Chapter 582: Chapter 669: See, They Stopped Crying

Shen Cheng knitted her brows, turned over to get up, and prepared to lie down next to the two little treasures, but Shi Yu’s warning glare swept over her, "Don’t move."

Although Shen Cheng felt displeased, her body obediently didn’t make any further movements.

Shi Yu flipped over the two children and climbed onto the bed, looming over Shen Cheng like a hunting leopard, "Now, let’s talk."

The surge of hormones emanating from him made Shen Cheng feel somewhat dizzy and breathless, causing her body to tremble uncontrollably, yet she still managed to forcefully ask: "Talk about what?"

"About our harmonious life," Shi Yu said with a meaningful glance shifting from her face down to her neck and then further down, "Too harmonious, so it’s not suitable to sleep with the children."

Shen Cheng’s eyes shifted, and she took the initiative to loop her arm around Shi Yu’s neck, "We’ve already discussed this issue, and tonight, I’ve already brought them over. It’s impossible for me to send them back to the nursery now."

Shi Yu’s sword eyebrows rose, and his eyes dangerously narrowed. Just as he opened his mouth to say something, Shen Cheng placed her finger on his lips, silencing his words, "Otherwise, I’ll just give up that jewelry design company."

Their gazes collided, neither willing to back down. In the end, Shi Yu let out a light chuckle, "Fine, let them sleep together."

But he was going to make her carry these two little rascals out herself.

Shen Cheng noticed the quick flash of cunning in his eyes, realizing what he was up to, but before she could open her mouth to speak, Shi Yu leaned down and kissed her, swallowing all her words into his stomach.

The two little treasures were perhaps tired from playing; Xiao Ao Jue stopped clutching Little Tian Jue’s hand, his head turning left and right, seeing nothing, which made his little mouth quiver and he burst into tears.

Little Tian Jue was happily munching on his own hand when the crying startled him so much that he shuddered and started crying as well.

"Wah!"

"Wah..."

The cry of one baby was already earth-shaking, let alone when two cried together, making it impossible to ignore.

Shi Yu felt a string in his head snap, rising in annoyance, he looked over at the two little demons crying their lungs out, his sword eyebrows furiously raised, and he eventually turned over and lay down beside them.

Even the always decisive him had his moments of helplessness.

Shen Cheng looked at Shi Yu and then the two little treasures, unable to hold back her laughter. She lay on the bed, propped up by her hands under her chin, enjoying this rare scene.

She had no intention to soothe the two crying babies. Unable to take it any longer after lying down for a while, Shi Yu sat up and gently lifted Xiao Ao Jue and Little Tian Jue into his arms, cradling one in each arm.

His movements were stiff and robotic when holding the children, his slightly furrowed brows betraying some irritation.

"You have to rock them. They’ll stop crying if you do," Shen Cheng said, suppressing laughter, showing him how to comfort them.

Shi Yu glanced sideways, giving Shen Cheng a faint look, didn’t say a word, but started swaying his arms.

The children, initially bawling their eyes out, actually began to calm down as he rocked them.

Shen Cheng pursed her lips, her eyes smiling, "See, they’ve stopped crying."

The children were still young, without an internal biological clock, hence their sleep wasn’t fixed to a particular time, usually during the day, and they tended to be more active at night.
