Capítulo 1614: Chapter 1614: Miu Miu Likes to Eat Meat
Charles Mcintosh had no choice but to withdraw his hand and stop touching Miu Miu’s clothes.
After a while, Lilac Serval resumed her previous actions, bowing her head and earnestly trying on clothes for Miu Miu.
There were plenty of clothes in the box, but not many that truly satisfied Lilac Serval.
She pouted, reluctantly choosing a relatively satisfactory blue sweater to put on Miu Miu.
“If it’s not enough, I’ll go buy you more this afternoon,” Charles Mcintosh seemed to have guessed her thoughts.
Lilac Serval said nothing.
Charles Mcintosh knew she wanted it.
When he first met her at the training grounds as a child, she called him “Brother Charles,” and he bought her a rag doll.
That was her first toy, and she treasured it dearly.
Besides that, no one else had bought her any toys.
Now, Lilac Serval was bowing her head, seemingly very fond of this ragdoll cat.
She pressed Miu Miu’s belly and smiled, asking, “What are we having for lunch today?”
Miu Miu’s cute electronic voice replied, “Something tasty.”
Lilac Serval giggled, quite pleased, and couldn’t help asking, “What is the most delicious?”
“Miu Miu likes to eat meat.”
Lilac Serval laughed even harder.
How could there be such a delightful little thing?
Charles Mcintosh reached out and pressed Miu Miu’s little tail, and Miu Miu immediately chirped joyfully, “I like you, I like you, I like you…”
The cheerful voice filled the entire hospital room, and even the air was brimming with merriment.
Even Charles Mcintosh, who always had a stern face, let a smile appear on his lips, with a bright laugh in his eyes, and a sparkle in them.
Miu Miu was small, just the right size to hold in one’s arms.
Charles Mcintosh looked at the ragdoll cat and remarked lightly, “It seems like a little child.”
Lilac Serval didn’t deny it. She held the ragdoll cat, as happy as a child herself.
Her long, soft hair hung down, though dry and dull, her face now appeared lively, no longer with the sickly look as when she had just woken up.
Charles Mcintosh knew she had always been rather stubborn, never showing her most vulnerable side to anyone, but this time, she wasn’t pretending to be strong anymore.
Just then, the doorbell of the hospital room rang.
“Come in,” Charles Mcintosh said.
Standing outside was Jasmine Yale.
Jasmine Yale had brought Lilac Serval a basket of fruit and some appetizing snacks.
“I heard you had a fever,” Jasmine Yale set things down and walked over to the bedside.
“It’s nothing, I caught a cold with the changing weather,” Lilac Serval smiled, “Sorry to trouble you to come by.”
“Sylvan had some business here, so I came with him, he’ll be here in a while,” Jasmine Yale smiled, her dimples sweet when she did.
“It really isn’t any trouble for you, I’m fine,” Lilac Serval glanced at Charles Mcintosh, knowing it was probably his doing.
She was always reluctant to trouble others.
“You should rest well, leave anything to Mr. Mcintosh, he’ll handle it,” Jasmine Yale said.
Lilac Serval nodded, in front of others, she wouldn’t refuse Charles Mcintosh’s goodwill.
“This cat is so cute,” Jasmine Yale pointed at the ragdoll cat in Lilac Serval’s hands.
Lilac Serval smiled, “Does it remind you of Sweet Kitty?”
“Yeah, a little,” Jasmine Yale replied.
“That little cat was so cute,” Lilac Serval said.
“Not now, it’s gotten fat, really fat,” Jasmine Yale opened her phone, “Let me show you a photo.”
When women chat, men often have no place. Charles Mcintosh tenderly glanced at Lilac Serval, then went to the sink to wash an apple.
After washing it, he stood silently peeling the apple, leaving them to their conversation without interruption.
From time to time, laughter and chat could be heard in the hospital room.
