Chapter 433: Chapter 433 I’m Already Here (2)

After Ye Nai hung up the phone, she opened the transmission port and stepped forward to the tracks.

"Look here, are these tracks left by military vehicles?"

"They really are!"

Everyone immediately spread out, following these tracks, and found more, longer, and continuous tracks in the wild grass.

"It seems to be tracks from our patrol team."

"Alright, we’re at the spot now."

"Do we transmit over, drive over, or call them to pick us up?" Ye Nai asked. "Or should we call them to pick us up?"

The Commander thought for a moment, "Let’s have them pick us up. If a transmission port suddenly appears at the command center, we’ll be targeted."

"Okay, let’s sit for a while."

Ye Nai took out a small apricot-colored shelter, tables, chairs, and some fruits from the Otherworld.

Everyone was eating wild fruits, and ten minutes later, they saw a car rushing over to pick them up.

During this time, Ye Nai’s spores naturally found the exact location of the command center for her and continued to expand beyond the border, searching for traces of the enemy’s lines.

Thanks to the Commander, Ye Nai was fortunate to visit the frontline command center for the first time.

This command center was very different from the one in Tongjiang Province, which was set relatively safely behind the frontlines, whereas this command center was positioned right at the front.

Ye Nai didn’t inquire recklessly about the reasons behind this. After signing another confidentiality agreement, she followed the Commander to the logistics warehouse district and stood in a large, empty warehouse.

Then, she received a new frontline map and was tasked to open a transmission port in the gap positions between a few enemy positions identified by drones.

The risk of opening the transmission port became extremely high at this moment; if there was a large deviation, it could easily expose them right under the enemy’s nose.

However, Ye Nai didn’t care about that.

"Commander, if my deviation is too severe and I am exposed, can I eliminate all the enemies?" Ye Nai asked casually while studying the map.

"Do you want to take down an entire enemy base by yourself again?"

The Commander smiled faintly since he had already reviewed Ye Nai’s previous achievements and knew she had done so more than once.

"Might as well deal with them if we encounter them. Why keep them around when they consume resources? Do you know how much soldiers eat? The current food production in the Otherworld nations is unstable, and collecting food is not easy for me."

Ye Nai showed complete disdain for the enemy’s lives, even thinking that more deaths would be beneficial to save the costs of occupying lands.

The Commander chuckled, "According to you, if you make a sweep and no one is left alive, is there still a need to open a transmission port?"

"Absolutely, we can open the port a bit further away."

"Push through all the way, huh?"

"Yes."

"Hmm..." The Commander was momentarily tempted, "Can you really do that?"

"I’m already here."

"I want the Commander, or the highest-ranking officer." The Commander stopped hesitating.

"No problem." Ye Nai pointed to the security personnel, "I’ll leave them to you."

The security personnel were worried, but before they could speak, Ye Nai opened the transmission port and quickly ran off.

"Commander, how can you listen to her!" The security personnel couldn’t help complaining.

The Commander remained calm, "You are her security detail; you must have checked her achievements, right?"

"We did." The security personnel nodded honestly.

"Then that’s settled. It’s said one of her major feats was breaking through an Otherworld kingdom by herself, capturing the entire royal family, isn’t that right?"

"It seems so."

The security personnel recalled visiting the Secret Realm’s big field and seeing a group of captured great nobles, with Ye Nai mentioning the presence of a King and Queen.

"Today we actually saw a group of captured high-ranking nobles, including a King and Queen."

The Commander laughed heartily, "Let her go alone; forcibly following her would only be a hindrance. Leave two people outside the warehouse to stand guard, and let’s take a break."

The security personnel were well-treated by the Commander, while Ye Nai, through the spores’ positioning just outside the border, reached the nearest enemy base.

Along the path cleared by the spores, she laid everyone flat, then picked out those dressed as officers from the unconscious crowd, placing them together to wake them up and interrogate them.

Initially, those officers were unwilling to cooperate, something Ye Nai was accustomed to, treating it as a bizarre yet ceremonial process.

After rounds of painful interrogation, the weakened officers were willing to spill everything.

Ye Nai took out a marker and paper, writing down each one’s identity as confessed, punching holes in the top, and hanging the paper on their outer coat buttons.

Then everyone was collected into the space, officers were kept alive, while soldiers were entirely eliminated.

And thus, one base was cleared.

Next base on the list.

Three hours later, the security personnel at the command center had finished a meal with the camp people, when suddenly a transmission port appeared in the warehouse where they were held, and Ye Nai leisurely emerged from it.

The enemy bases around the front line had all been swept clean, officers captured alive, soldiers killed and discarded to the Otherworld, where vagabonds would deal with them.

As for how the vagabonds handled it, Ye Nai didn’t care.

The captured officer prisoners were concentrated and dumped in the enemy’s nearest rear military fortress.

She looked at the warehouse size, opening one transmission port after another from the inside out, corresponding to however many bases and fortresses were beyond the border, facilitating efficient checking.

The two warriors standing guard outside the warehouse keenly heard noises inside, cautiously pushing the door open, only to be stunned seeing several transmission ports in sight.

Upon seeing intruders, Ye Nai openly waved them over to notify the Commander that the work was all done.

The Commander soon brought a large group over, surrounding the warehouse securely, consequently sending a squad of warriors into each transmission port.

After a short while, each squad returned to report that, except for the military fortress holding officer prisoners, all other enemy bases had been thoroughly cleared, leaving only documents and materials behind, not a living soul to be seen.

The Commander immediately sent people back to retrieve all the materials and took down enemy flags from fortresses, replacing them with national flags to declare change of territorial control.

Whether these lands would be incorporated into Dahua Country’s new map in the future was still undecided, but occupying them was certainly worthwhile.

We mustn’t let lands conquered be swiftly occupied by others, not even foreign natives who’ve survived by luck can encroach on Dahua Country’s combat achievements.

With great merit established, Ye Nai was enthusiastically invited to the kitchen, the cooking squad made an exceptionally sumptuous feast for her alone, which filled Ye Nai to the brim, having her burp from fullness, yet still leaving leftovers.
