Bai Ze arrived at the residence of the Demon Master Kun Peng, only to be informed that Kun Peng was still in seclusion.
Helpless, Bai Ze instructed the small demon guarding the gate to inform Kun Peng of the joyous news of Di Jun and Tai Yi's impending wedding once he emerged from his retreat.
After conveying his message, Bai Ze departed Kun Peng's residence and proceeded to the dwelling of Fu Xi and Nu Wa.
Upon being notified of Bai Ze's arrival by their guards, Fu Xi and Nu Wa ordered the guards to usher him in. Upon seeing Bai Ze, Fu Xi inquired, "Bai Ze, what important matter brings you here?"
Bai Ze immediately replied, "Reporting to Lord Demon Commander, Your Majesty the Demon Emperor and His Highness the Eastern Emperor are about to hold their wedding. I have come specifically to inform you and Elder Nu Wa!"
Fu Xi nodded, acknowledging the message. Seeing that his task was complete, Bai Ze stated, "My Lord, Elder, the two majesties are getting married. I have other pressing matters to attend to, so I shall not impose further!"
Fu Xi then had the guard escort Bai Ze out. After Bai Ze left, Fu Xi turned to Nu Wa and asked, "Little sister, what do you think we should give as a gift for the auspicious occasion of the two majesties' wedding?"
Nu Wa pondered for a moment before replying, "As the rulers of the Demon Court, Di Jun and Tai Yi lack nothing. Let's just give them something simple!"
Fu Xi looked at Nu Wa and chuckled wryly, "Little sister! You may give whatever you wish, as you are not part of the Demon Court. But I cannot!"
Fu Xi pondered for a moment and then had an idea.
After leaving Fu Xi and Nu Wa's abode, Bai Ze immediately rushed off to prepare the wedding invitations. As the chief steward of the Demon Court, Di Jun had entrusted Bai Ze with nearly all aspects of the wedding preparations.
Bai Ze believed that Di Jun and Tai Yi's wedding was a major event for the Demon Court, and as one of the two dominant forces in the Primordial World, they must uphold their prestige.
First, Bai Ze designed ten styles of invitations and presented them to Di Jun and Tai Yi for their perusal, allowing them to choose the final design.
Once Di Jun and Tai Yi had made their decision, Bai Ze immediately dispatched the subordinate demons to commence production.
Meanwhile, Bai Ze began meticulously designing the wedding venue, leaving him utterly swamped with work.
Di Jun and Tai Yi, however, acted as hands-off rulers, opting to simply choose from the designs Bai Ze presented.
Even before the wedding invitations were fully crafted, Tai Yi, impatient, selected twenty-two invitations from those already made and intended to personally deliver them to Kun Lun Mountain.
The reason for twenty-two invitations was that Di Jun and Tai Yi were aware of Zhen Yuan Zi and Hong Yun's relocation to Kun Lun, and adding their own invitations to Di Jun and Tai Yi's meant a total of twenty-two.
Seeing Tai Yi's eagerness, Di Jun remarked, "Tai Yi, perhaps I should accompany you? I wish to invite the Three Pure Ones to officiate our wedding!"
Tai Yi nodded, finding Di Jun's suggestion reasonable. Yuanshi was his master, and Di Jun, Xi He, and Chang Xi were on good terms with the Three Pure Ones, making them suitable officiants for their wedding.
Having made their decision, the two set off towards Kun Lun Mountain.
Upon their arrival at Kun Lun Mountain, Di Jun gazed at the transformed landscape and exclaimed, "It's been so long since I've been here. It feels familiar yet strangely unfamiliar!"
Tai Yi nodded and added, "I never expected Zhen Yuan Zi to move Myriad Longevity Mountain here. It truly doesn't resemble the Kun Lun I remember!"
Di Jun smiled and, spotting the Morning Bell serving as a doorstep, immediately channeled his magical power to strike it.
The Morning Bell, upon being struck by Di Jun, emitted a deafening sound!
"Dong!"
"Dong!"
"Dong!"
Upon hearing the resonance of the Morning Bell, signaling a visitor, Qi Chen immediately rushed towards the mountain gate.
While waiting, Di Jun carefully observed Kun Lun's mountain-guarding formation. He noticed that the formation contained nested formations within it, prompting him to marvel at Tong Tian's ever-deepening comprehension of formations.
Tai Yi, unable to comprehend formations, also closely examined the large bell while Di Jun was occupied with the formation.
Tai Yi observed the inscription "Morning Bell" on the bell and mused on the aptness of the name.
Seeing the bell's seamless construction, as if naturally formed, Tai Yi surmised it must have been forged by his master, Yuanshi. He was also astonished to discover that the Morning Bell was actually a Primordial Spirit Treasure and exclaimed, "Elder Brother! Elder Brother! Come quickly and see, this bell is actually a Primordial Spirit Treasure!"
Di Jun, greatly surprised, quickly approached the Morning Bell to examine it. Indeed, it was a Primordial Spirit Treasure. He asked, "Tai Yi, can Yuanshi even forge Primordial Spirit Treasures?"
Tai Yi shook his head and replied, "I don't know, but this bell is definitely from Master's hand! I wouldn't be mistaken about that!"
Tai Yi then seemed to recall something and added, "That's right, Master possesses a spiritual treasure that can transform acquired into primordial. He must have used this treasure to assist in forging it, otherwise, he couldn't have created a Primordial Spirit Treasure!"
Di Jun commented, "Remarkable. Does this mean your master can produce Primordial Spirit Treasures endlessly? I truly envy that!"
As Di Jun and Tai Yi were awestruck by Yuanshi's prowess, Qi Chen arrived. Upon seeing Tai Yi, he immediately activated the mountain-guarding formation and exclaimed joyfully, "Tai Yi? You're back? Second Uncle will be so happy to see you! Quickly! Quickly! Quickly! I'll take you inside!"
Tai Yi, upon seeing Qi Chen, also called out happily, "Eldest Senior Brother!"
Although Tai Yi's cultivation far surpassed Qi Chen's, Qi Chen was the foremost disciple of the Three Pure Ones and the eldest senior disciple to all of them.
Tai Yi held a fondness for his eldest senior brother. During his time at Kun Lun, not only Qi Chen but all his fellow disciples had treated him well.
Qi Chen led Di Jun and Tai Yi into Kun Lun and directly escorted them to Tai Qing Palace, the abode of Tai Shang.
Within Kun Lun Mountain, aside from Fu Sang and Yue Gui, almost everyone who heard the resonance of the Morning Bell wondered who had come to visit.
Upon meeting Tai Shang in Tai Qing Palace, Di Jun and Tai Yi were warmly welcomed. Tai Shang was overjoyed to see Tai Yi return.
Tai Shang excitedly exclaimed, "Tai Yi, you've returned!"
Tai Yi, upon seeing Tai Shang, respectfully bowed and replied, "Eldest Martial Uncle, your disciple has returned!"
Di Jun also bowed and said, "Greetings, Fellow Daoist Tai Shang!"
Tai Shang returned Di Jun's bow and said to Tai Yi, "It's good that you've returned! It's good that you've returned!"
As Tai Shang finished speaking, the others also arrived at Tai Qing Palace.
Upon seeing Yuanshi, Tai Yi immediately stepped forward to bow, "Disciple pays his respects to Master!"
Yuanshi quickly helped Tai Yi up and said, "It's good that you've returned!"
As Tai Yi bowed to Yuanshi and addressed him as Master, Zhen Yuan Zi and Hong Yun were petrified. One of the two rulers of the Demon Court, Tai Yi, was a disciple of Yuanshi? What was happening in this world?
Seeing that everyone had arrived, Di Jun also paid his respects to Yuanshi, Tong Tian, Zhen Yuan Zi, and Hong Yun.
