Chapter 769: Chapter 769 I Have No Feelings for Her

After fixing Cheng Suisui, he carried her back home.

“Yibai, Yibai, the Lin Family has sent over Lin Raorao’s birthday invitation. It seems Miss Lin is quite satisfied with you,” Jiang’s mother said, laughing so hard she could hardly close her mouth, almost seeing her daughter-in-law and grandson waving at her already.

“I don’t feel anything for her,” Jiang Yibai said indifferently.

That type of woman, even his cat thought she was no good, let alone him!

Upon hearing this, Jiang’s mother instantly frowned and picked up a feather duster to hit him, “You little brat, are you still pining over Luo Mengmeng?”

“Do you even have any bottom line left? Do you still want to become a homewrecker and destroy someone else’s relationship?”

“I’m telling you, if you dare to do such a thing, I’ll dare to kick you out and sever our mother-son relationship!”

Jiang’s mother thought that Jiang Yibai was still hung up on Mengmeng, which is why he didn’t fancy Miss Lin.

Jiang Yibai immediately felt a wave of fatigue and grabbed the duster that was about to fall, “Mom, stop talking nonsense. I don’t have any thoughts about Mengmeng anymore.”

“And what about Miss Lin’s birthday party?” Jiang’s mother stared at him fiercely, as if his reluctance to attend the party was because he hadn’t given up on Mengmeng.

“Fine, I’ll go, okay?” In order not to be misunderstood, Jiang Yibai reluctantly agreed.

Jiang’s mother put down the feather duster, smiling, “Good son, actually, I’m not trying to force you into marriage. I just want you to get to know each other better to avoid missing out on a good girl.”

“Of course, if after getting to know her well, you still feel it’s not suitable, then we can forget about it, after all, good girls aren’t only found in the Lin Family.”

“Mhm.”

After noncommittally responding, Jiang Yibai took his cat upstairs to rest.

Jiang’s mother took two steps after him, “Oh, Pangpang is my precious Dabao, let me hold and sleep with it tonight.”

“No.”

Jiang Yibai refused without a second thought.

He had been feeling extremely lonely lately, and without his cat, he didn’t even know what the point of living was.

Jiang’s mother glared indignantly, “I refuse to believe that you can spend a lifetime just holding Pangpang…”

At that moment, Jiang’s mother had no idea that, before long, Jiang Yibai would indeed spend his lifetime with his “cat.”

Three days later.

Lin Raorao’s birthday party.

Early in the morning, Jiang’s mother asked Jiang Yibai, “You little rascal, have you bought a birthday present for Miss Lin?”

“No,” Jiang Yibai said, cutting his steak while speaking indifferently.

He was only reluctantly attending her birthday party; buying her a birthday present was even more out of the question.

“I knew you didn’t buy anything!” Jiang’s mother gritted her teeth, then magically produced a box from behind her back, “Fortunately, your ingenious mother has thought ahead and prepared a birthday gift for you.”

“Here, give it to Miss Lin personally.”

“Oh.”

Jiang Yibai didn’t even lift his eyelids.

Jiang Yibai might not be interested in the gift, but Cheng Suisui, squatting on the table eating, lifted her delicate cat’s eyes and glanced at the box. She seemed to think of something, meowed, and then jumped down from the table and ran upstairs.

“Little darling, have you eaten your fill?” Jiang’s mother asked softly, looking at its retreating figure.

Cheng Suisui was busy setting off to do something big; she had no time to pay her any mind and directly scurried into the room.

Then she crawled into her cage and fetched out a small cat toy that Jiang’s mother had bought for her, holding it in her mouth.
