Chapter 583
Anton returned to the Corridors of Amuneta Dungeon to continue running what he calls the “gold runs” on the 30th floor. Doing the gold runs allowed him to focus on leveling up his ladder characters, since inside the dungeon, there were fewer distractions if he did not actively pursue them.
As was the usual time that he spent doing gold runs, after four days, he returned to the Manor and dumped everything that he acquired from the dungeon into the treasure room. The amount of gold coins that the treasure room now had was around 1.2 million gold coins. He also acquired 10 high-level mana stones, bringing the total to 284. He still did not know what use the mana stones were to him aside from being his emergency treasure horde. He kept thinking of doing experiments to learn how to utilize the mana stones, but because of his goal of leveling up his ladder characters together with his laziness, it had been shelved in a small corner of his mind. Anton’s ladder Druid leveled up to level 45.
When he arrived home from his gold runs, Anton was a little sad that his father was in the dungeon. It was highly difficult for them to sync their schedules. Considering that he planned to apply to be part of Ormunda’s Special Forces against the Undead Coalition, there would come a time when he would not be able to meet with his family for quite some time. He decided that he would persevere in making sure to meet his father at least once a week.
When Luna and Alfred met with him, the siblings excitedly asked for the next three films in the Star Wars movie saga.
“Thank goodness you’re back! Can you give us the last three movies? You said that the franchise had a total of 9 movies, right?” Luna asked.
Anton laughed out loud when he saw Luna and Alfred wearing Jedi Robes.
“We looked good, right?!” Alfred proudly strutted in his new Jedi Robes.
“How long did it take for you to make those costumes?” Anton asked the two.
“Not long. Ormunda’s seamstresses are good. They use magic! We’re planning to hold a Star Wars Cosplay party. Do you want to join us?” Luna asked.
“I can’t. I’m busy delving into the dungeons. Go ahead and enjoy yourselves, though.”
Anton then gave the siblings the last three movies in the Star Wars movie franchise. He didn’t divulge the fact that there were more movies and shows that were based on the Star Wars universe.
After that, Anton met with Raymond, and the butler reported everything that happened in the manor while he was gone. Mostly, it was regular stuff, and the only notable information was that the number of viewers for the movies climbed to a total of 500 people. The manor had to transfer the cinema viewing to the ballroom.
Thankfully, Luna and Alfred’s friends’ families, who were the movie viewers, were considerate and were the ones who brought food and manpower to keep everyone fed and make sure that the venue was clean. The funny thing was, both Anders and Anton were very indulgent with Luna and Alfred and didn’t mind the commotion that the two were causing as long as they did not neglect their studies. Any problems that arose due to the situation, like needing more guards, or creating rules that the visitors needed to strictly adhere to, were attended to expertly by Raymond and Anton were thankful for the family butler’s competency.
Anton just smiled when Raymond reported that Romina was bitter about not monetizing the movie viewing. At the very least, their family had gained a reputation for being very generous.
Raymond also reported with a little chagrin, almost comparable to Romina’s bitterness regarding the movies, that a new business had sprung up in Ormunda. Those businesses were only popular near their home, though. It was the movie costume and accessories businesses. The butler said that their family should have been the one handling that business, but Anton simply didn’t care, and he guessed that, by Raymond’s reaction, Anders didn’t care as well.
Right now, Anton, Anders, and possibly Anna were just focused on strengthening themselves, especially when they learned that the Undead Coalition had turned their gaze toward the Gale Continent.
Anton and Anders wouldn’t stop the family from enjoying themselves, and Anton even kept providing the siblings with copies of movies, but they wouldn’t focus on the films again. At least for now.
The next day, Anders returned from the dungeon. Anton saw that his father was exhilarated since he leveled up to level 17, and his group was around level 11 or 12. They were also starting to earn a good amount of coins, and Anton’s father told him that soon, they would be able to purchase another unique job scroll.
“Father, the treasure room now has around 1.2 million gold coins and a bunch of magic items. Why don’t you just spend them?”
“The treasure in the treasure room is for our family. The ones who wanted the unique job were members of my adventurer group. That meant that they would need to earn the gold coins themselves if they wanted them. Having goals is also a motivation for everyone.”
Anton excused himself when Raymond started reporting everything that happened in the manor to Anders. During dinner, everyone enjoyed the massive amount of delicious food that Ms. Noria had prepared to celebrate Ander’s return. Anton was surprised that some of the dishes were the ones that Ms. Noria and some of the cooks had seen from watching the internet.
While they were eating, the dinner table was very loud. Since Anton and Anders ignored the custom of being quiet while eating, everyone else started discussing things while at the table. Luna and Alfred excitedly told Anders about the Star Wars films and the costumes they had made. They also thanked him profusely for allowing their friends to watch the movies and for allowing them to hold cosplay parties.
The next day, Anders and Anton rested. Anders listened to Anton’s singing while viewing the flowers in the garden. Anton made sure that there was rain since the sound of rain, the cool room, and the sweet smell of the flowers brought a restful state to everyone. Even Anders’s group was enjoying themselves in the other salons facing the gardens. They did plan to go out into the city later to relieve their stress, and even Anton’s father planned to join them. He even overheard that they would be visiting the Angels' Palace. Because of that, Anton changed his plan of going there because he found it weird to go there with his father.
The next day, Anton and his father left for the dungeons in the afternoon since they spent the morning together with the family first. While they were inside the carriage going to the gates, both father and son were highly amused to see the cosplay costumes that some people were already wearing. Considering that the only films they had seen so far were Harry Potter and Star Wars, it would have been much more chaotic if the people had seen more movies. Both had seen it before aboard the Amelia.
When they reached the gates, the father and son separated since Anton would be going to the high-level dungeon while Anders and his group would be going to the Balathar dungeon. The moment Anton arrived at the town that held the entrance to the Corridors of Amuneta Dungeon, even though it was already late, he immediately acquired a key to the 30th floor. He planned to spend the night inside the dungeon.
