Chapter 181: Thanks for Giving Me Such a Dream

Chapter 181: Thanks for Giving Me Such a Dream

Yvonne froze.

She asked about the question she was going to ask but just murmured, "Zachary, what are you doing?"

"Haven’t seen you in a week, let me hug you." The man’s voice was a little more husky than usual, nothing else.

Yvonne turned speechless.

She felt kind of weird but she didn’t know what was that. So she just stayed in his arms.

"Are you... tired? Let me walk you upstairs to have a rest, OK?"

Zachary shook his head.

It didn’t matter if he was tired or weak.

God knew how desperate he was when Marcus Lance said that something bad would happen to her in the next few days.

Only when she stand in front of him, safe and sound, could settle him down.

He wanted nothing but to hold her tightly.

Eventually, Yvonne forced Zachary to go upstairs and rest.

In fact, he needed a break.

He’d be weak all this time.

It was only because he didn’t want her to worry that he deliberately pretended he was fine.

In order not to make Zachary stressed, Yvonne made up her mind to live a good life this time. She intended to swallow all her sorrow.

So as Zachary. He didn’t want her to worry no matter what he had done for her.

But when he fell asleep, something big happened.

Zachary didn’t know if it was because what Marcus had done, he saw her memories from her prior life in his dream!

When she first traveled back to that world, she was lonely and helpless, thinking about him and the kids everyday. Then she tried so hard to break the ice and developed feelings with the man out there. She became the queen and had misunderstandings between her love. Finally she died in regret....

Everything about her overwhelmed him!

In the dream, he saw another him.

Somehow the dream turned out to be in a place like an office.

It was exactly the same office he was in now. Zachary walked over and looked at the other him.

That would be a week after Yvonne passed away. The man in that world stayed alone in his office, heartbroken. There were full of financial statements in his computer, but he was just sitting there and staring.

"You love her too, don’t you?" In the dream, the real-life Zachary asked that "Zachary" there.

The man, sitting exhausted at his computer, looked up, indifferently.

"Who are you?"

"I’m another you." The real Zachary said.

"You must be wondering what Finn Levin meant. Why Yvonne said that she was not dying, but going home. Am I right?"

"Because she doesn’t belong there. She comes from another world, where another you, that is, me, stays together, and we have two children."

The "Zachary" in front of the computer sat quietly without speaking.

"During the year she was with you, in the other world, she fell into a persistent vegetative state. Now she woke up. So she didn’t die, she just exists in a different way."

"Thank you for telling me this." The "Zachary" in front of the computer said. "Even if it’s a dream, thanks for doing this." The real Zachary, however, shook his head. "It’s not a dream."

Perhaps it was this experience that gave the real-life Zachary a special ability, and he began to frequently contact with that "Zachary" in his subconscious.

...

As long as that "Zachary" knew Yvonne’s true identity, he wouldn’t have to grieving her anymore. So that Yvonne didn’t have to be preoccupied every day.

Zachary input the happy life with Yvonne to that "Zachary’s" head.

"See, this is what life would be like in another world, for you and Yvonne." The "Zachary" in front of the computer felt everything in his mind in silence.

It turned out that in the other world, they really did have a grand wedding that they didn’t have in this life.

They also had two adorable children, one named Angela and the other Daniel, a wonderful pair of twins.

In that world, Yvonne was in good health.

Although she was supposed to die soon, Zachary of that world was also very kind to her and risked his life to save her.

Fortunately, it all worked out.

For the next few days, Zachary kept in touch with that "Zachary" in the dream.

That’s why, in that world, after Yvonne’s death, that "Zachary" would slowly pick himself up later.

For he knew that Yvonne was not dead in the traditional sense, but was with him in a different way.

Suddenly one day, the real Zachary had another dream.

He dreamed that the "Zachary" smiled and said that he had decided to move on.

He decided to adopt a child, determined to be a good father and a good entrepreneur.

And thanked him for letting Yvonne give him a year of happiness.

He would have probably died under the sea.

Because of this Yvonne, he changed his life and had a happy marriage for one year.

It had only been a year, but he would remember it for his lifetime.

The "Zachary" from the other side said he let it go, "I’ll live a good life with her love. I hope you can take care of her... in the other side."

"I will." The real one replied.

"I won’t show up in your dreams anymore." That man said.

"Tell her for me that don’t miss me, live her life."

Then he faded away.

In the light, the "Zachary" smiled, and then, gradually turned into a blur of light and shadow, until it finally disappeared.

Real life.

For several days, Zachary went to bed as soon as he came home. He seldom talked to Yvonne.

In the bedroom, Yvonne stared at his face.

"What’s up with this man? Why is so sleepy these days? He’s not indulging in sex for a week and now exhausted, isn’t he?"

Zachary vaguely heard Yvonne’s murmurs.

He wanted to retort, only finding that using subconscious to communicate another him was so draining.

He was awake just for a few seconds and soon passed out again.

Yvonne didn’t notice the difference and became angry.

The guy had been gone for a week without a word and now slept every day when he came back from work. She felt strongly that she was ignored!

At that moment, she heard Zachary’s cell phone rang.

It was like opening Pandora’s Box.

Yvonne couldn’t help but take a look, only to catch a glimpse of the message alert on the screen! She raged!

"Mr. Leinster, the pillows in the office are not very suitable for summer, it’s a bit hot, do you need to change them?"

At the end, another "shy" emoji was sent.

Yvonne took a look at the sender, Jessica, that was obvious a female secretary’s name. She was furious!

That was the pillows she picked for him! Zachary said she liked Hello Kitty, he changed them all from the time she studied in Zandia University, when she started to have lessons at his place!

This woman, how dared she change her privilege in his office! Where did that confidence come from?!

This man, he’s not really cheating on her out there, was he?

No, no, she had to stay calm.

To calm herself down, Yvonne hurried to the bathroom to have a cold shower.

When she came out, however, she was astounded!

"Zachary! Zachary! What happened?!"

"Somebody call 911!!!"

...

Only to see that the man, whose nose was bleeding, turned pale!

Yvonne was so frightened that she forgot her doubts and anger just now, and she rushed up to call him, but found that she couldn’t wake him up no matter how she screamed.

Yvonne immediately called 911.

In the hospital.

"Luckily it was not too late. Although it is not urgent, it could be dangerous later." said the doctor.

"Doctor, what’s wrong with my husband?" Yvonne asked.

"In short, Mr. Leinster lost too much blood days before and has been overworked these past few days. The heart was exhausted, which led to the current condition."

"Blood loss?"

Yvonne was puzzled.

Hadn’t Zachary been in the mountains all this time?

How could him lose too much blood?

...

After Zachary’s condition stabilized, Yvonne called for Mr. King.

Hospital corridor.

The woman was dressed in a dry black casual outfit, she looked at Mr. King with a burning gaze and said, "Mr. King, where exactly did Zachary go and what did he do a week before? Explain honestly to me."

"Ah..." King answered, "Didn’t Mr. Leinster tell you?"

Yvonne frowned, ’’You said before that he would explain to me personally. During this period of time, I saw that he was very busy and tired every day, so I didn’t ask. What exactly happened? Tell me."

So, King told Yvonne the whole story.

As for what exactly Marcus Lance had used, King didn’t know.

"Anyway, he was in a coma for three whole days at Church of St. Marcus, and his condition was not good for a few days after that.... Sorry, madam, Mr. Leinster was also afraid of you worrying, so he didn’t let me tell you."

Yvonne was filled with guilt when she heard this.

"How could you guys not tell me about something so important? And if anything happens to him, what should I do?"

Especially when she learned that Zachary was doing this to save her, she felt even worse.

What was she doing while he was risking his life for her? She was suspecting him of hooking up with another woman!

Yvonne really wanted to slap herself.

Just then, however, a woman came hurrying down the hallway.

The woman was dressed like an office lady. Although it was a suit, her body was hot.

Yvonne frowned, seeing the name tag on her chest that red Jessica Lester.

"Mr. King, is Mr. Leinster okay?"

Jessica ran over and first asked Mr. King with a worried face.

Later she looked at Yvonne, she was shocked and then hesitated, "Who...?"

"This is Mrs. Leinster." Mr. King introduced.

Yvonne looked at the woman in front of her and smiled as she narrowed her eyes.

It was her last night, sending that kind of text to Zachary.

"Hi." Yvonne said.

"Hello." Jessica bent down, then reached out her hand, "I’m Jessica Lester."

Yvonne smiled without shaking her hand. She ignored her and asked King.

"Mr. King, has Zachary been sleeping at the office a lot lately?"

"Rarely, in the past Mr. Leinster would rarely nap unless he was taking an international flight to take a break, or when you are there occasionally madam... other times Mr. Leinster basically didn’t sleep."

"Did he say the office quilt was too thick?"

"This..." King was slightly embarrassed. He knew what she meant and answered, "I don’t know whether it is thick for Mr. Leinster... He won’t tell me about such things. Besides, it’s not what I should care about..."
