Her mission here was to look after the pregnant president’s wife, fearing she might wake up, not find President Qin, and run out of the office, possibly leading to some mishap.
Looking at Xiaozhang, Gu Qiangwei smiled and said, “Like this.”
“Hmm!”
“I understand, thank you.”
Xiaozhang was flattered, since after all Gu Qiangwei was of such a high status, yet she thanked her, a mere assistant, making her feel somewhat ashamed.
While they were talking, at the end of the corridor, the meeting room door was opened, and some senior leaders came out one after another from the strict meeting room.
“The meeting is over!”
Looking not far from the open meeting room door, Xiaozhang smiled and spoke.
Shortly after, Qin Sijue walked out of the meeting room with a frosty face, and in less than a minute, he reached where she was standing.
“Awake?”
She nodded her head, then was led by him into his office.
“Hungry?”
“Hungry.” She did not deny it, as with her growing belly, she indeed tended to get hungry more easily.
He smiled slightly, “Let’s go, time to eat!”
The two took the elevator down to the first floor.
“What would you like to eat?” Qin Sijue asked.
Gu Qiangwei, however, was fixed on the harsh sun outside, just looking at it made her feel extremely hot, making one not want to go out at all.
“It looks so hot outside.”
Qin Sijue looked up, eyeing the blazing sun outside, his brow was tightly furrowed.
Since becoming pregnant, she seemed even more prone to feeling overheated than before, she recalled that early in the summer it had not been particularly hot, but she only wanted to wear a thin, short-sleeved maternity shirt.
He had originally planned to take her to a restaurant near Dizun, but thinking about the few minutes walk, Qin Sijue changed his mind.
“We’ll drive there, what would you like to eat?”
Hearing they would drive there, Gu Qiangwei smiled, “How about that last time, Era Restaurant?”

“Why? I want to eat their steak.”

Gu Qiangwei wasn’t insistent on having steak from that particular restaurant, but him mentioning it made her more curious about his reason for avoidance.
“Then tell me first, why aren’t we going to that restaurant?” It was just a meal, yet it seemed like he had some matter there he didn’t want her to know about.
Qin Sijue frowned, actually, it wasn’t that he disliked the restaurant, but because Huo Yishan had said that thing last time, so he had been somewhat sensitive about it ever since.
Yet that was a reason he couldn’t openly discuss.
“Nothing much.”
He took her hand and walked towards the door, “Wait here a moment, I’ll go get the car.”
Looking at his leaving figure, Gu Qiangwei frowned and could only stand there waiting.
Of course, due to the sweltering weather, she did not go outside but stood waiting inside.
Shortly after, Qin Sijue drove the car to the building entrance, then got out of the car and took her hand to walk down the steps, and sit in the passenger seat, meticulous from start to finish!
On the way to the restaurant, Gu Qiangwei remained curious about the reason.
