Chapter 250: Chapter 249: Falling Ill and Being Hospitalized (1)
In front of Liu Xiue, Shi Yang didn’t play games and revealed his true intentions.
He didn’t think about immediately selling the Naughty Castle; his target was the sales peak during the Labor Day holiday, which was enticing.
Buyers genuinely interested in acquiring the Naughty Castle are likely still observing, as unloading such a large business is not an easy task.
After listening to Shi Yang’s words, Liu Xiue couldn’t help but ask with concern, "What do you plan to do about raising money?"
Shi Yang said, "I’ve already paid off the loan I took against my house to open the maternity store. I’m planning to go through the paperwork soon and get some bank loans, starting by leasing the storefront in West District in the provincial capital."
After hearing this, Liu Xiue nodded, feeling much more at ease.
Looking at Shi Yang lying in front of the cashier, she suddenly realized, unknowingly, he had grown so much.
Liu Xiue couldn’t help but reach out and touch Shi Yang’s head, affectionately remarking, "Wow, you’ve grown so much. In my memory, you still seem like that young lad carrying a backpack and wearing a school uniform."
Shi Yang felt warmth in his heart and smiled, "In your eyes, I’m always just a kid."
Liu Xiue laughed, nodding in agreement, "Yes, you’re indeed still that kid."
Just as Shi Yang was about to ask Liu Xiue about burning paper for the Qingming Festival and whether Meimei needed to come home, Liu Xiue suddenly looked behind him and greeted with a smile, "Oh my, little Liu? How come you’re here by yourself today? Where’s your baby?"
Shi Yang turned to look and was momentarily stunned, quickly recognizing the person as the parent whose child had broken an arm in the Naughty Castle. He hurriedly greeted, "Mr. Liu, long time no see, how have you been lately?"
Liu Cheng didn’t expect to see Shi Yang here and was quite surprised, stepping forward with a smile, "I was planning to come over and ask before calling you."
Shi Yang asked, "Anything you need from me?"
Liu Cheng smiled slightly, "I heard you’re planning to sell, so I came to inquire. Oh, since you’re here, do you have some time? How about we find a place to eat and chat?"
Shi Yang gladly accepted, "Sure."
Liu Cheng took Shi Yang to Four Seas Banquet. Both drove there, with Shi Yang leisurely following behind Liu Cheng’s car. He received a call from Qu Chaozong halfway along.
With his earphones on, Shi Yang was just about to greet when Qu Chaozong’s thunderous roar shocked him, making him shiver.
"Shi Yang, are you crazy? How dare you think of opening two more branches simultaneously? Where’s the money coming from? Robbing a bank?"
Shi Yang just laughed, "No need for a bank robbery, someone just came up offering to give me money."
Qu Chaozong paused: "There’s someone that stupid? Are you driving? Where are you headed?"
Shi Yang squinted, sporting a sly smile, "Going to dine with the fool."
Qu Chaozong: "..."
Liu Cheng is considered a typical second-generation rich kid. His father had previously opened a factory in the south and, during its most profitable time, contracted it out, then returned home with a hefty sum to enjoy life.
The old man had quite a keen eye and, upon returning home, directed Liu Cheng to join a franchise of a branded milk tea shop. The business was small, not taxing, yet quite profitable. At least Liu Cheng and his wife weren’t left idle and worrying about survival.
Liu Cheng took an interest in the Naughty Castle business because he was contemplating a change. In recent years, milk tea shops had blossomed everywhere, and the business was no longer as profitable as before. Yet, the Naughty Castle was still a new venture for the city, with large investments and little competition. By securing a prime spot in the city center, one could almost monopolize the market.
Liu Cheng is a humorous and witty person. After enjoying the meal, the two had a great conversation until Shi Yang formally listed his almost harsh demands, which made Liu Cheng’s smile freeze a bit.
Liu Cheng said, "Setting aside the price, the membership cards alone are not easy to manage. The customers on your contract would seamlessly transfer to us, meaning we’d have nearly a year to consume these resources without cash coming in. If they were monetized, the price would be considerable!"
Shi Yang smiled slightly, "Our annual card is based on usage frequency. Truly, if calculated diligently, the membership cards we sold will certainly run out before the year ends. Knowing this, I haven’t planned to sell immediately. You managed to find out about my desire to sell, so you should have some understanding of why I haven’t publicly accepted offers."
Upon hearing this, Liu Cheng’s expression eased a bit. Shi Yang continued, "I plan to sell in mid-May. This would allow the buyer to see the cash income during our regular peak season after excluding membership card sales, and they could conveniently take over the business right before Children’s Day and the two-month summer peak."
Liu Cheng smiled in relief and raised his glass to Shi Yang, "If that’s the case, I’ll think about it. If feasible, come mid-May, I’ll buy it directly."
Shi Yang smiled without directly agreeing, keeping some leeway for himself while applying unspoken pressure on Liu Cheng.
Coming out from the restaurant, Shi Yang packed a serving of sweet and sour fish, drove home for a quick shower, and got online to review the specifics of the summer merchandise order meeting sent by Mu Guangping from headquarters. Just as the files were transferred over and he was about to open them, his phone chimed with a message from Zhao Meimei.
"Brother, my head hurts, and I feel a bit nauseous. Hurry up and pick me up."
Shi Yang panicked, quickly dressing, and rushed to the tutoring class.
After messaging Shi Yang, Zhao Meimei slumped weakly onto the desk, feeling she was about to collapse.
She had eaten a portion of braised pork rice for lunch and then started vomiting and diarrhea, struggling to endure. Ultimately, she couldn’t hold on any longer and reached out to Shi Yang for help.
Shi Yang quickly arrived, helped ask the teacher for leave, and if it weren’t for the many classmates around, he would have directly carried Zhao Meimei out.
Shi Yang carried Zhao Meimei’s backpack, leading her out of the tutoring class door. Just stepping out, Zhao Meimei leaned against Shi Yang and whined softly, "Quick, brother, I need to go to the bathroom!"
Upon hearing, Shi Yang quickly crouched with his back to Zhao Meimei, carrying her in a rush back home.
After using the bathroom, Zhao Meimei emerged weakly, her face pale, "Brother, am I dying?"
Shi Yang felt heartbroken and quickly dressed her in a down jacket, grabbed his wallet, phone, and car keys, and carried Zhao Meimei again, "Let’s go, I’ll take you to the hospital."
