Chapter 197: Leveling up again.
They cracked open a second coconut bean and Nimo devoured most of it.
"You need to stop eating these things for a while, I think you are addicted to them." Sunshine told her.
Nimo popped a bean in her mouth, and she felt an energy rush as it went down her throat. Her whole body shuddered and she hummed. "You are right, I must be addicted. It is my healthy drug of choice. If this is what Cassius was feeding the women in his harem in your last life, I can understand why they followed him. They were high on beans."
Sunshine was speechless.
Nimo laughed when she saw her friend’s baffled expression. "So, what do you intend to do with the red fang flowers? Also, anything with the name fang has got to be a bit dangerous. Have you ever seen anything with fangs that wasn’t?" She raised one hand and counted with her fingers, "Snakes, vampires, lions, leopards, spiders...."
"Stop...vampires!" Sunshine exclaimed. "You do know that they are not real, right?"
Nimo shrugged. "Who knows truly? You have a space that sends you to another world. We are living in an apocalypse with people awakening superpowers. You were reborn Suni!!! Believing in vampires and werewolves should not sound as crazy as it once was."
"Vampires are not real." Sunshine said solemnly. "Superhumans are awakening because of scientific changes to their DNA not because a vampire bat bit a man and he started thirsting for blood...." She frowned. "Although, people bitten by mutated rats have high chances of being infected with a rat plague. Sometime, those people bite others."
"Aha!" Nimo said enthusiastically.
Sunshine rolled her eyes. "Vampires are not related to rats, relax and walk me to the lab. We need to deliver some of these red fang flowers to the lab right now."
Nimo carefully kept away the rest of the coconut bean and she started helping Sunshine gather the flowers.
Professor Peach and Julia arrived and they joined them. Sunshine explained to the two women how to plant and care for the trees she had brought back. As they got to work with other gardeners, she and Nimo made their way to the laboratory.
It was as busy as the medic bay. The researchers were moving up and about, in their gowns or sitting at their research stations.
Dr. Sing and Professor Chloe were bent over a monitor discussing something heatedly. Obviously, they were not in agreement over what they were handling.
They looked up when Sunshine cleared her throat and she gasped while Nimo burst into laughter because half of Doctor’s Sing’s mustache had been burned off!
"You look.... unique Doctor Sing." Sunshine said to him.
He touched the half of his beard which was still intact, and he sighed.
"Did we interrupt something." She asked them.
Professor Chloe shook her head. "No-no, it’s no bother, I was just consulting something with Dr. Sing." She wore a welcoming smile. "What weapon do you want me to put together now."
Wordlessly, Sunshine placed the red fang flowers on the white table. "These." She began. "Are going to change everything you know about medicine. Study them carefully and see if you can come up with the best medicines in any form that you can."
Dr. Sing pushed his glasses closer to his face, studying the flowers with interest. What could they be that they would revolutionize medicine? He wondered.
"Could you at least tell us what these are?" He asked, unfurling the flower’s petals to take a glance at the treasures inside.
"The cure to the red disease and other infections to come." Sunshine answered. "This matter is more important that new weapons. If you want to know more about the red disease, find Sister Anna Warnock and her brother Carson. They will be able to tell you all about it."
Dr. Sing nodded, excitement laced in his eyes as he thought of starting a new project.
As they left Sunshine paused her steps outside the lab door and frowned at Nimo. "I heard there was a fight in the market area."
"You heard right." Nimo answered. "It was between a villager and one of the residents. Apparently, one bumped into the other and insults were exchanged."
"And what do you think about this?" Sunshine asked.
Nimo’s features tightened in hesitation. "I mean.... even children in schools fight when they are still strangers. So, it may not be as big deal for now. We will continue monitoring the situation."
Sunshine nodded and the two women got into the car. Nimo dropped her off outside her building and she went home. Her plan to was spend the rest of the day relaxing.
As she made her way into the elevator, she regretted not having set up a spa on the base. They needed a spa that could maximize relaxation without relying on water.
Now that she thought about it, Westbrook used to have a hot water spring. If she had known, they would have moved the stones inside and created their own hot water spring.
Sunshine went to the bedroom and fell on the bed. She thought the afternoon nap would come to her easily, but it evaded her. With not much to do, went into the space to find another opportunity to visit another world.
Her eyes glued to her stats, waiting to see how much they had changed.

Before she could celebrate, a sound chimed indicating another alert.
[Congratulations host. Your mission of offering advice to your clients on The Wrench Of Reason has been accomplished.
System Reward: A full-bodied construction robot.]
"A full-bodied construction robot!!" She squealed.
It appeared before her within the blink of an eye. It had four arms as big as large water tanks. It stood tall like a mountain. Every part of its body was smooth, crafted with so much care and precision.
Sunshine walked around the robot, admiring the work that had gone into it to turn into the fine towering steel tank of strength that it was.
"This thing is so huge, I cannot take it out." She said im wonder.
[It shrinks, depending on the size of the job.] The system replied.
"How do I activate it?" She asked, jumping and trying to wave her hands over its face eagerly. No matter how high she jumped. she just couldn’t seem to reach it.
[Open the small black panel on its thigh and scan your fingerprint.]
She did as told and heard a slight hissing noise. Like that made by a refrigerator when opened after a while. Its head moved and its eyes--four of them--blinked in confusion.
"Hello Foreman." It greeted as it looked down on Sunshine "I am Tank-5. I build. I smash. I repair."
She twisted her lips, suddenly figuring out why she had been gifted the hulking construction robot. If it repaired, it was something related to the repairman system.
"What else do you do?"
"I play hide and seek." Tank replied.
She looked at the size of the robot and frowned. If this was the size it maintained during the game, it had never won.
"What are your special features?" She asked. "My arms can hammer nails through space and time My toes can uproot and plant trees. My feet can create a road with one stomp. My welding torch emits sparks that light the skies and flames that melt the strongest metals.
My brain can create and project holographic construction plans that would a small galactic empire the greatest architectural marvel in existence."
Sunshine twisted her lips and raised her eyebrows. So, it liked to brag!
"Shrink to my size." She commanded.
It did as she instructed but still maintained its sleek form, four eyes and four arms.
She left the space with it, already picturing the look on Ariel’s face when he saw the robot. He would undoubtedly lose his mind.
