Chapter 146: 144, Going to the Capital City again! Luofeng is going to do something big

"Brother Luofeng, I’ve arranged Mister Thirteen Bar for you, a place to freshen up after your journey."

At Capital City’s airport, Luofeng reunited with Chen Dali and Lin Xiaoyun.

"Is everything properly arranged this time?" Luofeng didn’t hold back and asked directly.

"Hahaha, don’t worry, this time they’re all guys. And no fakes," Chen Dali said with a laugh.

"Brother Feng, you’re not bringing Miss Ferrari this time, are you?" Lin Xiaoyun asked.

"No need."

Luofeng shook his head. He hadn’t even told Duanmu Yunji that he was in Capital City. Luofeng planned to visit the music academy when he had time later to give her a surprise.

Soon, the group arrived at the bar. Chen Dali and Luofeng sat in the middle; one was the guest, the other, the host.

"Bro, I’ll toast to you. Everything is understood without saying a word."

"You’re too kind, too kind."

Luofeng raised his glass and clinked it with Chen Dali’s, then downed it in one gulp.

Luofeng looked around at his friends; they were all the same guys from the last racing meet-up: An Peng, Duanmu Feng, Li Mu, and the rest.

"You guys aren’t thinking of challenging me again, are you?" Luofeng took the initiative to ask.

"Haha, Brother Feng, spare us!"

"You’re too much for us, really! Our mistake for even thinking about it."

Upon hearing this, they all immediately waved their hands. As expected, they had been thoroughly intimidated after just one encounter and didn’t dare to challenge Luofeng anymore.

"Bring it on! You think I’m scared?" Li Mu, a guy who couldn’t hold his liquor well, was always the type to pretend to be awesome.

"Oh, give it a rest. You weren’t much help on our side last time," Lin Xiaoyun retorted without hesitation.

"Lin Xiaoyun, what makes you think you can criticize me?" Li Mu shot back just as sharply. "If it were someone else, I might understand, but you? Just drop it."

"Alright, let’s just drink casually today. The main thing is to welcome my bro," Chen Dali said to Zhang Shunyong, who was sitting beside him. "Xiaoyong, arrange for some of the atmosphere team, and make sure you do a good job!"

Zhang Shunyong quickly replied, "Sure, no problem."

A moment later, a bevy of charming young women, some slender, some curvaceous, approached.

Chen Dali politely said, "Bro, you pick first."

Luofeng glanced over. He saw rows of fair, long legs, and their attire was quite revealing. Still, he waved his hand. "Brother Dali, you’re the host. You should pick first."

The crowd started egging Chen Dali on to choose first. Such was the privilege of being the host.

Chen Dali rubbed his nose but still picked one. Luofeng, wanting to fit in, also chose one. After all, they were just the "atmosphere team." It wasn’t like they were choosing partners for pool or bumper cars, so it didn’t really matter.

With the addition of the atmosphere team, everyone started chatting about various interesting things.

"Brother Xiaoyun, have you found a suitable Porsche 718 yet?" Luofeng casually asked.

"Not yet!"

Seeing this, Chen Dali chimed in, "He’s been quite unlucky. He’d find a car with a configuration he liked, but the condition would be bad. Or the condition would be good, but he wouldn’t like the configuration. When he finally found one with good condition and a configuration he liked, the price was almost as much as a new car."

"Hahaha, just a bit of bad luck," Luofeng laughed.

"Yeah, my luck has been really bad," Lin Xiaoyun said helplessly.

"Is his family that harsh on him?" An Peng asked.

"He wrecked two sports cars in a month, valued at a total of seven million. If I were his dad, I’d harden my heart too," Duanmu Feng said, apparently knowing some of the details.

Lin Xiaoyun pouted, looking thoroughly dejected. If it weren’t for those incidents, he wouldn’t be in such a miserable situation.

"With skills like that, I have to ask, how did you even pass your driving test?" Luofeng teased with a laugh.

"It was all accidental," Lin Xiaoyun defended. "The first time, another car crashed into me. My three-million Aston Martin was mistaken for a Ford Mondeo! The driver was trying to dodge a Mercedes Benz and came straight at me. At night, their logos do look somewhat similar."

Luofeng laughed heartily. "So, did the driver of the other car cry afterward?"

"The other party had three million in commercial insurance, and it was the kind with no deductible, can you believe it?" Lin Xiaoyun made his complaint. "He made one call to the insurance company and then just left. I was the one left crying."

"For my second car, learning from my first experience, I went straight for a Porsche 911GT. All in, it cost four million. With that massive spoiler, it just screamed ’expensive,’ didn’t it?"

"But tragedy struck again."

"An Audi RS7 was on the highway, and we sort of raced. It was the middle of the night, and I couldn’t resist, so we really went for it."

"So, what did you hit?" Luofeng asked.

"That driver swerved to avoid a stray dog and then veered right into me, racking up a repair bill of two million."

Luofeng almost stopped laughing. Does this guy have some kind of vendetta against sports cars or something?

Luofeng chuckled, "With your luck, I suggest you just buy an ordinary car. Buying a supercar only to crash it every time—who can handle that?"

"One time, he was driving my car and managed to ram it into a roadside flowerbed! Can you believe how frustrating that was?" Chen Dali chimed in.

"’That time, I was trying to avoid what they call a ’ghost head pop-out’ on the road, alright?" Lin Xiaoyun said helplessly.

What was a ’ghost head pop-out’? It simply meant a pedestrian suddenly appearing and crossing the road.

At Booth Number Three, everyone was gleefully exposing each other’s embarrassing moments. But this didn’t spoil the mood; in fact, everyone was quite happy.

An Peng said, "You all know about Lin Xiaoyun’s car accidents, but I know something even funnier."

"Oh?" Luofeng looked curiously at the tanned An Peng.

"Brother Peng, Brother Peng, I’m begging you," Lin Xiaoyun immediately pleaded.

"One time, Lin Xiaoyun and I were out getting skewers..."

"Daddy Peng, please, I’m begging you, okay?" Lin Xiaoyun cried out.

"Calling me your ancestor wouldn’t help. Did you forget how you posted about my nine-game losing streak in League of Legends on your Moments Circle?"

"Damn it! Wasn’t it you, you punk, who said you’d carry me? In my damn placement matches, I lost nine out of ten! Can’t I even make a complaint on my Moments Circle? Don’t you dare bring that up!"

Luofeng burst into laughter. An ally with a nine-game losing streak? Could they even still sit and drink together? If it were him, Luofeng, he’d have flipped the table and yelled, ’Screw this!’

"You guys play Canyon too?"

"Yeah," An Peng nodded. "Master rank on server one. You can check my record."

"Check your own damn record, you punk!" Lin Xiaoyun complained. "Last time, you deliberately threw ten games for me! In one of them, you just couldn’t keep up the act anymore, could you? Everyone else was soaring, and you were the only one feeding!"

"It was an accident; I really wasn’t throwing. In a five-person game, what use is one person throwing?"

"So one person throwing has no effect, huh?" Lin Xiaoyun shot back. "Then if I’m so bad, why can’t I ever rank up?"

An Peng had no comeback to that.

"Forget it. Should I just continue with my good story?" An Peng went on.
