Chapter 642: Chapter 423: Aren’t All Men the Same
"Aren’t you worried?" Kazama Tatsuya asked.
"Worried about what?" Fushimi Roku replied.
"That woman. Based on your past personality, if you didn’t deal with her, you wouldn’t be in the mood to do anything else." Kazama Tatsuya looked him up and down. "You’ve really changed a lot, don’t seem as annoying anymore."
"I have a bit of my own life now," Fushimi Roku said.
"If only she could have met Tamako sooner," Kazama Tatsuya suddenly sighed.
Fushimi Roku knew who Kazama Tatsuya was referring to, so he didn’t take up the topic. Instead, he continued the previous conversation, "If you’re coming tonight, we’ll go out for drinks without Tamako."
If men don’t mess around, they still prefer drinking with men, the atmosphere is better.
Kazama Tatsuya’s face changed slightly, looking a bit awkward. He suddenly coughed and said, "Of course I’ll come, hmm, just at your place, no need to spend money going out."
Fushimi Roku was clever, seeing his expression he knew something was up. "What’s going on?"
Kazama Tatsuya turned his face away, "What’s going on? What do you mean?"
Fushimi Roku acted like an elementary school student, chasing after his eyes from below, "You’re bringing someone? A guy or a girl? It should be a girl, right? With Tamako’s drinking capacity, you’re still drinking at my place..."
"Just inviting former colleagues for a gathering, what’s the problem?" Kazama Tatsuya’s expression returned to normal. "It’s been a while since everyone met, just getting together, what were you thinking?"
Fushimi Roku squinted, treating his words like nonsense, "How many people?"
"Me, you, Watanabe, Tamako, Ms. Moriki..." Kazama Tatsuya paused, "Six people."
"Oh oh oh, who’s that extra person?" Fushimi Roku asked.
"My former colleague," Kazama Tatsuya reiterated.
"Fine, we’ll find out tonight." Fushimi Roku slapped the railing, turned around and left to inform Minamoto Tamako about the dinner gathering tonight.
Minamoto Tamako was ticking off completed items:
"Comfort Sakurako," done; "Arrange a decent pet funeral for Jun," done; "Sleep before ten, adjust schedule," pending; "Investigate Miyazaki Shizuka’s whereabouts," updated to "report missing if uncontactable by tomorrow"...
The rest all pending.
Minamoto Tamako put down the paper and pen, and said, "Great, I miss Sister Yalan too."
Fushimi Roku nodded and took Minamoto Tamako out, the two of them went to the market to buy ingredients and went home to prepare dinner for the guests. Kazama Tatsuya was responsible for notifying the guests and taking care of Sakurako at home.
By around nine in the evening, everyone had arrived one after another. Fushimi Roku personally cooked a table full of snacks to accompany the drinks. They all sat around the coffee table in the living room, watching TV and chatting together.
Taira Sakurako couldn’t play games, feeling quite depressed, she went back to her room to read comics alone.
"What, the boss is bringing a female companion?!"
Watanabe Shun held a can of beer in his left hand, supporting the sofa with his right hand, and asked in surprise, "Who is it? Do I know them? How’s their relationship?"
Minamoto Tamako shook her head, "I don’t know, I only heard about it from Fujimura-kun."
Moriyama Yasurou held the TV remote, leaning forward, elbows on knees, glanced aside at Kazama Tatsuya still smoking on the balcony, "Eh—so someone likes him?"
"That’s not a nice thing to say, what’s wrong with the boss?" Watanabe Shun was not convinced, defending the boss, "I think the boss is a responsible good man, you don’t see many like him these days!"
"Tch, aren’t all men the same," Moriyama Yasurou’s gaze returned to the TV screen.
Watanabe Shun was about to argue back when the doorbell of the living room suddenly rang. He jumped up from the sofa, shouting, "Coming coming! I’ll get the door right away!"
