Chapter 303: Chapter 303: The Cheerful An Nan
Thinking of this, Jesse found it both amusing and fascinating. He investigated the identity of this woman, and everything on the file was quite simple: 28 years old, a female captain at Vince Airlines. This profession certainly surprised him; becoming a pilot is not easy, let alone a female captain. The files also stated that she had a twelve-year-old son, which blew his mind again. But it made him increasingly curious about her. This really is a mysterious woman, and he felt she was not as simple as the file might suggest. What secret is she hiding? He believed all this could be explored slowly in the future because he had plenty of time.
He had just finished a press conference, and recently there wasn’t much going on, maybe he could visit a few places to assess the situation. China is a good place to consider.
It also allowed him to understand this woman more closely and find an explanation for his abnormal heartbeat.
This particular night, An Nan slept very soundly. It could be said she hadn’t slept this well for a long time, a sleepless night until dawn.
Once awake, she no longer felt sleepy and simply sat up in bed, ready to wash up and get out of bed.
When she reached the bathroom, she realized that some guy was really thoughtful. All the towels and toothbrushes were new and neatly arranged on the vanity. Seeing all this, she immediately felt the morning was inherently beautiful, as brilliant as the rising sun. It was all too wonderful.
Embracing these wonderful feelings, An Nan completed her wash-up and headed downstairs.
Standing on the stairs, she immediately noticed someone leisurely trimming flower branches in front of the floor-to-ceiling windows in the first-floor lobby, and the person didn’t notice her presence.
She didn’t intend to attract the person’s attention by making noise. Instead, she quietly walked forward. Just as she stood behind the man, he suddenly spoke in a cheerful voice: "Did you sleep well last night?"
"Ah, when did you find out I was here?"
Jesse put down the scissors and turned around with a smile, his deep eyes fixed on An Nan’s face, easy to get lost in the azure depths: "I knew when you came downstairs, but seeing your mischievous smile, I didn’t make a sound, just wanted to see what you were planning. So, you intended to scare me, did you? Too bad, you failed."
An Nan’s cold eyes swept over his beaming face and then she turned towards the sofa: "Didn’t you say you would accompany me for a walk today?"
Jesse admired her ability to change topics from the bottom of his heart but said nothing more, only answering her question: "I’m ready anytime. It’s just that you’ve just gotten up, isn’t it better to have breakfast before I take you out?"
"Sure, sure, what’s for breakfast today?" As soon as she heard there was breakfast, An Nan’s eyes widened with anticipation. She vividly remembered the delightful Italian pasta from last night, wondering what surprise the little brat would give her today.
But she was quickly disappointed. Jesse’s breakfast was only a glass of milk and several pieces of homemade-looking bread, and he added: "Just a little breakfast, I’ll take you for a nice lunch."
So An Nan could only put all her hope in breakfast.
