Chapter 278: Chapter 277: Beat You, You Little Bastard
Zhang Xin froze, lifting her eyes to watch the gradual change in Zhang Zhao’s expression. She had never imagined that Zhang Zhao would dare to resist her, nor had she thought that Zhang Zhao could resist her.
Zhang Zhao’s chest heaved violently, his eyes turning red. He grabbed Zhang Xin’s hand and pulled it down from the air, twisting her arm forcefully.
Zhang Zhao stepped back, his gaze resting on Zhang Xin’s face, looking at her with an incomparable longing and cherishing.
Zhang Zhao’s thin lips curled into a mocking smile: "Sister, I’ve grown up. I’m no longer the cowardly and useless weakling I used to be."
As Zhang Zhao spoke, he suddenly pulled Zhang Xin toward his embrace, simultaneously clamping her waist with his large hands, trapping her between his body and the wall, unable to move.
Zhang Xin widened her eyes, throwing a punch at him. Zhang Zhao grabbed her wrist and pinned it against the wall, chuckling softly, "Sister, you met with Teng Jiye, right? What did he tell you? Did he say I have your video? What else did he say?"
Zhang Xin struggled desperately to break free, but she hadn’t expected Zhang Zhao to be so strong. After trying twice, she knew clearly that unless Zhang Zhao let go, she had no chance of freeing herself.
In truth, Zhang Xin didn’t think Zhang Zhao would dare do anything to her deep down, but the current position of the two was inexplicably strange, making her extremely uncomfortable.
Zhang Xin said harshly, "Zhang Zhao, you really have guts now, daring to lay hands on me! Hurry up and let me go!"
Zhang Zhao suddenly leaned close to her ear, his voice gentle enough to melt water. He whispered, "Sister, I didn’t mean to hurt you. I’ve told you long ago, none of those men are good. No one can truly love you. Why don’t you believe me?"
Zhang Xin’s face turned beet red, Zhang Zhao’s lips brushed her earlobe intentionally or unintentionally, blowing warm air against her ear. Zhang Xin felt creepy inside, thinking Zhang Zhao was way off, instinctively calling for help: "Dad!"
No sooner had she started to shout than Zhang Zhao covered her mouth, shushing her, saying, "Sister, didn’t you want to talk with me alone? Why call dad?"
Zhang Xin struggled hard twice again, but Zhang Zhao pinned her directly, pressing her firmly against the wall with his body. Zhang Zhao said, "You can’t escape. Stop moving, I don’t want to hurt you."
Zhang Xin really couldn’t stand the position and the eerie atmosphere that made her hair stand on end. Every cell in her body was on strike like a revolution, she desperately moaned trying to call for help.
Zhang Zhao tightly covered her mouth, pressing her forcefully to stop her struggling until Zhang Xin was exhausted, and he slowly relaxed his grip.
Zhang Zhao bent down, almost lying on top of Zhang Xin, the two facing each other, Zhang Zhao quietly gazed at Zhang Xin.
Zhang Zhao’s careful scrutiny made Zhang Xin feel a sudden sense of strangeness, but she couldn’t identify it. She didn’t know what was going on with Zhang Zhao.
But she quickly understood, as Zhang Zhao said, "Sister, you know, I’ve always been particularly envious of you, thinking you’re especially beautiful and always have many people who like you. I’ve always wondered why you are so adored, but I can’t be. So I’ve always been secretly observing you."
Zhang Zhao gazed absently at Zhang Xin’s face, saying, "Sister, you’re truly beautiful, you know that? You’re really, especially beautiful. I’ve never seen anyone more beautiful than you. So I later realized that I like you, especially like you, more than anyone else."
Zhang Xin felt as though she was hit by a high voltage shock, making her entire body momentarily freeze like a piece of wood.
Zhang Xin glared at Zhang Zhao with a terribly ugly expression, her eyes nearly bulging out. She couldn’t speak, only able to use her eyes to express her myriad angry and berserk emotions. She wished she could pry open Zhang Zhao’s head to see what he was thinking, or what entity had taken over Zhang Zhao’s body, coming to earth for what purpose?
Finally, all these increasingly furious feelings twisted and mashed into a frenzy, she decided she must beat Zhang Zhao to death, that little brat!!
Zhang Zhao licked his lips unknowingly out of excitement or some other reason, he said in a trembling voice, "Sister, you know, in this world, no one will love you more than I do."
Zhang Zhao knew that this time he was truly burning bridges. If Qu Chaozong hadn’t appeared, he would have endured it longer, silently guarding Zhang Xin’s side, accompanying her, protecting her.
He more than once had thought that in the future, he would be good to Zhang Xin, listening to her in everything, making her happy, letting her rejoice. Sooner or later, one day Zhang Xin would be moved and willing to be with him.
But Qu Chaozong’s appearance was like a smith wielding a heavy hammer, vigorously and continuously shattering his fantasies, all his hopes falling apart.
Zhang Zhao felt truly pushed to the limit, unable to watch Zhang Xin leave him to live happily with another man, enjoying a blissful life he longed for.
Zhang Xin was exploding listening to Zhang Zhao’s repeated confessions, wishing to curse him with the most vicious and harmful words to wake this obsessed little brat. Zhang Xin was so angry her face turned green, her body uncontrollably quivered, about to go mad!
Zhang Xin glared fiercely at Zhang Zhao, struggling with all her might, Zhang Zhao tightly restrained her, yet clearly flustered. After all, he was just a high schooler, not yet fully mature and steady in thought, impulsive behavior leading to a rush of confusion and suppressed nervous fear.
He was afraid Zhang Xin would never talk to him again, also afraid of others discovering this near-perverted affection.
Zhang Zhao could only firmly subdue Zhang Xin, momentarily unsure of what to do.
As the two stared at each other, suddenly Mr. Zhang’s voice came from outside the bedroom door: "What are you doing! Get out here, quick!"
Zhang Zhao suddenly stiffened, instinctively turning his head to look at the casually closed but unlocked door.
Zhang Xin seized the moment Zhang Zhao was distracted, suddenly raising her leg to kick Zhang Xiaozhao hard. Zhang Zhao grunted, tears streaming from the pain, staggering back two steps, Zhang Xin chased him, raising her hand to fiercely slap him, grabbed him by the collar, swinging her fists to beat him blindly.
Just as Zhang Xin was single-handedly pummeling Zhang Zhao, lost in her furious assault, Mr. Zhang pushed open the bedroom door.
Mr. Zhang froze for a few seconds before angrily yelling, "Zhang Xin! Are you crazy? He’s your brother!"
