Chapter 643: Drunk and Laundry

Chapter 643: Drunk and Laundry

On the sidewalk...

"Yueyue, you know where Lily’s friend’s house is, right? " Yuqi asked.

"Um... I think I do."

As the two of them continued walking down the sidewalk, they soon found themselves at a dead end.

"You sure this is the right place?" Yuqi questioned as the building in front of them didn’t have any lights on.

"I’m certain this is the right place. At least that’s what my agents had told me in the past."

Yueyue took the lead as she walked all the way up to the cabin before giving it a gentle knock at the door.

The two waited for a response, but it never came.

"It feels like no one lives here at all... I’m pretty sure people living in these wooden cabins have been relocated to Guangzhou."

"Maybe the info I got was out of date then... What do we do now?"

Yueyue asked as she tried to look through the window on the side, only to see a curtain that blocked the inside view.

"Let’s just go back for now——"

Just as Yuqi was about to step out of the front porch, the door opened, revealing a middle-aged man.

"Hello. Is this Lily’s friend’s home?" Yueyue asked, her hand reaching to the back as she started to get a little concerned.

"Yes, and you are?"

"We’re Lily’s sisters. We are wondering if she’s here. We just want to check if she’s fine."

"Lily isn’t here... My daughter headed out with her a few hours ago. I remember they said they are going to a class party or something."

"I see... Do you know when your daughter is coming back?"

"I called my daughter earlier and she said she’s coming back at one... Lily is probably with her as well."

"Thank you very much."

"No problem."

As the door closed, the two of them looked a little relieved as they walked out of the front porch.

"Well, at least we know she isn’t kidnapped," Yueyue murmured as they began heading back home.

"She could have said she’s going to her class party. Why did she say she’s going to her friend’s place to party?"

"Maybe it’s a different friend’s place that’s hosting the class party... Either way, we at least know Lily should be safe."

---

When the two of them arrived back home, they were a little surprised to see Lily’s shoe on the shoe rack.

"Welcome back."

As Leyan closed the door for the two of them, Nami and Tianci were both sitting beside Lily, whose face was resting on a bucket.

"Is she okay?" Yuqi curiously asked.

"Of course not. She had the smart idea to drink at her party. Where the hell did these kid even get their hands on alcohol?"

Seeing the anger on Leyan’s face, both Yueyue and Yuqi realize Lily had fucked up big time.

"At least she’s back home safely now. I’m going back to bed."

"M-Me too."

As Yueyue and Yuqi both headed back upstairs, Leyan let out a small sigh as she walked back over to the sofa.

"Who told you to drink? Was it your friends? Where did you even go tonight?" Leyan questioned.

"I——"

Before Lily could answer, she threw up into the bucket again, slowly catching her breath as Nami took out a tissue to wipe her mouth.

"I-I was just curious what alcohol tasted like... I didn’t know it was this bad——Ugh."

Watching her throw up into the bucket again, Leyan couldn’t help but feel angrier and angrier.

"Who’s the one who gave you the alcohol? I just want to talk to them."

"Mom, stop questioning her like that. Can you not see she’s dizzy? Just give her a little time to sober up first."

Nami’s comment made Leyan fall back into silence. She quickly walked over to the water dispenser before handing Lily a cup of water.

"Here, take a sip."

"T-Thank you."

As Lily drank the water down, the redness on her face dissipated a little. Still, she looked too dizzy to sit upright.

"You feeling better now?" Leyan softly asked, holding down the urge to speak as loudly as earlier.

"Y-Yeah... S-Sorry, Mom."

Leyan froze for a second as she couldn’t believe what just came out of Lily’s mouth. All the anger in her brain instantly vanished.

In its place was a surge of affection and guilt, wanting to make up for how she had treated Lily earlier.

"Lily, just tell me next time when you’re going to drink. I can pick you up instead of having your friend walk you back home, okay?"

"Okay."

"Ahem, Nami, Tianci, you two can go to sleep... I can take care of Lily from here."

"Goodnight then."

As the two of them headed upstairs, Leyan quickly took a seat beside Lily before grabbing a tissue to wipe her mouth again.

"How much did you drink tonight?" Leyan curiously asked as she threw the tissue into the bin.

"J-Just a few shots."

"Really... I guess this is your first time drinking, isn’t it?"

As Lily slowly nodded her head, Leyan got up from the sofa before taking the bucket with her.

"You feeling better now, right? I’m going to dump this outside... Be right back."

"Okay."

As Lily leaned back onto the sofa, her head was still dizzy as ever. Yet, she didn’t regret it a single bit.

She still couldn’t believe what she had done tonight. Going to a party and drinking alcohol for the first time.

Just as she was about to get up to get some water, Leyan had already come back with a whole mug of water.

"Here, drink this. It should make you feel better."

The coldness of the lemon-tasting water instantly woke Lily up a little before Leyan helped her drink all of it down.

"Thank you..."

"No worries."

As Leyan put the mug back onto the coffee table, the two looked back at each other in an awkward silence until she spoke up again.

"Lily, I don’t blame you for drinking, okay? I didn’t mean to be so mad at you earlier. Can you accept my apology?"

Hearing her apology, a sense of guilt started to foster in Lily’s heart. Her mind finally realized the worries she had created for Leyan.

"No, no, no. I-I shouldn’t be drinking. I should be the one saying sorry for breaking my promise to come home early."

"Come here."

As the two of them hugged, tears suddenly started falling out of Lily’s eyes as she couldn’t hold it back at all.

"What’s wrong, Lily? D-Did I do something wrong?" Leyan nervously asked.

"N-No, you didn’t do anything wrong... I-I’m just happy someone cared about me." Lily quietly murmured.

"Oh, sweetie. Everyone at home cared about you, okay?"

Leyan quickly took out another tissue, helping her wipe the tears off her face as the sobbing slowly stopped.

"Let me carry you back to your bed... You need some sleep now."

As she gently lifted her in her arms, Lily didn’t object to it, letting Leyan carry her all the way upstairs.

"W-Wait... M-Miss Leyan, can you bring me to the shower? I-I kind of threw up on my clothes."

"Don’t call me Miss Leyan anymore. Call me Mom, okay? You already called me that before, no need to be embarrassed."

"I..."

Lily’s brain froze for a second as her sobered mind quickly started to realize what she had been calling Leyan earlier.

"Is there something wrong?" Leyan asked as she opened the bathroom door, walking into the changing area.

"N-Nothing."

As Leyan began helping Lily take off her clothes, she saw the stain near the back, along with a strong, foul smell from her pants.

"Did you throw up on your clothes earlier?" Leyan questioned.

"I-I think so... Sorry." Lily nervously apologized.

"It’s fine. No need to say sorry for that."

Leyan quickly took Lily’s clothes out of the laundry basket, carrying them in her hands as they headed inside the bathroom proper.

"Can you take a shower yourself? I’ll go handwash this first before putting it into the machine."

Lily nodded, slowly walking over to the shower area by herself as Leyan headed over to the bathroom sink.

With the washboard taken out of the sink cabinet, Leyan turned on the tap as water splattered all over the dirty clothes.

"Time to give it a good ol scrub..."

After applying a bit of soap, rinsing it over and over again, and a bit of elbow grease, the visible stain and the stench disappeared.

"There we go... Now time to go back."

As she headed back to the changing area, she quickly put Lily’s clothes into the light color basket before noticing something different about the clothes.

"Really? They mixed up the clothes again?"

Leyan let out a small sigh as she bowed down to separate the lighter cloths from the darker cloths.

After everything was separated into two neat piles, she let out a sigh again, as underneath the dark pile was filled with Kate’s bras and panties.

"For fuck sake, how many times do I need to tell her this?"

Taking the undergarment out, Leyan put them into a small mesh laundry bag before loading the separate undergarment basket into the bag.
