Chapter 199: I Don’t Want to See You Lose Yourselves
It had been two years since Yvonne and Zachary officially took the marriage registration and four years since they held their wedding ceremony.
People always said that marriage was the grave of love.
But their marriage was not like that.
Instead, their life got sweeter and sweeter.
This was not only attributed to Zachary’s excellent quality of faithfulness, but also to Yvonne’s seriousness and dedication to family and their love.
After the two returned to the Lord Villa, they went gooey with each other.
Sleeping together day after day didn’t lose even a little bit of their interest in each other’s body.
On the contrary, as time went on, Zachary found himself more and more inseparable from Yvonne.
It even kept him up all night when he was on business trip occasionally and he couldn’t sleep with her.
Yvonne was a little shy at first, and eventually sank into his torrid emotions.
They spent almost all those three days with their children, having little time to stay with each other.
So once it was over, Zachary’s emotions were like the flood where floodgates were opened.
They didn’t stop till noon when the sunshine was getting brighter outside the window.
*
The phone rang.
The sound woke up Yvonne.
She answered the phone, "Hello?"
"Hi, Yvonne. This is teacher."
Yvonne was about to forget after many years, while when she heard this voice and this name, she immediately remembered that it was her class teacher when she was in Zandia University a few years ago.
Back then, she held her wedding in the junior year of college, and by that time there was basically no more classes.
Then she got married and gave birth to the kids. After that, she focused on internships in the senior year, so she rarely went to school anymore.
"Yvonne, few days ago when we sorted out the students’ archives and found that yours was still at school, so was your graduation certificate. Thus, I wonder if you could come and get them if you’re available."
It was quite official to receive the graduation certificate from university, so in principle it was not allowed to ask others to take it in place of the student himself. Even if he did so, he had to sign an agreement on the procedure.
So after Yvonne was in the coma at the time, she never went to get her diploma, which was kept at the school.
"Okay, teacher."
"Yvonne, I also want to ask if..."
"Over the years, everyone has seen your growth, particularly your Violet Hotel... So the president wants to invite you to give a lecture to your juniors. How do you think?"
*
On Friday afternoon, at Zandia University.
Yvonne came to school today to get her diploma and also, at the request of the president, to give a lecture to the juniors of Zandia University.
The time had changed a lot. Most of the students who went to school with Yvonne at that time had all graduated, and now, those juniors at school were all several grades lower.
There were a few people who were jealous of her back then, because they witnessed her transform from an underachiever to a curve wrecker. But now, these junior students studying at the school were basically all admirers of Yvonne unconditionally.
To them, Yvonne was an idol, a god, but not an object of jealousy.
There was a good saying that If you were just a little bit good, others would be jealous of you; if you were very good, others would only envy you.
When you surpass others too much, others wouldn’t even be jealous of you, much less try to hurt you, but would only worship you.
In a large auditorium which could hold 500 people.
Offstage, 500 seats were all filled with students.
...
The junior students were very excited to meet their idol, Yvonne, and the crowd was very enthusiastic.
Just then, on the stage, Yvonne made her entrance in a long dark green dress led by the host.
When she came on stage, it was like a dazzling light radiated from the stage to every corner of the auditorium!
In the students’ eyes, she already had the aura of a diva walking the red carpet and held the concert for over 10,000 people.
This aura coupled with her talent in running business, which couldn’t be described in words.
Although she was very young and gorgeous, she looked so elegant and noble that other celebrities and internet influencers couldn’t compare to her.
"Hello everyone, I’m Yvonne."
Yvonne was overwhelmed with the big applause.
...
She started with her own experiences.
After about ten minutes, the host prepared to have an interview with her.
It was basically the host asked her a question and then she answered it.
"Hi, Yvonne. The following questions are the ones these students are curious about the most. If you’re not available to answer, you can just ignore them."
"Okay."
Yvonne smiled graciously.
She would just roll with the punches.
After so many tricky interviews as a super star in her last life, these were just a piece of cake for her.
"First question."
"And this is also what they’re curious about the most. We heard that you took the first place in the subject competition in only one month back then. It’s just unbelievable! So, do you have any good advice on improving the academic performance?"
Yvonne said with her long legs folded.
"I know that many of you who are listening to me are students, and as a student, it is
the most important for you to study."
"But I don’t really have any shortcuts or good advice about improving academic performance."
"There is no end to the sea of learning, so you only have to work hard."
"I believe that you reap what you sow, and whether you’re smart or not, the only way to become the best of yourself is to keep trying to surpass the past yourself.
"I actually grow up studying well, so I could get good grades then even though I was delayed for a moment at university. As for being a curve wrecker in a month, that’s impossible. Without a solid foundation I laid when I was a child, that month’s effort simply wouldn’t have been enough to get me a first place finish.
"I didn’t study hard when I went to university and I also paid a terrible price for that. In order not being dropped from school, I put my best foot forward to prepare for the subject competition,
"I did my best that time, but to tell the truth, I was also very lucky.
"So my advice is to work hard! Because it’s hard to break through the ceiling, while it’s easy to fall through the floor."
With the words out, many students offstage nodded their heads frequently and couldn’t agree more.
Sometimes, studying was not about how much money you would make when you grew up or going to the upper class. It was hard to make it to the top, but easy to be eliminated by your peers.
We worked hard just for not falling in the brutal competition of society.
These were what Yvonne wanted to say in her heart.
Because once she got lost in her last life, she was even more eager to share her opinions with every confused teenager present.
After all, not everyone had the chance to live one more time. Only if you tried your best you would not regret it.
...
It was late in the evening when Yvonne finished her lecture.
Throughout the lecture, there was not a single student leaving the auditorium early or playing with their phones.
Everyone really enjoyed her lecture.
It was sincere, quality and grounded.
What’s more, these juniors all admired Yvonne very much and would love to be a person like her.
Finally the lecture came to an end and it was time for the students to ask questions.
A student said, "Hi, Yvonne, I heard that a long time ago, you had a nominal younger sister who used to attend Zandia University as well. Since you are so outstanding, I wonder what do your sister do right now? Is she also as excellent as you?"
What a sharp question.
The student obviously didn’t know what happened to Zoila specifically and she had only heard that Yvonne had a sister, so she was curious about it.
The host looked at Yvonne worriedly.
After all, Zoila was in jail. And there were a lot of bad deeds about her.
Zoila’s existence was a hidden story, both for Frank, who was now as strong as ever, and for the present Mrs. Leinster.
Just in this moment, Yvonne smiled openly.
"You mean Zoila, right?
"She’s indeed my nominal sister, but she’s in jail now."
When she said this, a lot of audience were shocked!
Those junior students didn’t know about the feud back then. Even for those who knew about this, many had forgotten.
Over the years, Frank and Zachary had more or less deliberately suppressed the news.
But now it had been brought up again, and the teacher was suspicious that this student was deliberately messing with things.
However, the student would be so stunned to ask, "What? How come? Why is your sister in jail?"
"Ahem - "
Anyone who remembered this event knew that Zoila went to jail and was sent there by Yvonne’s herself.
The host in charge of the lecture immediately took the microphone and prepared to take the topic over and relieve Yvonne.
But who knew that, instead of avoiding it, Yvonne said bluntly.
"I sent it in by myself."
From the podium, the elegant and dignified woman said calmly.
"Zoila has done a lot to hurt me and my family. She also broke the law. If I were to do it all over again, I would still send her to jail. Because my family is my bottom line!"
As soon as she said that, no one thought that she was acting in such a cruel and bad manner.
Instead, they felt that Yvonne was so valiant!
Some girls even stood up in excitement!
"Goddess Yvonne! I want to be a person just like you after graduation!
"Yeah! Goddess Yvonne! We bless you!
"We bless you, Yvonne!"
The applause got more intense than before and resounded throughout the whole auditorium!
Yvonne also didn’t expect that her words would actually leave a favorable impression on them.
She froze, then smiled with relief.
After graduating for a few years and showing up on this campus again, she was no longer the little girl who was talked about and chewed on. Instead, she’d been brought back as a distinguished alumni to give a lecture here!
From this moment on, she would be posted like a medal on the honor roll of Zandia University.
Now she enjoyed the highest honor of the entire university.
And those who used to hurt and plot against her in this school in the past ended up going astray - like Zoila who was in jail, or Hailey who got rested forever.
Or those nobodies who only made idle talk behind her back and couldn’t wait for her to live a bad life. Where did these people live their mediocre life in such a crowd?
