Chapter 215: Chapter 114 Addiction (1)
The final exams are coming up soon, and Zhao Meimei is buried in a sea of problems from morning to night, bravely battling away. Shi Yang is equally busy, with the membership card promotion at Naughty Castle receiving unprecedented support. The discounts are significant, and parents, calculating their kids’ weekly visits, are mostly buying annual cards, with some even buying multiple annual cards at once.
Deposits in Shi Yang’s account are growing at a visibly fast pace. He has completely handed over the mall side of things to Liu Xiue, while he himself rushes around different kindergartens daily, collecting cash from the principals and distributing the membership cards and commissions to the kindergartens.
Because the amounts collected from the kindergartens are large, Shi Yang can only go to the bank after visiting two kindergartens, so after several days his legs are almost worn thin.
No matter how busy and tired they are during the day, as soon as they get home at night, Zhao Meimei and Shi Yang immediately shake off all fatigue, full of energy, embracing and kissing each other, completely indulged and enraptured in their intimacies.
Shi Yang is at an age with a very high demand, and Zhao Meimei is also at a youthful and impatient age. Since they unintentionally opened this seemingly heavenly door, the two of them, as if having tasted forbidden fruit, can’t help but take another bite.
Except for not going all the way, they’ve tried all kinds of things. Shi Yang has implemented all the "theoretical knowledge" he accumulated over the years online on Zhao Meimei.
Once, in the heat of the moment, Shi Yang couldn’t control himself and at the last moment, bit down on Zhao Meimei’s neck, leaving a deep mark.
Both were exhausted at the time, and neither noticed. When morning came, they hurriedly got up for school. During the break, Zhang Zhao looked at Zhao Meimei with a suggestive grin, "Does your family raise mosquitoes professionally?"
Zhao Meimei didn’t understand and cluelessly asked, "What do you mean?"
Zhang Zhao pointed to her neck from a distance, "Tsk! Pretty intense, huh?"
Zhao Meimei instinctively touched her neck and only felt the spot faintly ache. She took a small mirror to inspect closely, and seeing the dark purple mark, hesitated briefly before realizing what it was. Her face turned bright red in an instant.
During class, Zhang Zhao passed over a band-aid wrapped in a paper ball, and Zhao Meimei hurriedly covered the mark on her neck with it.
Xu Xu noticed and was quite surprised, "Meimei, what happened to your neck?"
With a blush, Zhao Meimei lied, "I got bitten by a mosquito, scratched it until it broke the skin, so I put on a band-aid to avoid infection."
Xu Xu didn’t doubt her and turned away to get busy with his own things.
Wang Jiayue casually said, "Sticking a band-aid in the summer isn’t very good for wound healing."
Zhao Meimei awkwardly laughed, "It’s okay, I’ll remember to take it off when I sleep at night."
Wang Jiayue looked at her and smiled slightly.
In the evening after school, students attending tutoring classes would go together, while others would head home on their own.
Zhao Meimei usually walked with Xu Xu and Wang Jiayue to the school gate, then they would say goodbye and head their separate ways.
But that night, when Zhao Meimei and Xu Xu looked for Wang Jiayue to go home together, Wang Jiayue said someone from her home was picking her up and she wouldn’t be walking with them.
Zhao Meimei and Xu Xu were quite surprised. Considering they’d known Wang Jiayue for so long, it was as if she’d sprung out of a rock. No one had ever seen her father, not even during parent-teacher meetings after exams.
However, whether it was the carefree Zhao Meimei or the meticulous Xu Xu, both tacitly chose to leave together quietly, as they weren’t curious to pay homage to Wang Jiayue’s money-focused but daughter-neglecting father.
Zhao Meimei walked alongside Xu Xu, with Xu Xu habitually carrying her backpack for her.
Xu Xu’s height had recently shot up, reaching 176 cm, and when standing next to Zhao Meimei, they looked quite harmonious and well matched.
With her backpack, Wang Jiayue trailed behind them at a distance, her gaze lingering on their side-by-side silhouettes, her upper teeth biting hard into her lower lip, leaving a deep mark.
A cheeky whistle suddenly sounded behind her. Turning her head, Wang Jiayue saw Zhang Zhao, bag slung over one shoulder, raising one corner of his mouth into a mocking arc.
Facing Zhang Zhao, Wang Jiayue almost reflexively hunched her back slightly. Warily, she asked, "Did you pass me a note, saying you have something you want to talk about?"
Zhang Zhao glanced at her indifferently, "Let’s go."
Wang Jiayue stood still, questioning, "Wh-where are you taking me?"
Zhang Zhao strode toward the school’s back gate without looking back, saying as he went, "Don’t you want to know what happened with that hickey on Zhao Meimei’s neck?"
Wang Jiayue’s habitually bent back quivered slightly. She looked up at Zhang Zhao’s tall silhouette, hesitated for a moment, but followed him in the end.
Zhang Zhao skipped the tutoring session for no reason. Robber Hao, holding the test papers, stood on a much narrower platform than at school, scolding in disappointment, "Zhang Zhao is just mud that can’t hold up a wall! None of you should follow his example! He’s like a rotten fish that ruins an entire pot of soup!"
Amid Robber Hao’s furious complaints, Zhao Meimei turned her head to look at the empty seat in the last row, thinking: Zhang Zhao is really going crazy!
She sneakily took out a small mirror, peeled off the band-aid, and closely examined the mark that had noticeably faded. Her mind flashed back to Shi Yang the previous night, her heart and face both flushing as she stared absentmindedly at the test paper for quite some time before refocusing and getting back to work.
After class, as usual, Robber Hao delayed them for over ten minutes before reluctantly releasing the room full of "hopes."
Zhao Meimei grabbed her backpack and hurriedly dashed out ahead of the others. As soon as she exited the gate, she saw Shi Yang standing under the streetlamp. Smiling, she waved and ran over.
Shi Yang reached out to take Zhao Meimei’s backpack, naturally putting his arm around her shoulder, as they walked home lovingly.
Turning past the building in front of the tutoring class brought them to their building. Avoiding the crowd behind them, Shi Yang almost eagerly pulled Zhao Meimei into the shadowy spot in front of the hallway.
Shi Yang dotingly kissed her forehead, "Did you miss me?"
Zhao Meimei smiled and nodded, "I’ve almost missed you to death!"
