Shennong had initially believed the previous words of Chi You were just a jest, but he hadn't expected people from the Wu tribe to actually arrive!
Upon seeing the arrival of the Wu tribe, the Shennong tribe members immediately welcomed them with warmth, and every household offered considerable hospitality!
Shennong, too, diligently taught the Wu tribe members the art of medicine!
Each day, Shennong was either immersed in the study of medicine or instructing his disciples. He would then carve out a small portion of his time to visit Mount Wu and accompany Ting Yao and her two daughters!
Witnessing their leader's dedication, the Shennong tribe members redoubled their efforts in finding a consort for the tribe!
The people of the Shennong tribe traversed between various tribes, seeking out many beautiful women. When other tribes heard it was to find a wife for Shennong, they immediately declared that not only would they forgo any bride price, but they would even offer dowries!
Shennong's reputation had already become legendary among the human tribes. His role in the recent war between humans and the Wu tribe had also won over many tribal leaders!
Within the Shennong tribe, Shennong remained engrossed in his quest for resurrection, oblivious to the matchmaking efforts being orchestrated by his people!
After searching far and wide, they decided to present their findings to Shennong, hoping he would choose one and they could immediately propose marriage!
However, when they informed Shennong of their intentions, he vehemently rejected the idea, even physically ushering them out of his chambers!
"Go, go, don't disturb me here!"
Furthermore, Shennong made it unequivocally clear that the only leader's consort of the Shennong tribe was Ting Yao!
Driven out by Shennong, they could only gaze helplessly at his closed door. With no other recourse, they dispersed to inform the women of Shennong's decision not to remarry!
After dismissing everyone, Shennong ascended Mount Wu and immediately recounted the matchmaking attempts to Ting Yao's spirit tablet!
"A' Yao, if only you were still here, they wouldn't dare be so brazen!"
And so, Shennong lived his life following a simple routine: spending time with Ting Yao on Mount Wu, researching medicine in his room, or instructing his disciples!
After Ting Yao's departure, perhaps Shennong's heart had followed her, and he had gradually grown accustomed to being alone!
Or perhaps Shennong didn't truly feel alone, believing Ting Yao was always by his side!
Within the chaos, Luo Hu and Hong Jun, who were journeying towards the Great Desolation, encountered immense trouble!
Hong Jun, looking at the desolate surroundings, appeared somewhat disheveled.
Hong Jun, warily scanning his surroundings, immediately questioned Luo Hu:
"Luo Hu, what is this ghastly thing?"
Luo Hu's expression was grim, his face darkened as he gravely replied:
"Void Beasts!"
Hearing this, Hong Jun furrowed his brow.
"Void Beasts? What the hell are those? I can't sense them with my divine sense, nor can I see them with my eyes. They're even more peculiar than that Sky Swallowing Python!"
As Luo Hu was about to respond, his expression changed abruptly. He cautiously surveyed their surroundings and warned Hong Jun:
"Be careful, they're coming again!"
Hong Jun cursed, "What the devil!" and immediately unleashed the fragments of the Jade Disk of Creation, emitting a wave of azure light that swept around them. He then roared:
"Let's go!"
Upon hearing this, Luo Hu and Hong Jun fled into the distance together!
Shortly after their departure, the void rippled, and a swarm of unicorn-like beasts, about the size of a fist, appeared where they had stood moments before, vanishing in an instant!
While running, Hong Jun asked Luo Hu:
"Why are those Void Beasts so tenacious? If not for the fragment of the Time Great Dao within my Jade Disk of Creation, which allows for temporal suspension, it would have been difficult for you and me to escape!"
Luo Hu, observing the incessantly chattering Hong Jun, bellowed:
"Hurry up! Those abominations will catch up soon! Moreover, they are mostly pack hunters. If we don't shake them off quickly, their numbers will only grow!"
Hong Jun's expression changed. Ever since he had partnered with Luo Hu, everything Luo Hu had said had come to pass. Hong Jun had no doubt that Luo Hu was being serious!
Suddenly, Hong Jun felt the void behind them vibrate and immediately shouted at Luo Hu:
"How can we possibly shake off these abominations? They're here again!"
Luo Hu and Hong Jun accelerated. Luo Hu roared at Hong Jun:
"Use your Time Great Dao to accelerate our speed! These creatures are fast; only the Chaos Nether Tiger can deal with them!"
Upon hearing this, Hong Jun immediately channeled the Time Great Dao from the fragments of the Jade Disk of Creation, applying it to themselves!
Luo Hu, leading the way, shouted to Hong Jun:
"Keep up with me! Let them chase if they want; we're going to find the Chaos Nether Tiger!"
After saying this, Luo Hu stopped rushing forward blindly. Seeing this, Hong Jun quickly followed suit!
Just as Hong Jun and Luo Hu were frantically fleeing for their lives, a white-browed elder in plain robes within the chaos suddenly frowned and murmured:
"Hmm? A familiar aura! Who could it be?"
As soon as the white-browed elder finished speaking, he frowned again!
"Void Beasts! Why are they being pursued by Void Beasts?"
Luo Hu, spotting a dark forest ahead, sprinkled a dark powder from his head, then tossed some towards Hong Jun. Turning to Hong Jun, he said:
"Be careful. This Chaos Nether Tiger can make Void Beasts wary, but it's no easy opponent. Follow me!"
With that, Luo Hu strode directly into the black forest, and Hong Jun quickly followed!
As soon as Luo Hu and Hong Jun entered the forest, a large group of Void Beasts appeared outside the dark forest!
The Void Beasts hesitated upon seeing the black forest. Just as they approached, a series of roars echoed from within the woods!
"Roar!"
"Roar!"
Hearing the roars, the Void Beasts immediately prepared themselves!
Inside the forest, Luo Hu heard the tiger roars and quickly hollowed out a large tree, entering it with Hong Jun!
Hong Jun, observing Luo Hu's practiced movements, couldn't help but ask:
"Luo Hu, have you encountered these things before?"
The white-browed elder behind the Void Beasts looked at the dark forest ahead and frowned!
"The Gloomy Black Forest? Never mind, never mind. Our destined encounter has not yet come!"
With that, the white-browed elder departed!
