Chapter 935: Chapter 933: SENT OFF
[Babe, I am approaching your place. Have the guards open for me!]
The next morning, around 7 am, Diamond chuckled as she listened to Waylon who was about to arrive at Cherry Court.
Last night, she got a call from him and he was very eager about sending her off to the airport. Having more time to spend with him, Diamond didn’t turn that chance down and simply told him the time.
She planned to have the bodyguards sent them off since she and Ruby would be flying with two more back home. However, having Waylon send her off, was tempting. She could only agree.
Diamond had Andrea call the security guards and Waylon smoothly entered the court.
Diamond was done with the preparations and only left with having breakfast.
With Waylon’s arrival, it now meant having another person at the table which would only make the house lively.
Thinking about meeting her intern boyfriend, she happily made way outside and when she got there, the young man was just alighting from the car holding a bouquet of roses in his hands.
"Babe!" he happily called, a smile on his face and Diamond’s heart flattered.
"You are here!"
Waylon nodded beamingly as he walked towards her and when he got closer, he pulled her in for a hug and Diamond hugged the young man back.
Inside the villa, Ruby clicked her tongue enviously upon seeing that scene and inwardly thought to herself as she made way to the dining room, ’One day I will hug my own man confidently!’
The thought of dating after that long talk, she eavesdropped openly was shaky. Moreover, not knowing if Waylon had told Sean about Diamond’s words. She hadn’t heard much from Sean but that didn’t affect her too much. After all, she didn’t have such kind of feelings for him just yet.
And if he could be swayed or pushed by such words, then perhaps he wasn’t meant to be hers.
When she got to the dining room, she greeted Ivy, who was reading a newspaper and Auntie Janet, who was serving the plates.
She also noticed an extra set of cutleries and knew that Diamond must have had told Auntie Janet about the guest.
A few moments later, Diamond and Waylon joined them and a round of greetings followed.
After that, everyone started digging in and during the meal, Waylon was very attentive to Diamond and picked the dishes that Diamond looked at more.
Breakfast was hearty and stuffing. It was as if Ruby was being fed dog food. It reminded her of the time when Gael was here.
She couldn’t help but feel curious. How would these two young men react when they meet each other?
Suddenly she was looking forward to that very moment.
After breakfast, Waylon waited for Diamond who went upstairs to get her suitcase alongside Ruby. The two sisters didn’t take much time before they were back downstairs.
Waylon carried both suitcases and went outside with them. However, the moment he stepped outside, he froze slightly upon seeing the foreigners who stood guard with black SUVs.
"Darling, pass those to them!" Diamond cheerfully instructed and Waylon didn’t object but readily passed the suitcases over.
When Ruby saw the familiar bodyguards, she was obviously happy and turned to look at Diamond.
"Sis, can I take a ride with them?"
She didn’t want to travel with Diamond and Waylon at all.
Diamond didn’t know what the little girl was thinking but she didn’t mind at all. After all, spending time with her beloved was what she wanted.
As for Ruby, she still has more days with her.
So, without any reluctance, she readily gave her approval and Ruby jovially skipped, heading towards the other SUV.
As a result, Diamond and Waylon boarded Waylon’s sports car which was what both of them wanted.
Without further ado, the entourage made its way out of the villa court and inside the couple’s car, soft music was playing, and the couple were chatting.
"Babe, when are you returning?"
"Hehe, I haven’t even departed yet and you are already anxious?" she teased as she playfully flicked her nails while looking at him.
He sheepishly smiled as he stole a glance and responded, "That can’t be helped. I haven’t spent much time with you. I want to go on dates and the like."
Diamond warmed up when she heard that. She wasn’t someone who had a lot of time on dates. So, the idea on going to dates was truly appealing and tempting.
"Don’t worry, we will have time. I will be gone for a week," she said and mentioned the date, which made Waylon beam up.
"That’s good. Can I come and pick you up?"
How could she say no to that?
"Sure. I will send you the flight time a day before."
Waylon was happy to hear that, and his eyes couldn’t help but sweep over her hand and on that couple ring she was still wearing and inwardly thought, ’I need to make her wear mine as well!’ feeling itchy upon seeing another man’s claim on her.
Diamond had no idea about his thoughts and simply brought up another topic.
"What did your family say about the pills?"
That question then brought back what his elders had said to him just last night. He nearly forgot about it after seeing her.
"They are interested and are wondering how many you can supply them."
"I only do direct and cash transactions. As for how much, it depends with how many pills I am given. Currently, I have run out of stock and must wait until I return. He should have sent by then. So, before the new order is sent, ask your elders to give you the list. They can either send the money first or we can do the transaction with the goods in place."
When it comes to money, she understands a very simple concept.
Business was business and personal was personal.
Just because the other party was her beloved didn’t mean that everything was for free. The world didn’t operate like that.
Moreover, after the twins’ misstep, she didn’t want to give anyone pills or cultivation manuals for free without much thought. She nearly sent her family to their maker. She didn’t want to have a repeat of that ever again.
"I will have them write me a list and send it to you. Also give me your bank account. Once the quotation is confirmed, they will send the money," without hesitation, he readily said and Diamond’s eyes sparkled upon hearing that.
That was the sound of money!
Who didn’t love money?
