Chapter 1562: Chapter 1562: Playing with Women in a Variety of Ways
“I feel a bit uncomfortable.” Joan Harry caught the whiff of perfume on her, and felt even more uneasy.
The room originally carried the subtle aroma of lavender essential oil, but the moment this woman entered, it was overpowered by the heavy scent of her perfume.
“Aren’t you even a little bit curious about the race results? Aren’t you excited?”
“Excited about what?” Joan Harry asked in surprise, unable to quite follow the logic of this stranger.
She had no interest in Jesse Rowan or car racing, and even less interest in the results.
“Don’t you think these games are thrilling, fun? It’s my first time playing, so I wanted to hear your thoughts. If Mr. Rowan wins, I’m rather looking forward to it.”
“I didn’t participate, so I’m not interested,” Joan replied indifferently. “Who wins or loses has nothing to do with me.”
“Nothing to do with you? How so? You’re the woman Mr. Rowan brought along, and I’m the one Mr. Pierson brought along. If Mr. Rowan wins, I have to spend the night with him. If Mr. Pierson wins, you have to spend the night with him. How is it unrelated to you? Don’t tell me you don’t even know the rules of the game?”
The woman, introducing herself as Cici, stared at her in disbelief, as if adamant that Joan was just pretending.
Really now.
They’re all here for the money; what’s the point of putting on a façade?
Does she even know the rules? How did she even end up here?
As Cici’s sharp words rang out, Joan froze, her eyes reflectively splitting like shards of glass.
Shock, disbelief, fury…
A game? One-night stands?
Ha… she suddenly understood.
Joan Harry wasn’t naïve. Though she’d never participated in these games while abroad, she’d certainly heard of them.
The debauchery of the wealthy second generation knew no bounds, and the ways they played with women were endless.
She never thought there would come a day when she’d be caught up in it, reduced to nothing more than a pawn in their games.
Her eyes were wide with astonishment!
“Mr. Pierson brought me along and offered me two hundred thousand for the night. What about Mr. Rowan? Did he offer you a higher price? I’ve heard people say Mr. Rowan is quite generous, famous for it in this circle.” Cici’s face was full of expectation. “If Mr. Rowan wins, I’m looking forward to it. Sis, tell me, what does Mr. Rowan like in bed?”
The words, openly shameless as they were, flowed effortlessly from Cici, as though there was nothing disgraceful about them.
After all, anyone who joined such games wouldn’t bother feigning propriety.
Wasn’t it all about the money anyway?
To be honest, if she ended up with Mr. Rowan, it’d definitely be better than being with Mr. Pierson, Cici mused silently.
Joan Harry still hadn’t recovered from her shock. Her face had turned pale, white as a sheet.
Ever since she was brought back to Koi Garden by Jesse Rowan, ever since he started handing money to the Harry Family, she already knew she was nothing but his plaything.
But what she didn’t know was how Jesse Rowan could push her bottom line again and again.
A plaything of his, not just for one man’s amusement, but for an entire group’s.
Joan leaned against the wall, her legs weak and unsteady, struggling to remain upright.
Her fingers dug into the wall, nails nearly bending to the point of breaking.
“Sis, you really don’t seem all that interested in this game, huh? I think it’s pretty amusing. Why don’t we have a chat? Mind if I come in and sit for a bit?” Cici’s face lit with genuine excitement.
“I mind.”
“You—!”
“I have things to do. Can you leave now?” Joan didn’t want to smell her perfume any longer, nor did she want to hear another word from her.
“Why don’t we go to the viewing stands together? It got cold, so I came back to the hotel first. I watched the first two rounds, though. Mr. Rowan won one, and Mr. Pierson won the other. So, there has to be one more round to decide the winner.”
