The torturous month had finally passed.
Early in the morning, Gu Qiangwei couldn’t wait to make her way to the backyard, breathing in the tranquility of the morning, along with the light scent of the fields in the air that was so refreshing.
“Granddaughter-in-law, you should have stayed in bed for a few more days; it would have been good for your health.”
Zhuang Yanyan, watching her hurry downstairs and noticing the brisk morning breeze, was still somewhat worried about Gu Qiangwei.
But Gu Qiangwei really didn’t want to stay in her room anymore.
She had looked up some information and found that as long as she took good care of her body, she wouldn’t need to stay in bed for those extra few days.
“Grandma, I really don’t want to be cooped up in the room anymore.”
Knowing that the younger generation is restless and can’t stand solitude, Zhuang Yanyan just smiled and didn’t make it difficult for her.
“All right, let’s have breakfast.”
Gu Qiangwei nodded and then entered the living room with Zhuang Yanyan.
“By the way, since today is the weekend, don’t forget to take the baby to visit your maternal home after breakfast!” As someone who has been through it all, Zhuang Yanyan couldn’t help but remind them.
Gu Qiangwei looked up and smiled, “Okay, I know.”
Next to her, Qin Sijue who was eating paused for a moment, then a smile curled up at the corner of his mouth.
At last he could hold his son!
After breakfast, Qin Sijue and Gu Qiangwei went to Nangong Villa together.
Seeing the two cute babies, Tang Yuyan, Nangong Mingchuan, and Nangong He, all handed out big red envelopes as gifts for meeting the little ones for the first time.
Additionally, Tang Yuyan had made a special trip to Futai Mountain to get two amulets for the babies’ safety.
Nangong Xi also gifted his favorite toys to them.
However, since Xiaoqin and Little Duke were quite young, they couldn’t really play with the toys yet.
They stayed at Nangong Villa until the afternoon before Qin Sijue and Gu Qiangwei left with their two sons.
On the way back, Gu Qiangwei noticed that the car was not headed to the Commander Residence but was taking the private road to Jueyuan.
“Are we not going to Commander Residence?” she turned her head to look at the man sitting beside her.
Qin Sijue, admiring his younger son’s sleeping face, replied without looking up, “No, we’re not.”
“Why?” Grandma is probably busy preparing dinner by now, right?
“With them around, my sons would be monopolized.”
Gu Qiangwei was stunned, somewhat tearful at this reasoning.
Qin Sijue really was jealous of everything; it used to be about her affection, and now it included their two sons!
Upon reaching Jueyuan, even though they had been away for a month, the place was still spotless, neatly and cleanly maintained.
When they didn’t return by evening, Zhuang Yanyan, sensing something, made a call to Jueyuan.
“Qin Sijue, where have you whisked away my granddaughter-in-law and great-grandsons to!?” As soon as the call connected, Zhuang Yanyan’s roar came through, and Qin Sijue quickly moved the phone a bit away from his ear.
Then, he casually uttered three words, “Honeymooning.”
At the other end of the phone, Zhuang Yanyan was taken aback.
Even Gu Qiangwei was bewildered.
They had returned to Jueyuan, how was that honeymooning?
“What honeymoon?”
“We’ll have a wedding when we’re back from honeymooning,” Qin Sijue added.
At these words, both Zhuang Yanyan and Gu Qiangwei were stunned.
A wedding?
Looking up, Gu Qiangwei stared blankly at the man before her.
Glancing over, she only now noticed that what he’d been looking at was a wedding planning book.
“Grandson, are you going to have a wedding with Qiangwei?”
“Yes,” Qin Sijue confirmed while on the phone, his other hand still flipping through the wedding planning book.
