Chapter 486: Enemy Of All Gods

Chapter 486: Enemy Of All Gods

After leaving the island of Merisia, Daniel appeared directly in his home. He looked around, let out a calm sigh, then focused his attention on his Spiritual Palace.

At the center of it stood a tree, an ordinary one at first glance, but with indescribable beauty. It looked like the most beautiful thing in both worlds.

But aside from its beauty, the power this tree held was far beyond imagination. After all, it was a tree on the same level as the World Tree.

However, there were questions and problems. First, Daniel had no idea about the tree’s full abilities. And second, he didn’t know how to use it at all.

The tree was so powerful it could bring the dead back to life, and even enslave the souls of gods.

That was exactly why the gods sealed it away. But the Fallen God had freed the tree, and the two had even become friends — fighting alongside each other against the gods at that time.

Still, that was all the tree had shown him. The real question was — why did the Fallen God fight against the other gods?

Why did he even become the Fallen God in the first place? What had he done to make all the gods turn against him? Obviously, the result was his death or sealing.

"Power?" Daniel’s eyes suddenly gleamed as a thought struck him.

Power was most likely the main reason the gods turned on the Fallen God — the overwhelming and terrifying power he possessed.

From that small fragment of memory the tree had shown him, Daniel saw how the Fallen God fought dozens of gods at once — and was actually winning. He was so strong that Daniel could see the fear and helplessness of the gods in front of him.

Most likely, the gods were afraid that the balance of power would collapse, or that the Fallen God would grow ambitious and try to become the King of Gods. So they decided to stop him.

Did it work? Daniel didn’t know. He had only seen a small fragment of their battle — nothing more.

Still, even that fragment was enough for him to realize how terrifying the power of the gods truly was. A single careless strike from them could shatter galaxies.

"But how did I even get the Fallen God’s bloodline?" Daniel muttered, frowning. "Was it because of the Mother System? No, that seems unlikely."

He knew he had no actual blood or lineage connection to the Fallen God. Yet somehow, he carried the bloodline of the being the gods themselves feared — a bloodline of taboo existence.

He was certain it must have been granted by an external force. But the question was — who?

The Mother System? The Fallen God himself? Or his father...?

Since he lacked enough information, he couldn’t make any solid conclusion, so he decided to stop thinking about it for now.

Instead, he turned his last glance toward the tree. It looked weary, as if it had fallen asleep — but Daniel knew it was simply restoring its energy. It wouldn’t take too long.

"Maybe I can use it as a source of the Law of Life," he murmured as another idea sparked in his mind, his eyes shining with a hint of excitement.

He had always planned to master all the Supreme Laws, but the biggest problem was the lack of proper Sources.

So far, he had partial mastery over the Laws of Death, Eternity, and Moon. He also had some ideas about the Law of Chaos, but knew nothing concrete — it required research.

Now, with this tree, he could finally start cultivating the Law of Life. For someone like him, who constantly faced life-and-death situations, it could be an incredible advantage.

Then he stood up, changed his clothes, took a shower, and went to see his family.

Although he wanted to begin cultivating the Law of Life, now wasn’t the right time. There were still things he needed to take care of, and he would probably have to enter seclusion again soon.

For one, his soul, the Undying Soul of Dragon, had reached 72%. Now it was time to see if he could use his bloodline to push it to 100%.

He was curious what would happen once it reached full completion. Would his soul evolve again? Would it become stronger? And if so, how much?

He also needed to further deepen his understanding of the Laws of Death and Moon. Now that he had reached Rank A, his limits for Law comprehension had expanded significantly.

On top of that, he planned to combine all his Law Sources together — one of the unique features of the Transcendent Scripture.

It allowed a person not only to build multiple Spiritual Palaces but also to merge their Sources, raising the limits of how many Laws and Supreme Laws one could cultivate.

Daniel also felt that by merging all his Sources, he might even solve the problem of the Flower Of Eternity

It had been a long time since he could properly use the Law of Eternity because the Flower had withered. To heal it, he needed to visit the Pagoda of Eternity.

While he would definitely go to the Pagoda eventually, restoring the flower early would benefit him far more, especially since he planned to challenge two Tower Floors consecutively soon. He needed all his power.

Of course, all of this was just speculation. He wasn’t sure if merging all his Sources would really solve the problem. He needed to test it.

So, after setting aside those thoughts, he went to see his family. He talked with them, asked how they’d been doing, and what they had done during the week he was away.

When he looked at Alice and Tiana, he could instantly tell their potential had increased, and their strength was nearly triple what it had been a week ago.

They wanted to train with him — basically using it as an excuse to spend more time together — but Daniel had to refuse this time.

He had things to do and no time to waste. After chatting and spending some time with his mother and sisters, he left the house and headed toward the Everlight Moon guild.
