Chapter 136: Chapter 135 Finally Held
The house of Shi Yang’s family is a three-bedroom, two-living room layout. The master bedroom is occupied by Shi Yang’s parents. The two slightly smaller bedrooms, the one facing the sun is Shi Yang’s, while the one next to the bathroom is made into a study for Shi Yang’s father to work in.
In the evening, to entertain Zhao Meimei’s family, Shi Yang’s mother moved the dining table to the living room. A slightly smaller table was placed in the dining room, piled with ingredients that couldn’t fit on the kitchen counter.
Shi Yang’s mother’s cooking skills are average; she can only stew fish and stir-fry a few simple vegetarian dishes, with a taste that varies between too bland and too salty each time.
Seeing the chaotic kitchen his mother had made, Shi Yang turned away to his bedroom to call and order food, ordering seven or eight small stir-fry dishes that he found quite tasty.
Just as he hung up the phone, Zhao Meimei opened the door and walked in.
Before Shi Yang could turn around, Zhao Meimei hugged him around the waist.
Zhao Meimei pressed her face against Shi Yang’s lower back, sniffed like a puppy, and mumbled, "Finally holding you, I’ve missed you to death."
Shi Yang turned around, casually tossed his phone onto the bed, and wrapped his arms around Zhao Meimei, his eyes alight with joy.
He watched as Zhao Meimei clung affectionately to him, rubbing and cuddling, his Adam’s apple unconsciously quivering lightly.
Zhao Meimei pressed her nose against Shi Yang’s soft sweater, inhaling his scent—the scent that hadn’t changed at all.
Shi Yang reached out to disentangle Zhao Meimei from his embrace, deeply gazing into her inky black eyes, cradling her head with one hand, his long fingers gently rubbing her scalp through her hair.
Zhao Meimei tilted her head slightly upward, letting her back rest directly in Shi Yang’s palm. The unpatterned caresses sent waves of tingles up her spine.
Zhao Meimei comfortably squinted her eyes and smiled, throwing a flirtatious glance at her Brother Yangyang, "Did you miss me?"
Shi Yang gazed at her, his thumb lightly tracing over the little hollow at the back of her head, gently pinching as he increased the pressure, making Zhao Meimei let out a soft moan of pleasure, her eyes turning into thin slits.
The next second, Shi Yang cradled Zhao Meimei’s head, lowered his head, and kissed her passionately.
The familiar taste of saliva and a faint tobacco scent immediately enveloped Zhao Meimei’s lips, and her mind went blank, her ears unable to hear anything.
Shi Yang extended his tongue, almost dominatingly and forcefully exploring, his strong tongue sweeping across Zhao Meimei’s mouth, intensely sucking her tongue.
Zhao Meimei’s tongue was roughly tugged, a bit painful and ticklish, the overbearing biting engulfing her, stripping away all her thoughts and sanity.
While kissing, Shi Yang kept an ear out for any sounds outside, wary of someone pushing the door open and witnessing this heated scene.
After indulging in the kiss, Shi Yang lifted his head, lingeringly reaching out to lightly stroke Zhao Meimei’s lips left damp by his kisses.
Zhao Meimei, her body soft and limp, leaned against her Brother Yangyang, looking straight into his eyes.
Shi Yang’s eyes held deep, misty whirlpools, a trace of saliva hung at the corner of his lazy, charming smile, captivating Zhao Meimei, making her feel almost drunk.
Shi Yang likewise stared at the person in his arms intently, noticing Zhao Meimei’s sparkling eyes brimming with an obvious tinge of emotion, feeling a rush of warmth rise through his body. He closed his eyes, waiting for the intensity to pass, then asked in a hoarse voice, "Meimei, would you rather live here, or go to your grandma’s?"
Zhao Meimei answered without hesitation, "Of course, here."
Shi Yang tightened his embrace, "Your dad will definitely go back south to care for your grandma, and your mom will have to go with him. If your parents aren’t here, would you still want to stay?"
Zhao Meimei was stunned, her eyes wide with confusion.
Shi Yang kissed her forehead, "Come, let’s sit and talk."
Zhao Meimei followed her Brother Yangyang to sit on the bed, facing each other as they talked.
Shi Yang explained his plans to Zhao Meimei, whose hands sweated slightly as she nervously kneaded his fingers throughout.
Gently, she lifted her gaze and asked, "Brother, can I really move in?"
Shi Yang nodded emphatically, "Why not? You definitely can."
He added, "Some things, I share with you, but don’t spread them around, okay?"
Zhao Meimei agreed without hesitation, "I won’t spread them; I’m on your side, definitely rooting for you."
Shi Yang’s heart warmed at her words, earnestly saying, "Your dad is set on fulfilling his filial duties to your grandma; it’s what he wishes to do and should do, so we can’t stop him. But if you go along, your parents will be busy looking after your grandma and won’t have time to care for you."
Shi Yang’s heart ached at this thought, and he resolutely said, "You’re about to be a junior, a crucial time for intense studies; you can’t afford to slack off. If you live at my place, not only can we take care of you, but we can also be together. Meimei, do you want to be with me?"
Saying this made Shi Yang’s face burn a little; he had resorted to using charm to persuade Zhao Meimei to stay.
Of course, Zhao Meimei wanted to stay, but thinking about her parents leaving made her hesitate a bit, "But if I miss my parents, what should I do?"
Shi Yang quickly replied, "Don’t worry, as long as you stay here, in less than a year your parents will move back for you."
Zhao Meimei thought about it and agreed, knowing her parents wouldn’t abandon her here without a care.
Shi Yang gently coaxed, "If you leave with them, you might not be able to come back, but if you stay, your parents will eventually stay as well. Besides, during winter and summer breaks, and the short vacations during May Day and National Day, I can accompany you to visit them; it’s not like we’ll be apart for too long."
Delighted, Zhao Meimei’s eyes sparkled as she asked, "Of course I want to stay and be with you, but will my parents agree?"
Seeing Zhao Meimei’s expectant expression, emotions welled up in Shi Yang’s heart, feeling incredibly happy that the person he loved wanted to stay with him, to be by his side, an indescribable feeling.
Outside, Shi Yang’s mother’s voice rang out, "Yangyang, Meimei! Come wash your hands, dinner’s ready!"
Shi Yang responded, "Coming!"
He reached out to pull Zhao Meimei up and helped her tidy her slightly messy hair.
Shi Yang hugged Zhao Meimei, reminding her, "Leave this matter to me; you don’t need to worry about it, understand?"
Zhao Meimei, already used to listening to Shi Yang, nodded upon hearing his words, "Okay."
Only then did Shi Yang guide her by the shoulders, and the two of them, one after the other, exited the room.
