Chapter 393 Another Human Eater Arrives

Xu Qian found it strange; weren't there supposed to be no green dots on the map?

How could this be…

After exchanging a glance, the two said nothing and quietly approached the house.

It was a small two-story building, tiled with white ceramic on the outside.

A national flag was planted on top.

Fluttering freely in the sea breeze.

The closer they got, the more they could hear the eerie laughter from inside.

"Hehehehe, it's almost cooked."

"Smells so good."

"Cui Jie, I'll save your body for last, see how much I love you hahahahaha."

"Should be cooked by now."

"Let me try."

"Tearing it. So hot."

"Cui Jie, your meat is truly fragrant, I knew I was right about you."

Xu Qian's expression flickered. Another cannibal.

She reopened the map and glanced at it again. There were no green or red dots inside the house. What was in there?

Was it human, or a zombie?

Suddenly, the broadcast chimed again.

"Welcome to Xia Hai Island."

"Welcome to Xia Hai Island."

"Cui Jie, my new food is coming soon, aren't you happy?"

"Happy?"

"I knew you'd be happy. I'll bring them back right away."

The two narrowed their eyes simultaneously.

With a thought, Xu Qian summoned her Baser blade to her palm.

Xiang Jintian drew the gun from his waist and cautiously approached.

The man swallowed the meat in his mouth and pulled open the door.

With a "click," a man emerged from the house, utterly disheveled. His hair was long, greasy, and tangled, almost obscuring his eyes.

He wore a simple white t-shirt, stained with black blood, and black trousers. His feet were bare.

He dragged a long, iron-black hammer in one hand, its surface imprinted with many dried and blackened bloodstains.

It seemed many lives had ended by this hammer.

Xu Qian detested cannibals the most. Such people should be dealt with in one swift blow, saving them further trouble.

Sensing her intent, Xiang Jintian reached out and stopped her.

He mouthed words to her.

"Don't rush."

Anyone who had survived on this deserted island for over two years must know many things.

Capturing him and interrogating him would be more efficient than searching blindly.

Xiang Jintian moved lightly, approaching the man from behind.

He struck the man on the back of the neck with his hand when he wasn't paying attention.

The man rolled his eyes and collapsed to the ground, unconscious.

The two worked together to tie the man to a pillar of the house, securing him.

Xiang Jintian hadn't used too much force, so the man would likely wake up soon.

While he was unconscious, they could go inside and see what was happening.

As the two approached the house, a strong stench of decomposition flooded their nostrils.

Xu Qian’s stomach churned, nearly making her vomit.

Outdoors, zombies mostly smelled of rot or blood, but this was an authentic mix of corpse stench and meat.

It was a hundred times more repulsive than the smell of zombies.

Xiang Jintian, rarely affected, frowned. "Xianxian, let's wear masks."

Not just two, even five wouldn't block out that smell.

With a thought, Xu Qian summoned ten masks from her spatial storage.

After equipping themselves, the two dared to step inside.

Even the two who were usually composed found the scene before them incredibly gruesome.

Xu Qian could no longer find words to describe it. Including these two years, she had been in the apocalypse for nine years.

She had never witnessed such a chilling sight.

The interior was simple. In the center was an old-fashioned stove, burning with firewood.

The pot was filled with bubbling, bright red flesh and bones.

To the left of the stove, a woman was tied by her hands and suspended from a roof beam.
