on all races in the minor world. Many races were caught off guard and have begun to fall one after another. Those that have fallen are captured or enslaved by the Demon Clan, and some have already joined their army.”

Patricia continuously pointed with her delicate fingers on the map, explaining the current situation to Li Chen in detail.

“Our Elf Race is relatively better off because we’re quite far from the Demon Clan, so even if they have intentions against us, they can only send teams of experts to detour here.”

Patricia seriously stated: “Essentially, the Demon Clan has gathered all their troops from the east to deal with us, giving other races in the eastern region time to assemble their forces.”

“Currently, most races in the eastern region, including the Human Race, have united to form an army against the Demon Clan’s forces. Our Elf Race is also part of the Allied Forces, and the battlefield…”

Patricia pointed again at the map: “is in this location, in a human city about two hundred miles from our Elf Race. This city is now our main point of conflict with the Demon Clan.”

“Main point of conflict?” Li Chen asked.

“Yes.” Patricia nodded: “Right now, most of the Allied Forces are gathered inside the city, while the Demon Clan’s forces are outside. Only a portion of them are the original Demon Clan; a large part are races they have conquered since.”

“Of course, you’re aware the critical factor is the top-level combat power. The Demon Clan sent many experts this time, intending to resolve us first, then gradually push inward from two directions.”

“So, if we win here, we can join forces from the east to the west and face the Demon Clan head-on. If we lose, the minor world might entirely fall into their hands, so we can’t lose!”

“I understand,” Li Chen nodded, then asked: “How many experts has the Demon Clan dispatched this time?”

“One at the Burning Heat Level, three at the Roar Level, and dozens at the Earth Level.” Patricia’s voice was stern, but her youthful tone inevitably made one inclined to chuckle.

“I see…” Li Chen rubbed his chin.

“What’s wrong?” Patricia asked, noticing Li Chen’s expression.

Li Chen nodded and said, “If the number of Demon Clan experts hasn’t changed, you should subtract one Roar-level and several Roaring ones.”

Seeing Patricia’s puzzled look, Li Chen curiously asked: “Didn’t Odelia tell you? I’ve already taken care of a few of them.”
