Suddenly, the cellphone rang.
To answer the call conveniently, Gu Qiangwei slowed down her car significantly and then picked up the phone, seeing it was Qin Sijue calling.
“Hello?”
“Where are you!?” On the phone, Qin Sijue’s voice was clearly fraught with anxiety.
“I’m on Southwest Road! Yishan’s car broke down, I came to pick her up.” Noticing a T-intersection ahead, Gu Qiangwei slowed down even further, while responding to Qin Sijue.

If she hadn’t been able to drive, she definitely wouldn’t have come to pick up Yishan by herself.

“Almost, about another ten kilometers or so.”
“Once you get there, stand still with Huo Yishan and don’t go anywhere, wait for me to come get you!” As he spoke, Qin Sijue was already rapidly heading towards the front door.
Gu Qiangwei on the phone was somewhat confused.
She clearly had her own car there, why did she need to wait for him to come pick her up?
“No need, I drove here…”
“Just do as I say! I’ll be there in no time!”

Could it be that he had seen the news about Nangong Feifei’s escape as well, and was worried she might be targeted for revenge?

However, she couldn’t simply refuse a distress call from a close sister because of a fugitive Nangong Feifei.
She didn’t have many friends, her only close sister was Huo Yishan, was she supposed to say, ‘I can’t come pick you up because Nangong Feifei has escaped’? She couldn’t do that, nor did she think that by going out, she would just happen to be targeted by Nangong Feifei.
Although she vaguely felt that this escape would only have two purposes for Nangong Feifei, either to flee the country or seek revenge against her.
