After Gonggong and Zhurong departed, they found some delicious spirit beasts near Buzhou Mountain and brought them back.
Gou Mang and Houtu also returned with some celestial spirit fruits.
The twelve Ancestral Witches feasted outside Pangu Hall. After eating, Dijiang addressed everyone, "My brothers and sisters, I propose we emulate the Dragon, Phoenix, and Qilin tribes and condense racial destiny to aid our cultivation. What do you think!"
Qiangliang frowned and said to Dijiang, "Big Brother, the three tribes did not have a good end!"
Zhurong retorted, "Third Brother, you worry too much. The three tribes perished because they fought amongst themselves. With the twelve of us Ancestral Witches united, who can stand against us!"
Dijiang nodded, "Eighth Brother is right, Third Brother, you worry too much!"
Qiangliang felt that Zhurong's words made sense and perhaps he was overthinking it.
Zhu Jiuyin looked at Dijiang and asked, "Then, Big Brother, do you mean we should create a race?"
Dijiang nodded, "Indeed. I plan to use my own essence blood to create a race called the 'Wu'!"
The other Ancestral Witches' eyes lit up, finding Dijiang's idea brilliant.
Seeing that none of the other eleven Ancestral Witches objected, Dijiang took out his essence blood and, referencing the Innate Dao Body, evolved ten beings. However, as the twelve Ancestral Witches were formed from the mixed turbid qi of heaven and earth and Pangu's essence blood, these ten Wu beings evolved from Dijiang's essence blood were still quite far from human form, merely possessing a humanoid semblance.
To avoid the constant need to create Wu beings himself, Dijiang endowed them with the ability to reproduce on their own. As soon as these ten Wu beings emerged, they prostrated themselves before Dijiang and said, "Greetings, Ancestral Witch Dijiang!" They then bowed to the other eleven Ancestral Witches, "Greetings, Ancestral Witches!"
Dijiang, delighted with the Wu beings he had created, said to them, "You may go forth and reproduce on your own, to strengthen our tribe!" The ten Wu beings bowed and said, "We respectfully obey the sacred decree of the Ancestral Witches!" They then slowly withdrew from Pangu Hall.
Zhu Jiuyin watched Dijiang create the Wu race and noted that no merit descended. He asked Dijiang in confusion, "Big Brother, you created the Wu race, why is there no merit descending?"
Dijiang chuckled, "This Wu race was not created by me, but by Father God Pangu!"
The other Ancestral Witches looked puzzled. Houtu spoke up, "What do you mean, Big Brother?"
Dijiang explained, "The Wu race already exists! It is us, the twelve Ancestral Witches! These beings are merely evolved from my essence blood! They are not a new species!" The other Ancestral Witches finally understood.
Seeing that Dijiang's creation of the Wu race was interesting, the other Ancestral Witches emulated him, taking out their essence blood to create their own Wu tribes. After being created by the Ancestral Witches, the Wu beings settled near Pangu Hall, forming numerous small tribes with the Ancestral Witches as their center.
The twelve Ancestral Witches looked at the twelve small tribes near Pangu Hall with satisfied smiles. Zhu Jiuyin said to Dijiang, "Big Brother, in time, these Wu beings will be the force to conquer this world."
Dijiang nodded in agreement and said to the other Ancestral Witches, "Although they are all evolved from our essence blood and possess powerful physiques, they still require our guidance to become formidable assets." The other Ancestral Witches nodded and replied, "Big Brother, rest assured, we understand. We will diligently teach them!"
Zhurong chuckled, "There are many beasts on Buzhou Mountain; we can teach them to hunt. The blood and flesh of beasts will greatly benefit them." Gonggong also nodded, "Eighth Brother is right. There are plenty of beasts on Buzhou Mountain; we should make good use of them."
Dijiang nodded, "You can handle these matters yourselves, but do not neglect your own cultivation!" With that, he headed towards his own tribe to teach the Wu beings there. The other Ancestral Witches, seeing Dijiang leave, also went to their respective tribes, none wishing for their tribe to fall behind.
While the Ancestral Witches were teaching their Wu beings, Di Jun and Tai Yi, who were millions of miles away, were still courting the sisters Xi He and Chang Xi. This left Bai Ze and Ji Meng, two single dogs, in misery.
Since subduing Ji Meng, neither Ji Meng nor Bai Ze knew of any other great demons. Thus, Di Jun decided to continue exploring the primordial land to see if they could encounter any more great demons. Ji Meng, having been injured by Tai Yi and then kicked twice by Chang Xi, was still recuperating. Now, upon seeing Tai Yi and Chang Xi, Ji Meng dared not meet their eyes. Bai Ze also learned that Tai Yi and Chang Xi's combat prowess was terrifying. They appeared harmless, but when they fought, they were formidable. Bai Ze also looked at Di Jun, whom Tai Yi called brother, and Chang Xi's sister, Xi He. He would never believe these two were benevolent. Given how ferocious the younger siblings were, the elder siblings must also be extraordinary. Moreover, the four were in the midst of their romantic relationships, and Bai Ze would never be foolish enough to interrupt them. Thus, only he and Ji Meng followed behind the four. Although they had some past grievances, they now both served under Di Jun and knew each other, so they had some common ground and weren't too bored.
On Kunlun Mountain, Nu Wa had been slowly progressing in her cultivation of the Great Dao since resolving her previous troubles. As for Fu Xi, seeing that his deduction was surpassed by Taishang, he believed Taishang's path of deduction was superior to his own. During their time on Kunlun, Fu Xi became almost obsessed with cultivating the path of deduction. Whenever he encountered problems, he would seek out Li Yi for solutions. Li Yi found it difficult to refuse. His path of deduction was indeed superior to Fu Xi's, but only slightly. Fu Xi had been pestering him for discussions on the Dao these past few days, truly exhausting Li Yi.
Yuan Shi and Tong Tian, due to their preconceived notions, believed Li Yi was interested in Nu Wa and thus tried their best to pair them up. However, Li Yi noticed their excessive involvement in his and Nu Wa's affairs and sensed something unusual. He pulled them aside and questioned them, only to discover what these two were thinking. Li Yi, unsure whether to laugh or cry, thought they were simply too idle. He then instructed Yuan Shi to forge a large bell and place it in front of their mountain gate, so people wouldn't have to shout loudly every time they arrived. Tong Tian, on the other hand, was confined to the Chaos Pearl by Li Yi to cultivate.
Yuan Shi and Tong Tian never expected that Li Yi harbored no romantic feelings for Nu Wa. Realizing they had made a huge misunderstanding, they quickly followed Li Yi's instructions and kept their distance. Yuan Shi, tasked with forging the bell, considered it a display of their status and used precious materials to craft a mid-grade Innate bell. Yuan Shi was quite satisfied with the bell, believing himself to be the only artifact refiner in the world capable of creating such an Innate spiritual treasure. Yuan Shi looked at the Qiankun Cauldron in his hand and felt it was perfect for him. The function of the Qiankun Cauldron in transforming post-natal into pre-natal was truly amazing. Yuan Shi presented the large bell to Li Yi, who was speechless. "Are you afraid the world won't know you have treasures?" he thought, "You're so extravagant as to use an Innate spiritual treasure as a doorbell!" Seeing Li Yi's silence, Yuan Shi assumed he was very pleased and said, "Big Brother, this bell does not yet have a name. Why don't you give it one?" Li Yi helplessly shook his head and inscribed the words "Morning Bell" onto the bell. Upon hearing Li Yi name it "Morning Bell," Yuan Shi praised, "A good name!" Li Yi ignored Yuan Shi, placed the bell at the mountain gate, and released Tong Tian, instructing him to set up a formation to guard it. Li Yi told Tong Tian, "Set up a formation to guard this bell. Only when someone tries to take it will your formation be triggered." Tong Tian, finally released by Li Yi, readily agreed, "Big Brother, don't worry, no problem!"
